Andrei, if you don't have any barbecue marinade you can just make your own. Combine lots of lemon juice, soy sauce, chili pepper , powdered black pepper, one whole minced garlic . You can marinade even overnight the meat/chicken or whatever your choice. It will still taste delicious. The lemon will tenderize the meat. Baste the meat with marinade while you are grilling to prevent the meat from drying and makes it more delicious. You can make a marinade for basting on the day when you will grill. Just enough. The minced ginger will make the barbecue delicious. We usually eat the barbecue with spicy vinegar sauce and rice. Try to see the recipe for spicy vinegar in YT. Use a silicone brush for basting. Maybe someone sent your mama Olga this gift when you were in the Phils. Not too sure.
Mix catsup & soy sauce for quick & delicious mix to brush over the meat when almost done grilling
Don't forget the sugar and oyster sauce

You can make your DIY barbecue marinate. You only need lemon, sugar, black pepper, soy sauce and 7-up or sprite ,tomato sauce and soak the meat pork or chicken overnight in the meat cuttings you like for barbecue. It can also be used for chicken inasal. Brush the remaining marinated liquid to the meat while grilling.

You can make homemade Filipino BBQ sauce good for 1-2 kilo meat
Soy sauce 1 cup
Ketchup 1 cup
Lemon/vinegar 1/4 cup
Pepper as you like
Sugar 1/4 cup
Chicken cubes/pork cubes bullion
Add 1 tbsp salt if you soy sauce is not salty like kikkomansoysauce
Or if you use tomato ketchup
Better tasting if you put
Blended spices like
Onion
Garlic
Add lemongrass and a little ginger if you want the inasal flavors

Aside from rice, a good side dish to go with that BBQ is Philippine macaroni salad: boiled macaroni noodles, pineapple bits (you can get it canned if you don't have fresh, or use peaches), raisins, shredded boiled chicken meat, cheese and apple bits, all covered in mayonnaise.
