- The BEST remote? BikeYoke makes amazing products and #BikeYoke #Triggy Alpha #remote could be the best today? Innovative design, next to the Shimano XTR MT800 / Deore MT500 that I reviewed recently. This is an universal dropper remote, working with any dropper that has the cable terminated at the remote, barrel at the dropper.

A detail like the angle adjust for the lever is a very welcomed feature in my eyes. I'd rather have it, because having a lever you feel you need to push very far to actuate can be an annoyance. This is a simple fix for that.
The Funn UpDown dropper post remote has the same kind of angle adjustment and can be mounted left or right, under or above the handlebar, and is available in a variety of colors, even purple. It will also work with posts with cable stops at the post or lever end.
If my Shimano remote wears out, or gets damaged, I’ll definitely try the bikeyoke remote. No reason to swap it otherwise…
Thanks for the infinite product information and tests, solves a lot of questions, before I go make a personal investment 👍🤘
Thank you for the Video, I have been considering purchasing a yoke post and this give me the info I need on their remotes.
Sweet!❤️thanks a lot for the review
I have the Bike Yoke Rivive dropper post. But got the Wolf’stooth remote. I didn’t appreciate having to buy a separate cable for the remote.
I've been using a Funn UpDown dropper post remote. What got me using the Funn remote was because I wanted a remote in the color orange, they come in other colors as well.
Funn has a nice lever as well. Since I have the amazing ability to snap the barrel adjuster, it’s the only one that still works even with the barrel adjuster broken
I use their Squeezy and Shifty. I really like their stuff and if I were going to run a cable dropper, it would be theirs.
I use the BikeYoke mount to upgrade my rear shock from Specialized square mount to standard eyelet, beautifully made equipment.
I use a BIKEYOKE REVIVE 2.0 on my Nicolai G1. Highly recommend this dropper. Very high quality and super easy servicable as well. A set and forget product.
Thanks for sharing this
I’m a fan of the one up dropper remote. But that bike yoke seems very well thought out.
Great video as always! FYI - the Shimano one is horrendous with any droppers that requires a high level of cable pull (e.g. OneUp). MT500 came with my bike and by far the worst lever I've paired with my OneUp. Lever feels incredibly stiff and requires a long pull at the same time. Switched to the Wolf Tooth Light Action or the OneUp v3 Lever (or this Alpha lever would work) - anything with a longer lever.
Bike Yoke were the only ones I could get adaptors to fit my SRAM NX shifter & dropper on my new SAINT brakes, they worked like a charm so I'd recommend them!
Yes I confirm, very good adapters. My 5 years old (at least) Saint are ISpec-B and bikeyoke were the only ones to make a sram adapter.
Nothing but bike yoke dropper and remotes for me. I’ve been running 2 revives for 5 years with zero issues and silky smooth operation. Smooth and fast return with a nice pop at the top!
The best, been using bike yolk triggy alpha for decent amount of time in every dropper post that i had and what i’m using currently👍
Cool design! I like it!
Hey, question: so scott twinloc 2 looks very nice, but I wonder if you came across something that does the same. so below handlebars, two step lockout and then dropper.
nice review
Good review. How’s the performance after install? Looks good but I prefer less logo and branding on the product.
I previously owned this remote, before the Shimano one, to me the biggest advantage of the Japanese one is the return spring, it gives a smooth and quality feeling to the actuation. No spring in the BikeYoke.
I use Reverb which came as the default dropper post with my bike and it works perfectly for me. Did really inḿage this thing can work badly for somebody. Are there really problems that require bigger leverage or anything else? Does it mean the actuator is that tight? Or what exactly people should look at when they search for remote control for a new dropper post?
Thanks for the review. As usual perfect covering of all details.
Reverb is hydraulic, hence must use its own lever. These bikeyoke and shimano ones are cable actuated droppers, not for Sram
with regards to usability and adjustability, I think that X-Fusion's remote is the best.
With bike yoke revive 2.0 160mm i should go with short or long remote?
The only thing about MTB that makes me mad is the absurd price of stuff.. 65€ for a remote???
That should be less than half the price to be a fair price!
The Shimano mt500 is 15€, it works really well and has a nice shape, all you need. Only minus being no matchmaker option, but I'm sure there are some adapters for that.
40+€ for a lever is ridiculous and totally unnecessary, a high end option, sure, but they all cost that much...
Hello love mtb I just want to ask, can I mixed deore(m6100) RD WITH SRAM SX 12 speed .
Nice review, thanks! Why 9mm cable pull is better than 7mm?
@@LoveMTB thank you for the answer, im kinda new at mtb'ing. How do I know the minimum pull of my dropper? I own a Brand-X Ascend.
Would you buy wolftooth or triggy if you didnt already have a remote?
Awesome product and design. But the logo and name sound goofy. It was deal breaker for me. So I went with OneUp. Love their logo and placement of it.
You can't beat the rubber pad and Machining on the pnw loam remote. It just feels like it's on another level of quality compared to anything else on the market
I went with a WolfTooth lever for my latest build and it’s absolutely incredible. But I still miss my Loam lever on my last rig (that I’ve since sold) and am seriously thinking about switching back. That rubber pad feels so good.
@@joelankeny6277 I had one on a bike which I sold 2 weeks' ago. It's a great regret of my life that I was generous-spirited and left it on...
😛 ¡Saludos!. ¡Excelente video!.
You know it's a good product when you use it without thinking and it works every time. That's what I get from my Wolftooth. But if I needed to get a replace I would certainly try the Bike Yoke. But why spend the money and fix something that is not broken
Hoping to have a bike soon sir. ❤️

it is :)
I like your videos but please lose the distracting background music. It adds nothing and competes with your dialogue
Which is better, Triggy or Triggy Alpha? Also can the BY remotes work on OneUp dropper posts?
Definitey, you can use with oneUp. And I would go Triggy Alpha.
Thanks. Short or Long would you recommend?
there are 2 bike yoke remote, but if you watch them carefully one is with hidden cable and the other not. My personal taste goes for the hidden one.
Hello, so the SRAM Lever Clamp are compatible with this BikeYoke trigger? Do you have the link?
Yes and what link? Did you check the description?
@@LoveMTB The SRAM clamp link is not in the description.
It's a small part should be able to find it everywhere@@Rasecsaisem
Bike Yoke looks nice
And it works well
Why not going for Ztto?
@@LoveMTB
Saw both of them, it's a copy but not a clone. I wonder how much does it worth to pay for the MT500 vs. Ztto.
Mind doing a comparison? :)
I use the Shimano lever and it provides the cleanest look on the handlebars... If you use Shimano equipment, why use different look and instalation for the dropper lever...
Personally the New v2 oneup lever is the best available, one of the only ones on the market with an actual thumb shape. the PNW is easy second, the bikeyoke lacks grip and position
Shimano mt500 is the best on the market, cause it's the only one that has a reasonable price.
@@LoveMTB the oneup? its cheaper than the bikeyuck
Stay clear of this remote! It snapped my cable. I'm not the only one to report this, there's quite a few reports of the lever fraying or snapping the cable. There's a serious design flaw with it, and it could be dangerous.
You should have test it with the dropper before uploading this video and saying its a review.
Kinda pointless without a performance comparison
