I was about to say this. I got one for my garage to cool it down while I’m welding. If I don’t open the garage a bit, it starts to get hot and feel like a musty swamp in there. It’s amazing for my patio bbq days though
Not much, both evaporate water into the air. Although the swamp cooler seems to put humidity into the air way faster than a humidifier, it was incredible at that. Probably due to having a larger tank and much larger fan than any humidifier I’ve used.

Can you put ice where you put water in ? Just got one
Yes, as I showed in the video it’s best to use ice water. If you meant pure ice I don’t think so, water is the key ingredient.
