I have the revive, best post ive ever used
@@LoveMTB go for it!! you know what they say, you can never have too many bikes
Another good review, I’ve been looking at dropper posts and was set on buying a one up but there’s more to consider.
I have a Revive 2.0 and absolutely love this dropper. Set and forget with a bit of service love every 100h. Plus, very nice and helpful service contact.
@@LoveMTB serviced mine today after a hard summer of riding. Job was done in about 30 min.
Got the Revive on the new rig and absolutely love it, probably more than a Transfer or a OneUp. Great content as always
Thank you for the great review👍😃
I've got a super fancy schmancy Fox Transfer (200mm) on my SB150 and a much cheaper OneUp (180mm) on my Nukeproof Scout and, honestly, I may prefer the OneUp! I doesn't feel as smooth when compressing it, but it's super fast to return to pedal height (which is adjustable via air pressure), has a nice audible "thud", and has been super reliable, though it's only a few months old. It just doesn't have the bling of Kashima, but I've been quite impressed with it thus far! And the Fox seems more picky about maintenance and may not return to top height after a few weeks of riding in dusty conditions until it's thoroughly cleaned and lubed.
PNW cascade on my fatbike and it's been fantastic so far. Also the stock Race Face Aeffect R Dropper and it's been very solid so far.
I have the PNW Rainier 200 mm, no problems at all love having that much clearance.
I first had a Reverb, was very disappointed. After 2 rebuilds I quit. No more Rox Shock and purchased the Transfer. Success!!! I have had the Fox Transfer for several years, it's been solid. If I get another bike I will stick with what's working for me.
Would love to try the bike yoke but my PNW has been so good for the price I have no need to replace it yet and PNW customer service has been fantastic so far.
Fantastic dropper post .. Bike Yokes rocks .. that reset works !! 😁
I have a OC2 dropper. I does what it supposed to do. Easy to service. Heavy? Propably.
PS! You`re using my favorite tyre combo: Rekon front and Rekon Race rear!
Thanks for an amazing video. Did you tighten the dropper post up to what was mentioned on the seatpost clamp? How many nm did you tighten? My brand new divine sl does not work if I tighten to 5 nm ( Seatpost clamp says 5 nm ). Thanks in advance for your help.
Bike yoke droppers are the best, awesome quality and super easy service at home! Mine is Divine 125, 2 season hard riding in all conditions, first service after 10k and oil was good. very little dirt inside. And auto reset function is great!
best post I've used.
Looks very nice. I've got a 150mm brand x ascend that's been working great on my bike. Probably going one up or pnw next, mostly due to price. Seems all the reviews for the bike yoke droppers are really good.
@@LoveMTB ahh interesting. I'd probably go pnw just due to that lifetime warranty. Seems like so many people recommend one up though. In your opinion, does pnw just feel better?
awesome dropper post..i like it.
If I’m not mistaken, PNW droppers are just rebranded Trans-X. No problem because they are top quality. The Revive 2.0 is probably the best dropper on the market.
I am going to give it spin... what saddle are you using? Thxs for sharing
Bought one in 150 and had some issues. First one was notchy in the travel, seemed to hang up a couple times. Received a replacement and that one had a hang up at the top when trying to lower the post. You had to shift your weight forward and down to get it to move. I think with a steeper seat post angle there would be no issue, but for me it was too much money for it not to work perfect out of the box. Returned and went pnw. Works great and lifetime warranty.
@@LoveMTB its was the divine model. 👍
I want to install a dropper post on my kingdom vendetta x3 it’s a titanium hardtail this would be the first time I’ve installed have you got a video or a link on how to fit a dropper post and how to measure the housing and how much you have to cut off
Here the Divine is just slightly more expensive than the Oneup dropper, which costs just about the same as on your side of the pond, and what I recently realised is this is essentially a pneumatic suspension seatpost with adjustable top out spot, just like office chairs 😅 which means the pressure you put in not only adjusts the return speed, but also the force needed to push the post down, a side benefit to this design (apart from the simplicity) is that you can hang your bike by the saddle all day long with the dropper lowered without any risk of sucking air in, a disadvantage I guess being that very heavy riders could feel it "sagging" when just riding around (math suggests @300 psi ~100KG to push the post down)
Thanks for the review! I'm curious why lots of brands offer it as a default dropper post. As an aftermarket product, it has to many strong competitors. Here in Germany, I can buy Fox Transfer with Kashima + remote for almost the same money!
