I just don't think gaslighting is funny, and it's apparently all she can do, just talk shit to and gaslight Colin. It worked the first time, now it's just irritating. Look at the chemistry between him and Cecily Strong when she's on. She actually acts. It's her character that's poking fun at Colin, often subtly rather than having to explain to us she's doing it. All of the other women on snl are just great. Sarah only has the one bit.

Really like the addition of the backstage tour. Sarah handled that screw-up like a pro. Shows why SNL has a lot of faith in her.
What sets good actors from great actors is their ability to improvise when something goes wrong. Sarah did an amazing job 10/10.

Yeah…… I’m not sure. I’m trying really hard to like her but something doesn’t click with me. Her humor sounds upbeat, but it’s kind of mean spirited and not even in a clever way. It’s just, “Look at this loud, gay, Jewish woman shout about how Colin knows a thing or two about children’s clothing.”
@@Sharpe1502 this is just one type of bit that she does on the show. If you look at her other stuff she is really out there , borderline cringe gross humor, like a nightmare Pee-Wee's playhouse meets Tim & Eric, but there are moments of genius where things click, imho. She is edgy and needs refinement, but that is the beauty of being on the show where she can experiment and find a stride.
Chucky, the Meatball, the Stool sample skits,..I loved those.

These new SNL writers and cast members are just fantastic. The comedy is so weird and hilarious ... SNL has been on a roll for quite a while now.

Not sure why but you can feel a little bit of a Gilda Radner vibe here.. I'm thinking this whole routine would have worked with Radner and Chevy Chase too. Funny, light-hearted yet weird laughs in this.
Agree she has the same mix of provocative and sweet. Also 100% committed to the bit regardless of what happens. I thought I was the only person to see a little Gilda.

Sarah's first andsecond "roasts" of Colin with the "shocking" newspaper headlines were priceless and laugh out loud funny. This bit wasn't too shabby either and her ad lib after the drop made Colin completely break up and then throwing it over to Che with another headline was great. Is Sarah just a wee bit on the weird side? Absolutely but she is hilarious.
She's next in line for Weekend Update for sure.

I like her in sketches, usually when a cast member gets on weekend update that becomes their whole bit and they spend most of the time writing segments for weekend update
@@AbbaZabbaOlyFrn Tina Fey, Jimmy Fallon and Amy Poehler all still did sketches along with WU. I think it just gave Seth a reason to quit something he didn't feel he was right for and Jost and Che are writers first who made the jump specifically for update.
