Thank you for the video, I was able to change mine for my 2002 tahoe. My only thing we forgot the prybar to pop it out, man that took some work. The video really helped me do it on my own and save me 700 that the shop wanted.

Thank you! Just got the old one out and the front right bolt’s bracket came off too. Doesn’t look like a fresh break. Do I have to replace that whole concrete thing or is there a way to glue(?) it back

Do you have a part number or size of the alternator? I have an 05 tahoe 4.8ltr, trying to change out both pulleys but the auto parts store needs size of alternator, thank you

How does the tensioner work? How much do you tighten it back down?
I agree, it’s very hard to see how the tensioner works and how and where you pry on it to get the belt off or on. It is just silly that you don’t take the air intake out of the way. It is one screw on the band, pull out and move to the side. This can be seen in another video.

Its an automatic tensioner so no you don't

She catches a mean 2nd and top speed has been clocked at 168mph. She's totally bullet proof. Windows and all.
Got the p.o.s replaced with a new one. Now my battery charge is below 14 volts, and the battery-light in the dash is on. Belt is new, alternator is new and the battery is new as well. Fuck.
Alternator is bad most likely even if its new
@@JaboTheMechanic I hope not. Weird thing though. Tried wiggling the wires, retighten them and spray the connections with electrical-spray. Worked like a charm. Felt restless and needed a drive, now the problems are back.
Could it be a bad ground somewhere?

Do not and I repeat do not hit the bracket with a hammer.
What bracket? Because I had to literally beat mine in with a hammer. It's making a clicking noise but she's running smoothly everywhere else..
@Thirteenth letter where the bolts go through because I have seen people break them even using a rubber hammer.
