What a delight! We visited Adlestrop on our Jane Austen tour two years ago. We investigated the church and met a local orange tabby cat who basked in our attentions. What a lovely memory!
Always wonderful to think we spark memories of great times. Thanks for your kind words and all the best to you and yours.
Always a delight to watch you Robin, Widget & Ross’s camera work. Thank You all, I was entranced 👏🌟💖
So glad you enjoyed it. We had a very nice time ourselves. Thanks for watching.
This is amazing, brilliant narrative, visuals and insights, especially the beautiful poem by Edward Thomas.
Thank you for such brilliant work.
How wonderful to see this. My Great Grandmother was born in Adlestrop and my Great Great Grandfather was a gardener at the Manor House.
Beutiful, amazing and more !!!!! 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕 more Adlestrop!!!!
As always, perfect in every way - thank you.
Thanks for your kind words and thanks for watching. Cheers Robin
Thank you for bringing these beautiful places in England to visit. 😊❤
When Life hands you COVID and you can't travel back to England! Thank goodness for You Tube! Interesting Chanel. Cheers from Canada 🇬🇧🇨🇦
Sorry to hear you're stuck, but there are worse places! Glad you enjoyed our film and thanks for watching.
Thank you for this enlightening episode. The use of dramatic Dickensian phraseology when describing the beautiful medieval church painting
(...while others are being dragged into hell where the fearsome figure of Satan, surrounded with his Imps, awaits them...) is well worth a watch of this video.
Charles Dickens would have approved. Well done, as always!
Beautiful scenery paired with beautiful words ... absolutely lovely. Thank you
So glad you enjoyed it. Keep watching.
Thank you for sharing 🐱
You are more than welcome. Thanks for watching.
What makes uk , or Europe more beautiful????
The weather , the weather and only the beautiful weather 😊.....
We have a temperature above 40 C .
Robin, I find it completely, rather, exquisitely interesting the ancient, fascinating history of England and of the entire UK as far as that is concerned. It is so inextricably intertwined with our’s here in the USA. Not that it is a surprise, obviously, because of our colonial past, but more-so because of the names of places and etymology! Real people remembered real places, some so obscure, no one had, or currently has any idea of the origin! So many names of all but forgotten villages, towns and communities re-invented in the USA. Some thriving even today, some who have faced similar fates to their predecessors! I submit, this is very cool!!! Love the show! Please keep them coming!
I have always been fascinated how often, when researching places here, using the borderless internet, searches produce multiple duplications of these ancient Saxon and Roman names in the US and elsewhere. The world is a smaller place than we sometimes realise. I am glad you enjoy watching us. Please do continue.
What a vision of the hands and hearts that create such treasures.
Thank you for posting.
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching.
I so love watching you. Your delivery is so pleasant and soothing. I am captivated by the beauty that you explore. We will be there is September and following in some of your footsteps. Thank you!
Wonderfully descriptive.
Another wonderful gem from you and Ross. I look forward to our trips! Thank you..

You are, of course, extremely welcome. I am so pleased you enjoy our films. Please keep watching.
Yes. I remember Adlestrop-
The name, because one afternoon
Of heat the express-train drew up there
Unwontedly. It was late June.
The steam hissed. Someone cleared his throat.
No one left and no one came
On the bare platform. What I saw
Was Adlestrop-only the name
And willows, willow-herb, and grass,
And meadowsweet, and haycocks dry,
No whit less still and lonely fair
Than the high cloudlets in the sky.
And for that minute a blackbird sang
Close by, and round him, mistier,
Farther and farther, all the birds
Of Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire.
Edward Thomas

It is lovely. Hope you enjoy your visit.
@@robinshuckburgh5561 Thank you Robin I will , and thank you for all of your wonderful vlogs
St Nicholas is indeed a wonder and hopefully no one will pass it by, it being somewhat off the usual track. The Fox in Oddington is the perfect spot to enjoy a meal and think about what you just saw down the lane...
I will check out the Fox next time we are in the area. It's always great to get recommendations. Keep watching!
Yet another delightful video - Thankyou Robin, Ross & Widget.
Thanks for your kind words. Widget in particular is always chuffed when mentioned. Keep watching.
Hello Robin , My name is linda. Ive had the utmost pleasure watching your Cotswold Explorer program . I've never had the pleasure of visiting the region . Is it possible for you to conduct tours of your favorite villages in the region . I would like to be the first on the tour list.
Thank you for your kind words. I fear we are some way from being able to take people round the Cotswolds. We monitor the improvements in our restriction levels with interest. Keep watching.
WONDERFUL LIL WANDER ROBIN , THAT PAINTING FROM THE 1300s WAS AMAZING , TAKE CARE FOLK👌👌
Thanks for your kind words and thanks for watching. You take care too.
Lovely video Robin. We discovered St Nicholas church by accident when walking from Daylseford Farm a couple of months ago. What a wonderful place. Along similar lines, I’d recommend a visit to St Leonard’s in Lower Lemington (just north of Moreton). Similar ancient church in a pretty little hamlet.
Thanks Rob. Your timing is perfect. The rain has driven me inside and I am planning the next few months. I will certainly look at Lower Lemington. Thanks.
You always seem to instinctively quote, reference, or read bits of some of my favorite authors and poets! Setting these words with your video and scenery the words speak of is absolutely a treat! Thank you!
I am glad you enjoyed it. I do love this particular poem. Have you heard Richard Burton reading it? Pure joy.
Amazing hidden gems! Good show. Keep them coming!
Many thanks. We will certainly try. Take care.
Love these videos! I live in the states, but my mother lives in Middleton Cheney. Your videos make me feel like I’m in that area again. The pandemic has been keeping me away.
I am delighted you are enjoying the videos. This dreadful pandemic is disrupting our lives so terribly and it's great if we can make a mini contribution to your moral. I hope you get to return to Middleton Cheney soon. (It's a little outside our patch I am afraid so we won't be giving it the Explorer Treatment.)
@@robinshuckburgh5561 Thank you for your reply! We travel all around that area, and my favorite places to visit while I am with my mother are Broughton Castle and Rollright Stones. I should be returning to England towards the end of October! Thank you again for these videos, all of your efforts, and your lovely voice in your descriptions.
This is where I live in my dreams
What's a weekend...?
I like the Downton Abbey reference! What indeed! Keep watching
