He made an almost prime nadal looked helpless on clay, beaten federer 3 times out of 3 times on hard court. Had gruelsome battles with murray, ferrer, tsonga, berdych etc. And still managed to win 3 slams out of 4 and had 66-2 winning record after the us open. The highest peak in tennis was witnessed during this period. Even though Nadal was at his peak, he couldn't beat Djokovic in 2011. Some fans of Fedal speculated that Djokovic might be using performance-enhancing drugs to achieve such significant improvement. Such speculation underscores the incredible level at which he was playing.
In that particular year, 14 out of the 16 Grand Slam semifinal spots were occupied by the 'Big Four'. This indicates that it was not only the peak year for the 'Big Four' but unarguably the peak year in the entire history of tennis.
Throughout that year, Novak Djokovic emerged as the most dominant and outstanding player. That's why he is the GOAT.

      Absolutely not
2011 is still the best season for Novak, prior to 2011 many didn't even consider Novak at the same breadth as Rafa and Roger and Rafa was at his absolute peak coming into 2011 season , even Roger was playing his best Tennis and an upcoming talent in Murray had arrived at the same time, beating all of them is no mean feat , especially demolishing Rafa in all of the finals was incredible. I guess he would've beaten Rafa in RG , 2011 too had he made it to finals(But Roger went into destructive mode and defeated Novak in Semis)
But coming to 2015-16 season, Novak was already regarded at the same level as Rafa and Roger and both were not in their best forms , so 2015-16 season wasn't that great as 2011 one.
2015-16 Novak played incredible tennis, but 2011 version played some ruthless tennis
