Amazing, a coffee in the morning and a new repair video. I don't need more for having a good start in the day. Thank you
Perfect way to start a day
You need some apricot jam aswell.
Lol
Same here. And also 1 video before bed time to chill down and see a guy fixing things and complaining about customers 😀 makes me calm
We're 8000Km away overseas in the Netherlands but see exacly the same struggles and victories in our shop, nice to see that it is the same everywhere. Think you all can't understand Dutch but Kapottespullen means: Broken stuff...
The work you do is no different to what a surgeon does on the operating table. Such precision!
hehe, it´s like a customer brings a body for repair, without any signs of life, and he hopes that Alex doesn´t say "it´s a no-fix" but "better than factory"
I would have said by the look of board, that pin 5 would be not connected and pin 6 would have been new pad.
I was just looking at the same thing. I would be strait to pin 5 if it was for it.
Same here
I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed that. Some of those pins had angle traces and it looked like that one was one of them.
I was thinking the same so let see if it fix at the end
I'm also meaning that Pin 5 - NC and Pin 6 - CLK_EDO
That was so cute that she gave you some nice jam and the big smile on your face. It’s such a nice cherry on top of customer service in repair. I once received a bottle of nice wine for fixing a customers photocopier, and I like to pay it forward with the people that repair my car with doughnuts or cookies, lol. They always enjoy that. It’s a special environment with customers and their techs :)
Looks like the ol CZcams algorithm is finally working. It actually recommended me a channel worth watching.
I'll be binge watching. I love this kind of content!
You're an awesome doctor of fixing electronic stuff. I'm always impressed. 👍
You are a well loved man. You have a capacity for leadership, if you were ever interested in such things. Your attitude and ability for hard work would be a great thing to pass on to others.
Hi my friend and my teacher Mr alex.im Iranian electronic engineer.l know your art in micro soldering is amazing.i never see anybody do this same as Alex and pro Northridge family team. Awesome 👍
I leave my Razer Advanced laptop plugged in nearly all the time, so I disconnected the battery to keep it healthy. While doing this, I noticed how incredibly TINY these components are that Alex is dealing with! Holy hell, you can barely see them with the naked eye. With seeing what he's doing with the microscope view, you can't fully appreciate how intricate and precise he is. Alex, you would've made a great surgeon.
I have also replaced this connector on a iMac. Several of the pads were missing also.
The wire I used to repair them was a bit thinner.
The customer lost the flex cable and at the time a replacement was hard to find.
I ordered the plastic housings and some wires with pre crimped terminals from Digikey.
Then I reverse engineered the connections to find the LVDS pairs and twisted these wires.
It seemed to work perfectly. Probably cheaper than buying a cable.
OK engineer
@@quranmedia691 What are you trying to say?
Wow! That lady bringing you jam... Heartwarming, I got a lump in my throat! There are truly good people in the world. That aside, awesome work Alex.
There are still some nice customers, who valuate the hard tecnical job! Kudos
Thank you so much Alex for fixing the board I really appreciate it you did an awesome job I love your videos and your work
Your hand eye coordination is incredible.
Hi Alex
Another great video. I have wanted to comment earlier but I have had no time.
I wanted to say thank you for your great videos, me and my wife have a 4 week old daughter and since day one we have been watching your videos. When she is crying I put your videos on and she relaxes and watches the tv with me. I think she might just be your youngest fan.
Working MAC anything is tough. Def admire your soldering skills - and pride in making things right. Of course Pita bread and jam or hummus is always refreshing for a break.
Awesome vid as always.
Nice clear camera work while soldering. Good lighting and focus.
Thank you for being diligent.
Forgot to comment on a last video series. I was watching the house videos and was super stressed. I was like oh no don't do it, its not the time. On part 2 even more like no please don't do it. And on the 3rd part i was relieved. Congrats on not buying. The market is going to crash soon and you will get the house at 60% price. As of this video. Amazing as always.
Nicely done sir.
Nice work, thanks for sharing your profession.
Good job mate.
Thanks
That is a very fragile connector . Well done Alex ! God bless you !
I have no words big Nice job
Impressive work
wow very good👍👍
i always happy when i watching your videos here in youtube
such soldering precision
Amazing!! you make it looks easy, nice job
👍It is very important to check the welded pins by touching them with a sharp point so as not to leave anything in the air. perfect
Great video as always, but damn I was looking forward to seeing it work!
Youre are hard worker
Nice job.
Glad you said jam and not "jelly" ;)
kardeşim ellerine sağlık, harikasın, kolaylıklar diliyorum senin için
Wow.. amazing job👍👍
good style and work technique of this methodical and perfectionist man like me
@Northridgefix waiting for your next videos sir.
I was kinda waiting for that Alienware laptop you showed us in the last video
I just love to see laptops (gaming) getting fixed.