where I live the fox transfer kashima is a full 120 dollars more than the revive
300 dollars vs 420
@@LoveMTB im not even joking, got a transfer kashima last year for 380 dollars(now the peice is 420) the price is because I wanted full kashima on a build and recently I got a revive for a new build for 300 which is what they sell it for here, the distributor sells the revive way below srp and how he gets a profit from that I haven't quite figured out.... Still love my bikeyoke a lot more than the transfer
@@LoveMTB youtube keeps removing my comment because it contains the link to their store 😅
Been watching your video on BikeYoke DIVINE what’s it like I’m thinking of getting one of these I’ve got a Thomson elite seatpost it’s not a dropper post.
I got 3 Oneups, they work great, but they are not water friendly. Easy to maintain too.
@@LoveMTB after a few rides under the rain or washing the bikes, they start getting sticky, so I have to open and clean them.
What’s the torque setting for the bolts for the saddle.
What bike stand are you using in this video?
If I have trouble with my oneup posts I may try it, but after running 210 drop I don't want to go back
Once i had a seat dropped and was talking to a friend, his kid said to me"sir,i think your bike is to small for you"then i pressed the lever and his kid was wwwooooaahhhh!!!
I still have the box as a decoration! Divine SL has one with gold accents
@@LoveMTB No it's not recent, XC 80mm divine sl
Cheers 🥂🔥
It's sad to few options available for external cable routing. I love my old Jamis carbon frame but want to try dropper at some time.
Ks lev or if you can find one the external thomsons are best of breed and rebuildable
Had the revive, loved it but sold it for a longer travel divine, love it aswell. Ridden both for > 2 years without maintenance and no issues at all. Would buy again if i ever even need to.
I'd say the revive was a bit smoother & I notice ab little bit of rotational play with the divine that I don't think the revive had. but that was still the 1.0 not sure how much the 2.0 changed.
I’m thinking of buying a used ks lev e20 external routed dropper. I’m wondering if it can be serviced in the long run or is it like a disposable one?
@@LoveMTB thanks man. Do you recommend it for beginners like me? Im just trying to do some trails by next year
Oneup 150...Longest I could fit in a SM Giant Trance....Works great once you get the seatpost clamp dialled....otherwise rather temperamental....V2 actuator far superior to the V1 (POS)
Giant Contact that I switched to another bike works flawlessly..(only 100mm tho)
@@LoveMTB Cheers mate....Will definitely look elsewhere if/when this oneup packs a sad....Guess I've got lucky with the Contact so far...PS,thanks for the awesome content!
Have the new revive 2.0.. compared to my one up. The Bikeyolk is so much smoother.
Yeah that's the main difference between the cartridge based/ cheap ones to the likes of BikeYoke
I just bought a dropper and spent 90 EUR for the dropper and trigger, made in Taiwan, it works excellent... I can see that some of you are spending 250 USD for this ancient "office lift chair" technology which is also made in Taiwan and has same old school wired trigger. Man, I would never spend that much... But hey, this is life, right? If you want to spend that much, you can...
Bikeyoke revive is the most superior dropper post in the market. Tried transfer, reverb, ks, sdg and pnw. This is by far the best price ive paid for a dropper
For me it is up there with FOX!
@@LoveMTB if fox had a revive function, it would have been better. But dont get me wrong, fox is a great dropper, one of the best.
@@iamjegzola They can't, they use IFP, and it's pressurized, and even machining it with tight tolerance, those seals will eventually ingest air in little by little thus making that sagging Issue plaguing the dropper post market. bike yokes more straightforward and simple design is better. German Engineers are witty and intelligent.
@@KaizersPOV that's what i said. bikeyokes are better than any other post.
@@iamjegzola what is so great about fox? I never understand why people wanted them. I had one, and compared to my revive it was bulky and had a much higher stack height. I did ride my devine for 7000miles now with only one full service and another in a few days by my self.
