    Dont know if ur still answering questions but have you ever had any problems with the clutch cable being to short? If you have, how did you solve it? I have a 1999 ER-5

      Assuming it’s the correct cable it may be routed incorrectly, Try disconnecting the cable and re routing it and make sure it’s not getting trapped when you turn the steering.

      Thanks for your comment, I had no idea that this video would get so many views at the time I did it thought maybe it would only interest a few people hence the lack of commentary.
      That’s the strange world of CZcams 🤷‍♂️

    Hello can you tell me what causes this vacuum noise from the tank at 2:35 my bike does this a lot after long rides on hot days

    • @mcycle24
      @mcycle24  Před 3 lety

      Check the tank vent and hose are not restricted, Otherwise just open the fuel filler cap to equalise the air pressure in the tank..

    Hi guys picked myself up an er5 a little while ago but now it wont start the battery seems fine but when i go to start the bike it sounds like it wants to start but ever does and eventually just goes to clicking noise after about 5-10attempts. not a bike expert at all so any help appreciated.

    My bike is pissing coolant atm everytime i have a long ride. i'm thinking it's the Oring issue any ideas how easy these are to replace and do yourself or is it a ballache?

    • @mcycle24
      @mcycle24  Před 2 lety +1

      No, They are easy to replace with some red rubber grease applied to the O rings .

      @@mcycle24 got my problem fixed took off the little bottle on the left of the bike that your holding at 8:41 and retubed the bike. no more overheating and no more pissing coolant. my country doesn't get cold enough to need that mod so i took it off to cause no more issues. only issue i have with my current er5 project now is some electrical issues with my fuel gauge. it stopped working when i only moved my gas tank to the side if the bike while still being attached and with no tension added. i put gas tank back on and the fuel gauge stopped working I've no idea how to fix it or reset my fuel gauge. any advice would be appreciated.

      @@highriser6739 I always remove the tank and put it somewhere safe, Never try and take shortcuts with mechanical work you will just end up making more work for yourself in the long run.

      At the front of rear mudguard over the back wheel.

    Good video, some background music would be nice besides the wind or breathing ;) I need to figure out why my ER-5 is pissing coolant :/

    • @mcycle24
      @mcycle24  Před 5 lety +1

      THE G.
      Probably be the rubber O rings need replacing on metal coolant pipes that feed into top of the engine.

      @Jason's motorbike adventures i see the leak like from the cap sometimes and then from the spark plug drain hole. I once took the bike to service, they said they changed the O rings, but also said they didn't use the OEM ones also not sure how well they inserted them. They then replaced the cap, and now I see new leaks. They did shitty job I must say..
