I do find the coffee sour at La Boulangerie. As for Ms Mae's, when I was in college the bar was in another location on Magazine. One late night I was sitting at the bar next to an older lady with a rather cool updo. We talked and at one point she says, "Honey, do you know who I am?" I said, "no" She said, "I am Ms Mae" When she got up, she looked to the bartender and said, "whenever she comes in, she drinks for free!" Thirty years later I met a man and he said "My grandmother use to own a bar on Magazine" I said "Ms Mae?" And that is how small New Orleans really is.
