How much of a difference do tires make on a FATBIKE? I'm learning it can be a lot. Found some used Surly Bud an Lou tires and I'm really liking their performance over the Big Fat Larry's the bike came with.
Hey Jeremy, just wanted to say I've been watching since the early sea-can days and while I voted for you to stay on just the one channel on your poll, I'm glad you created this channel as it means we get more Vlog style content! Cheers mate, regards from the UK.
Thank you so much Clay, I really appreciate it. Thank you for your continued support, it really means a lot. Yeah, I just like the freedom to make videos about anything I want and not worry about making folks angry. I hope you have an amazing new year and thank you again. 👍
Oh sweet! Yeah they are so sweet. I was out for a little ride yesterday evening and I was thinking to myself, “this might my favourite bike I’ve ever owned”. They are a blast! 👍 Do you share pictures of your bike on social media anywhere? Cheers 👍
Great minds think alike as far as the valve adapters are concerned. I keep one threaded on the front wheel of each of my bikes that have Presta valves. I'm looking forward to seeing how this whole fatbiking thing pans out for you!
That is a really good idea. I actually never thought of that but I do have several sets of the old biopace rings.....might have to give them a try. Thanks man! 👍
@@jeremygoertz Back in the mid 80's I did up a roached set of Tioga Farmer John's with panhead screws. Washers and nuts on the inside with a cut inner tube as a barrier between the good tube and the screws/nuts. Worked a treat on the ice and packed snow. And the biopace definitely helped. Certainly added weight but pretty fun being one of the few bikes rolling in my neighbourhood. On fat tires, panheads would be awesome.

I can see that pfat bikes makes more sense for sandy conditions.
And how about a fraction of snow on top of that sand.

Happy New Year to you too! 👍
Not a bike for cleats although the landing would be soft ...lol. Happy New Year J !
Hahahaha! Happy New Year to you too!
Cool! For low and slow, in the deeper snow, I wonder if an elliptical front ring, would be the thing, to smooth your pedaling?