Nice job 👍
Northridge Fix store now selling Apricot Jam flavored flux?
As always fantastic repair, What a lovely kind gesture the Jam was, Thinking i might buy me some Jam for breakfast now :)
Alex, I haven't seen the usual beauty full art! please take additional coffee.
Good Job 👍🏻
This I called High Level of Professional work.
I would like to give you a name "Mr. Perfectionist" .
Personally I wouldn't have purchased a logic board in that condition, but if I did to me it would be more cost effective to send it to someone as your self.
What a terrific day for your awesome job done.. good work Alex the Great Electric doctor surgeon lol
Lovely customer to bring some good food . 😊
That's a quiet hard job to do with so small pins. Well done
Awesome job bro keep rocking bro 👍👍👍
That's exactly what I need doing on my motherboards.
Eat apricots, not jam. It's junk food. Love your channel.
I'm convinced that you can circumcise a Fly midflight. You have deft touches. 😄
Nice one
I wish you and your family a happy AID ADHA Mubarak. You are the best
Woow good job my frn
Awesome
I will be sure to order my Amtech flux from Northridge Fix as I will get a plunger. All the other places I order Amtech Flux from never gives me a plunger or charges me extra for one.
wow👍👍👌
awsome job as always. What soldering iron are you using and which tip ?
ty
Hey Alex, great repair as always. Just had a question, how many devices or maybe what percentage of devices that come in, need repair by you. Meaning that it is an actual no power because of a blown component and not a software issue.
Awesome ✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻
Is it ever worth reinforcing loose traces with an epoxy or some sort of glue? Brilliant video.
Hi Alex, great work as always! Can I ask what you use to clean the board after finishing the repair? Flux-off with a brush and dry wipes?
Hello sir , I’m never surprised with any new post theirs nothing I haven’t seen you not fix I’m always praying that one day I’ll be like you and I look up to you and if I can’t fix it I refer them to you I know no more CARDS I can do those myself but you and big boss need a reward?
nice Vedio ☮️👍
Nice work as olways
What temperatur do you have on the soldering iron?
Best regards from sweden
Hello! I watch you work through a microscope and I have a question. Does your microscope have autofocus, because the response of the matrix to a blurry image is not visible.
NF might eventually need wide-angle camera lens if clients keep treating him to delicious sweets 🍬 😆.
Oh lucky you, I usually get the jam on the motherboard, if I'm lucky I can assemble me a toast with the bread crumbles lying under the keyboards.
My switch recently had water damage and pin problems reading games it turns on but when you use games that are digital it gives an error and takes you back home it charges and everything but still acts wierd at times and I cant play games
Like a surgeon
People can really not appreciate the scale of this work until they try it. I have, and you sir are a master. If this repair gig doesn't work out, you can always do brain surgery.
Better than factory. 😜
جيد
👍
I wonder how you park your car in that parking area :)
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Not sure if anyone else noticed, or maybe I'm just not too knowledgeable on these things, but weren't those other 2 pins supposed to get solder mask also?
I had experince of chip level Engineer
Hi. I am Subham from Kolkata, India. First of all excellent video and work. Appreciation from my end. 👍.
But just for interest, why you not used hot air gun to fix the connector?
He don't want to risk melting the plastic parts in the connector, I guess..
why not solder mask all pins before setting the jumper?
wouldn't that make the pads more reliable and not flying.?
👍👍
Please upload new video Hussein sir
There is no connection on pin 6 because ... apricot jam
Do you know you look like frenchie 😂 from the boys.....
Hello
How bad they make this on board connection, that is on purpose that you can't fix them...
A tiny bit of pressure and they're gone :/
Any way to test?
Otherwise your work is perfect
Can't wait for crusty customer to contact you how you ruin the broken eBay board...
Awesome 👌
First like first comment amazing work as always well done brother keep it up 👍👍
BETTER THAN FACTORY LOL.....
Really need your comment here.. does repairing electronic stuffs can affect the eyes in a long run? Exposing to bright light.. its been about 5 years that im repairing electronics.. the problem is my eyes keeps itching time to time and its hard to see bright light and focus on tiny components.. i dont see you wearing glasses most of the time.. how do you manage your health😀?
Like all of us you might just be getting older... the eyes naturally loose focus over time. Try and get fitted for a pair of glasses, even if they don't need to be very strong it makes a big difference for precision work requiring concentration.
I see she's wearing a Broncos shirt.
Came in for lvds connector replacement.

I wonder how much he paid for it on ebay.
the most stressful video i have watched in ur channel
Why most sressfull❓
Solid/salad I'm hungry
i wanna ask a question, i have broken monitor HP LE1852ms and the board is fried. I'm searching the board on e-commerce and that model doesnt exist, but i find a similar board type and serial number from different monitor (HP LE 1902x), it has exact same ic, layout, and ports. is it going to work if i put 1902x mainboard into 1852ms?
