    The gift of gab...wow, this guy has it. He has a degree in it and I don't mean that offensively. Not only can this guy talk your ear off but he is articulate and relatable. I would ever so slightly disagree with a couple things he said but they're inconsequential in the overall message. I starting watching this vid expecting a master of the mat to make a fool of himself but was pleasantly surprised with a solid talk and presentation. Class act

The first time I watched a "Rener" video maybe 4 years ago, I was thinking, man this guy's got a special gift. His detailed, meticulous explanations are a skill in itself. Along with his great sense of humor. Rener has a gift in telling stories. Not everybody can do it.

    This guy inspires me so much. I trained in Filipino MA and JKD, it's been a while, but truly I would do anything to learn from Gracie, he reminds me of my dad. Best teacher and speaker.     2. This was a great way to explain how the principles of gjj apply to business. I used to work for a growing business, and everything you said here was applicable to the things we would discuss to keep the business growing and expanding.
    3. Trading up vs Giving up. LOL yeah, I'm a white belt, and I am still getting used to this principle.

    *What are the best techniques for short people to use?*
    Hi :)
    I have short arms and legs. I've heard that certain techniques are a lot harder for people like me to do. For instance, I find it hard to get my legs around someone to pull off a triangle.
    On the other hand I've heard that peoplw with short arms like myself can lock up neck chokes a lot tighter and easier.
    Any advice would be much appreciated

      I'm 5'4 65kg purple belt, so I'm pretty short. I like any sort of hooks based guard. when I first started a brown belt smaller then me put it as "sweep to submit, submit to sweep."

      yes start as soon as possible! training with bigger stronger main means that your technique will ultimately be extremely sharp, even if you tap out a million times first
