I love naughty ‘schoolboy’ Sidney.
I love that the characters aren’t perfect and are all broken in some form.
Just like us all, and what makes Grantchester so believable.
They’re so good ❤️❤️
No offense but Sidney cannot be replaced. It was his Grandchester starring role and he cannot be forgotten by this "substitute". It will not be as it was with the motorcycle reverend.
I've enjoyed the show with both of them honestly. Sydney and Will are both vulnerable and imperfect men, albeit for different reasons. I think that its good that the show changes vicars every few years; it keeps it fresh

Sydney made this show great, it’s not the same without him.
Una serie tan cuidada no puede dejar al espectador en la estacada con ese giro imperdonable. Eso tiene ir creando capítulos y capítulos sin un guión que se cierre en condiciones. La historia de Sidney y Amanda se rompe caprichosamente. A partir de ahí, dejo la serie, aunque los actores están impecables.
Some have ‘it’, others don’t…..James Norton has it all! It used to be,”Great, Granchester’s on tonight “. Now,I don’t even check if it’s on or not.James Norton’s ‘Sydney’made Granchester a programme to watch,even though the rest of the cast were good…..he provided the ‘umph’!! Pat R.
I have been watching Grantchester from the start on ITV3. I don't know how you can jump from the end of series 4 to the beginning of series 6. Weird.

It’s the second worst actor-quitting-series I’ve ever seen. The first one was Downton Abbey’s death of Matthew Crawley. Who would keep watching after that?
