Had a teacher throw a student's pencil so hard it tore a hole in a smart board, also threw his coffee mug at the wall, and there were rumors he lit a roll of paper towels on fire. He also made the class take a pop quiz and failed everyone because a few kids kept asking the sub from the previous day if she was pregnant (she actually wasn't). Believe it or not I still consider him to be one of the best teachers I have ever had. Linus honestly reminds me of him and actually kinda looks like him

Very common. That's steam coming out from frustration. Many don't have the patience so they say that word. Some people would do it for purpose to scare them so in that way it is like a future notice that eventually that person will be fired. LOL
@AtheistZapp Same in probably most countries in Europe. It cuts both ways. You can't get fired on the spot. In most drastic cases, you may "have" to sign an agreement that you will leave without severance check and the company will not sue you or pursue damage compensation. Where I live, you can't even get fired for working too slow. As long as you're doing SOME work, you can't get fired. The employer can't make demands on how fast you work.
The downside is when you actually want to change your job. It's pretty difficult looking for a new job while also saying that "I'll be available two months from now". Most companies will just keep on looking.
@AtheistZapp It is the same in Germany, but that does only apply after ne first 6 month or when you work for a sub-company :/ In that way people get slaved here. For example the delivery peaople, Foodora, DHL, etc.

I bet you this video is going to see a resurgence from the latest ShortCircuit video. First I want to pay my respect to Tyler, he will be sorely missed; I hope he never stopped feeling comfortable at work. Second, I would like to second what some other people have said, and that is we need a new version of this for 2021. LMG has grown a lot since this was shot, and with five channels, two sister businesses, and 40 employees, it's will be interesting seeing how the dynamic has changed.
coming back to say that now they are firing up Labs and have well over 100 employees - I believe they have at least 140 even. Would certainly be interesting to see how things have changed on the employees' side with what is likely a high-stress situation and new developments.

I am Brazilian, my English is not the best, but I work hard. I sometimes see the title written in Portuguese, is anyone from this channel Brazilian? This video touched me, congratulations Linus and the whole team that provides this brilliant work. I am very pleased to be able to watch all your videos and to be able to dream of a reality that I cannot have, but see working and killing curiosity with everything I would like to do. The video titles are probably in portuguese because youtube does that automatically. For me they've been showing up in german, since I live in germany (go figure), which really annoyed me.
I don't know if there is a way to only show the original titles, but I clicked my profile icon in the top right and changed language to english. Now german videos still have german titles and english videos have their english titles back. I assume that some non-english titles are translated aswell but so far I haven't noticed anything.

Poor Luke... Mentioning the "corporate-ness" of LTT have made his job less fun. The last thing I would want is for system building and tech to lose its fun. I hope he doesn't burn himself out. All the LTT guys for that matter. This is easily my favorite CZcams channel.
I think this was the most interesting thing, along with edzel talking about how its more corporate. I guess as they grew they are forced to be more structured etc
Looked to me like Luke wished it could go back to how it was, he didn't look particularly happy. Also he hasnt done many projects which he gets super excited about.

That happens to every company. Once the money start to roll in you start needing to do things like get managers and HR etc. The company I work for started out small now that it's gotten fairly big (about 400 employees strong) it's completely corporate and the vibe is not the same and like Luke said it's not that fun anymore.

In the context of what the company does, the guy that made those two mistakes, they were 'major' mistakes and if that sort of level of mistake was made in another company, chances are he would have been fired. So yes, he is very lucky to have a boss such as Linus.

Even though anyone could really copyright strike the channel, there's always a chance the strike works out and Colton ( that employee ) single handedly does something majorly bad to the channel, from getting that video removed which i call Level 3 ( Lvl 1 is getting a warning and Lvl 2 is getting a warning that the video is gonna get removed if you don't appeal in enough time )
and the channel getting deativated like a Level 10, it can go from Level 3 to 10
