What’s amazing is thinking about how dominant Andre was in his matches in almost his entire ADCC career and just how much Gordon slowed him down and absolutely dominated him. Gordon had a plan for every move Andre could’ve made. Most people will NEVER come close to ever mastering(even experts) any skill the way Gordon has mastered jits
Andre Galvão is 40yrs old in this match, having competed in all elite levels of BJJ since at least 2005. I would say its more of time slowing him down than Gordon.

Gordon is phenomenal. But he is still more 10 yrs younger, and that plays a big factor.
You probably are still a young person and maybe you compete, but I have been training in this sport since I was 10 yrs old, (over 25 years of practice and 15 as a black belt). When you hit a certain age you dont feel, move or recover at the same rate no matter how good your personal chemist is and SPECIALLY after abusing these substances for decades.
20 years from now you will understand.

@dan5626 Andres peak in his career was 2019 vs pena. He was never better technically than he was in 2022 but he was slightly more physical in 2019. He was more physical in 2022 than any match he's ever had besides 2019 adcc. 2022 was the 2nd best Andre we have ever seen. What are you talking about llol
Gordan really is such an epic champion. He honors the tap and he is humble in victory, which is usually by a wide margin. I wish he could figure out that horrible gut dybiosis, I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

There is zero explanation of the points given. I feel that the job of the commentators is to explain the sport for newbies like me that might be watching. There are many technical holds and moves that they mention but do not make an effort to explain them or to talk about them.