I didnt look into fox to maintain it but I guess that is painfull or not even possible to get all parts you need.
Too bad it's 185mm only. my bike can take 200mm at least. It's a good dropper, but I think I sohuld upgrade. I have it in 185mm too. I wish it came in 200ish version, and had external travel adjustment. The dropper worked well even in -10c.
I wish BikeYoke would make 27.2 droppers. They seem like a nice company.
Definitely sucks trying to find a 27.2 dropper. Not many options and all capped at 120/100mm travel.
@@dylan-5287 there are a few options with 125mm travel but that's it.
I'm sure innovative companies like OneUp or BikeYoke could come up with a great 27.2 dropper if they tried.
And what's especially frustrating for me:
I would love to get a PNW Rainier (which comes in 27.2x125mm) but it's not available where I live (except with high import duties).
5:14 I just installed it wit the end at the dropper, but BikeYoke does not recommend that. I tried it the right way but came loose in few mins after i took it out in zero temps, despite having cured Loctite 243. So I went back home and installed it the wrong way. I wanted to test it the ''right way'' first. I was not surprised, I purposely tested it before I went for a long ride.
Interesting thanks for sharing 🤘
@@LoveMTB Have you experienced this issue?
@@mtbboy1993 No issues whatsoever with mine till April when it got stolen with the ARC...
@@LoveMTB Did you ride it in sub zero temps?
@@mtbboy1993 couple of times only, ok maybe 5 times slightly above/under zero is usually when we go out
This dropper requires a lever with 10mm of travel. The MT500 and MT800 only has 7mm of travel. Is there a mod to lengthen it to 10mm?
Doesnt make sense both would operate differently but you're right. Probably can sand off 3mm of material to increase travel
Good video. Can you give us a feedback after 7 month. Is it better than Oneup ? It is almost twice the price. Thanks
@@LoveMTB if you have to buy a new dropper for 120/125 would you buy bikeyoke Divine sl, or Oneup or PNW ? If the money is not a problem? Thanks
@@LoveMTB thanks. Is very important your opinion because you have all the 3 brands.
Your professional opinion. Dropper for XC racing. Divine SL or Fall Line R?
@@LoveMTB new year. New bike. Going to try a few new things. Dropper. Tire inserts. Hidden motor 😅
@@LoveMTB yeah, I don't mind at all. I think its right up your alley and would make a cool series. from what I saw there's a gap in quality information on CZcams for some of these products.
I’ll stick with my PNW loams. Lifetime warranty is a big plus
Yup we use the PNW droppers on two bikes
But what is better? A divine or a revive dropper post?
@@LoveMTB oke thanks for the answer!
You're spending the CZcams money's well
I don't know why they did not do a 200mm version.
Thought they have it now?
@@LoveMTB I checked the product page, and it was not listed, 185mm is the longest. DIVINE 125, DIVINE 160, 185.
I want to buy a bike but there's a only 1 problem
Money 💰
Sorry revive that’s the I want to get
huge amount of money for something that doesnt offer anything unique other than "self reset" which ive never had a dropper post in the past 5 years even have this problem. massive insertion depths and terminating a cable at the dropper end is absolutely rubbish to be honest. while the oneup might not feel as "refined" i can get all the small parts to service it easily, the insertion depths are low meaning i can run a 210 post in nearly all my bikes, its miles cheaper, the cable terminates at the lever (because if you slip a cable in a ride, like ive done before its so much easier than pullng your seatpost out) i wouldnt see any need to spend all that extra money. PNW posts are good also, had great luck with those in the past :)
strange questions.. Anyone acrocc our planet knows - BikeYoke's dropppers are the best in the Universe!!!
PNW- supersimple to service? Seriously? You realise that lubing upper stanchion under collar is not SERVICE. It has CARTRIDGE, it's NOT SERVICEABLE! It's just an office chair. When Revive droppers - are FULLY SERVICEABLE!
Zisus Kris, seriously..
Well, you left out the most important part of the installation! Routing the cable housing this is why thumbs down 👎
As always: Germans make the best products in the world!
Well, that's just plain false.
