@@Olly_2024_ i didn't say the opposite, but here in 2016 he was a much better imo reaching the finals and having good matches along the way so yeah maybe if nadal was more confident it would defenitly reflect on the score but still novak of 15-16 was in a league of his own

I'd say Djoko's performance against Federer at AO semifinals 2016 was the highest level of tennis I've ever seen him play, the first two sets were just sublime; Wimbledon final in 2014 was also great;
Doha win was special, but I'd say Miami final 2011 was equally brilliant, one the most riveting matches I have ever seen, their semifinal in 2018 was not bad either

His 2011 Rome SF might be his toughest clay court win ever. Murray had him dead to rights numerous times in the final set.
and the amazing thing was that he won the week before at Madrid beating Rafa & then after that epic vs Andy he beat Rafa again in the Rome final. Comparable with beating Andy and Rafa back to back both in 5 sets at Australian Open in 2012.
Djokovic straight up changed the way players had to play the game - the evolution of the sport from 2010 - 2016 is mind-blowing

My friend's friend's mom in Belgrade is actually a world known physio something something, and my friend actually met Novak in Belgrade when he came to get treated, said that the tear is down to like a few milimeters - and that was a week or two ago. I was hoping to see the Shanghai finals in 2013 versus Del Potro in this list. That third set alone was greater than any set I have seen in ATP tournaments.

Almost bagelled Nadal on clay in that monte carlo final 2013....some unforced errors and he couldn't do it..... Also that hamburg match 2008 where Djoko was 3-0 up and then somehow unforced errors allowed Rafa in the match...... Winning 8 consecutive games vs Rafa at RG final 2012 ....pushing Rafa to 5 sets at 2013 RG semi-final..... Thatz enough to prove that he is the second best player after Rafa on clay.... Peak Novak is just slightly < Rafas any version on clay
