About The Game:
Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is a turn-based tactical role-playing video game developed and published by Ubisoft for the Nintendo Switch. The game is a crossover of Nintendo's Mario and Ubisoft's Raving Rabbids franchises, and features both single and cooperative gameplay. The game's story sees players controlling Mario, his friends and a group of Rabbids dressed as them, dealing with the aftermath of a sudden invasion by a group of Rabbids, who have accidentally misused a powerful invention that has brought chaos to the Mushroom Kingdom.

I’ll have friends hear me playing this and they’ll ask what I’m playing and I tell them it’s Mario and Rabbids and 99% of the time they scoff at it mainly because it features the Rabbids. I love this game. Also it has a pretty damn good sense of humor. The Rabbids does not completely bother me unlike the minions do. I always recommend and defend it in comparison to other typical Mario titles.
I beat the main story line the other day and now playing the Donkey Kong dlc. So far out of every Switch game I own, this is the freshest, best I’ve played so far. I know it’s not perfect but damn is it fun and unique. I really hope a second game comes out either in the Mario universe or maybe in a Legend of Zelda universe or something.
I love it for taking multiple IP’s and mashing them in a genre they haven’t been in yet.

I remember on my first playthrough, I would mostly stick with Mario Luigi and rabbid peach. On my second one, I realized just how good rabbid Mario and rabbid Luigi were and I used them a lot. All characters are good in this game.
It's amazing how well the rabbids just fit, it's weird honestly and I Love it
This game is one of those cases where you look at it for the first time and say
"Just why? What were they thinking? This game is complete shit"
But then you play it and say "holy shit this is kinda fun"

I think the thought process for almost every fan of this game was:
1.Wow,mario and rabbits? That sounds like shit!
2. (After some trailers) hey,it looks kind of fun,I love this jumping mechanic ,this will maybe be a decent game
3.(after whatching a lp or playing it) wow,this is way more in depth than I thought... and it's awesome!
But yeah,the rabbits apart from this game are complete shit... I mean rabbits invasion was kind of alright, but only when it wasn't stupid and annoying which it was most of the time. I kind of like the minions though, but they're everywhere so it also becomes fucking tiring
Eatinggamer 39 Funny thing is there is a huge lack of the things that make the Rabbids anyoing and actually have humor for more than just 5 year olds seriously that stupid DAHHHHHHH sound is only used twice in the game and the second is an optional special of Rabbid Yoshi's so I highly recommend it as these aren't the same Rabbids we've hated for years now

This game has been great for picking up and playing a round while slow at work, and putting up.
Honestly surprised by how good it is
This video convinced me to pick up Mario + Rabbids as one of my starting titles when I finally got myself a Nintendo Switch last week. I spent my first weekend addicted to Breath of the Wild, of course; but when I finally dug into THIS game today, I found it a quite enjoyable experience well worth the purchase price. So thanks for the information and the recommendation, Jirard!
Back when I was a kid,
If you wanted to play some turn based combat on a console you had to play Worms.
I look at this as a modern day spin on that genre.
I actually like the concept of a mix of franchises.
The choice in characters might not be what everybody Wanted, but it opens the door for soooo much.
If Lemmings was still a thing, I bet Pikmin would be a fitting crossover.
The possibilities are endless, and thats what's important.

I just got this over the holidays and finally played it. I was like "this is niiice, I'm gonna 100% it." Glad I checked the Completionist's recommendation half way through. I will indeed *finish it* and play back through another time with some different characters.
I don't care how many people call this Mario + Rabbids, or Mario X Rabbids, or even Kingdom Battle, to me it will always be Mario XCOM.

The only reason I can't call it "Mario XCOM", is because I can't get XCOM'd in it with high-accuracy-percentages being given, only to have MISSES. It's... It's almost what defines XCOM for me... or at least the one thing I'll see in my darkest of nightmares...

I beat literally every single main stage with luigi and rabbid peach.
i've never played anything rayman or rabbids related. i know ppl generally dont like the rabbids, this game was my first full exposure to them and honestly i found them hilarious
all the gags and cutscenes were great and the dialog for beep-0 and bowser jr was just tops
I'm a huge Xcom fan and this was a lot of fun to play! Similiar gameplay with mario and rabbits mechanics and a lot of humor thrown in :)

Getting to meet Davide Soliani and Grant Kirkhope on the release date was surreal. Davide is a cinnamon roll, too pure for this world, and Grant was like a skinny Santa Claus, just a jolly happy dude.
I love how this game makes the rabbids both funny and lovable just like when they were first introduced. Rayman raving rabbids made them lovable little rabbit things that wants to rule the glade of dreams but are insanely way over their heads. Raving rabbids 2 showed them getting serious but still goofy enough to let them keep their nonsensical nature which made them more humorous. Then TV party actually made them more humorous cause it's ubisoft poking fun on how annoying they've become by making each cut scenes about Rayman slowly loosing his mind as he simply tries to do simple life tasks. After that was....just bad...but this game made me love them again, though it would be kinda funny if Rayman was in the game and shows his phobia of the rabbids after TV party but slowly get past that phobia.

I watched the video 2 weeks ago and I was convinced and bought the game. Now I'm playing through the game and currently in World 3 and loving it. I am watching this video again to get some tips from the completionist ;) What a great game.

From what I've seen the playable Rabbids seem to be their normal selves at their worst. Rabbid Peach is narcissistic, Rabbid Luigi and Rabbid Mario are self-centered egotists, and Rabbid Yoshi is the true IQ of a dinosaur: 0.

Rabbid Luigi maintains Luigis cowardice but helpful nature while keeping the rabbids chaotic nature. He doesn't really have an ego like Rabbid Mario
This game really was incredible. I genuinely thought I'd hate the Rabbids but came out actually liking them a lot more than I initially did. The strategy really makes your think, especially in the later levels and the level design is honestly brilliant. 10/10 from me, man. The Switch is on a freaking roll!

So going on how there's exploration and puzzle-solving in-between the XCOM-y combat segments, it sounds a lot like the HBS Shadowrun games.
