I laughed near the beginning of the video when three men, not three blind mice like in the nursery rhyme, were out with brooms etc. It reminded me when my cousin's wife got a broom out in her kitchen to go after a mouse. She caught the edge of her kitchen counter and she chipped her diamond in her wedding ring on her finger. She had to get a new replacement. . . . Also, I was working on a farm for my uncle. He asked me to clean out a granary. The smell of rotting grain is never forgotten. As well, there were mouse nests all around the inside wall of the metal granary. The mice did not have their hair yet. There I was using a broom to "dispatch" them. I still am reminded of it when I saw you chasing that critter and that was back in 1961. Be my guest to do the math. 😊

Okay boys, Ferlin Husky had a country hit years ago. The song was "On the Wings of a Snow White Dove". (It was one of the top 5 country hits of all time.) Of course, I had to look it up, but John baptized Jesus and a white dove represented the Spirit of God. (You can check that in the gospel of Matthew 3:16-17.) At this rate, your 20 minute video might take me the rest of the morning. . . . be gentle. 😊

My 2 year old cousin died of cancer and not too long after we saw a white dove on our walk to the waterfall at our family reunion. My mother called Kayla to the bird and it landed on her arm. My first thought was that bird was your wife coming to check on you.

you will be able to hear by the time you are 60 working around all that noise earplugs, or a headset something would help it is loud for us watching you, it would all so help to put a fan in there or make a panel that opened up to let air in and sound out simple fixes would help you work and your health god bless

First thing that came to mind when I saw the white pigeon with a yellow band that Chet was getting a message.
Seeing the under side of the old bin foundation brought back memories for me when we put our Westeel bins up in 1978/79. Pretty sure we had plastic down before we poured the concrete - all with a cement mixer mounted on the tractor's 3-pont hitch.

That old hauler you got is sure getting used with all the cleanup and getting ready for bin construction. Fun to watch Dougo operate the machine and pick up all that concrete. Old concrete is so hard to deal with. Looking forward to the bin construction. Will be interesting.
Chemicals are so hard on equipment. You all do a great job of cleaning up after the chemical use. Hard to get equipment cleaned up again. Doing great.

Dougo, telcos didn’t abandon their copper for rural telephone systems. The fiber is used as trunking between switching locations and to provide internet to the headend but the distribution of POTS ( Plain Old Telephone) and internet is still distributed to the end user on copper. If they didn’t connect fiber directly into your home you are still on copper.
or maybe they got fiber installed but grandma still has her copper phone connected

The pipe in the center of the cement of the bin was used for setting the forms and probably had the screed board anchored to it for the pour.

I mentioned it in a comment a long time ago, but will say it again. I love the whole crew, you guys have fun, work hard and care about each other. You show us a portion of what it takes to farm, the good and the bad. Chet and Doug have a great father/son relationship, much as my late father and I had. Seeing you two interact brings back many fond memories for me, and I thank you.
