I have like 50 Miis and like 45% of them have messed up faces 30% are famous people or something like that and 25% are people in my family and friends.
I remember as a kid, whenever someone new came to the house, the first course of action was to make them a Mii. Even if we didn't play anything, it was just important to us to keep a living guestbook of Miis.

My wii console broke a few months into quarantine and I can safely say it was the saddest thing to happen in 2020. Haven't played a single wii game since. My life is worse now Update July 2022: MY BIRTHDAY WAS THIS MONTH AND I ASKED FOR A WII CONSOLE AND GOT IT A FEW DAYS AGO! Been having so much fun playing all our old games, including wii sports and sports resort ofc. It's a bit sad to not have all my friends and family's miis, or impressive records we set saved, but I'm stil glad to have it! I even had a friend come over yesterday just to play wii with me like we were kids again. My life is better now. If any of you want to come play some wii with me just let me know! My mom will drop you off if your mom picks you up

The need for restraint when batting (to draw walks and avoid groundouts) and for strategy when pitching (which mii hits which types of balls, when to risk a splitter) means it's still a challenge. I guess we have flipped opinions between baseball and boxing because I never found that fun.

ABSOLUTELY yes to the idea of covering wii resort in the future!! As someone who got a wii slightly later than many people I knew, Wii Sports Resort was much more formative in my experience of the console than the original, and it went....crazy hard. I literally remember enjoying pretty much every sport on the game, with a special praise for Basketball, Swordplay and Island Flyover. It was challenging, the core mechanics were soo solid and I found that it offered much more variety than Wii Sports. I spent the entire Christmas period of 2009/10 just totally immersed in that game; it's genuinely one of my happiest video game memories.
Wii Sports is legit one of my favorite games of all time. The gameplay is simple and tons of fun, the music slaps hard, and it just has so much personality. You guys totally nailed it with this vid, the jokes were hilarious and you captured the magic of Wii Sports. Also I'm glad I'm not the only one who found baseball annoying at higher levels. Wii Sports has been an odd benchmark for aesthetics for me, like I've made a list on Letterboxd called Evil Wii Sports where the locations of the films are really nice and placid and peaceful but the plot is chaotic or terrifying i.e. Midsommar, and I'll watch something or listen to something, or see something and my mind will immediately go "I'm getting strong Wii Sports vibes from this"

I loved that bowling mini game, especially once I found out you can knock down all 91 pins at the end by perfectly rolling your ball down the right bumper, if you make it all the way down it presses a button and all the pins fall.

I’ll never forget how I got my Wii, I designed a surfing cheese doodle with an Afro for a contest by the Wise brand “Cheez Doodles” and I won and my mom found out I won when she checked her emails and she screamed and came to tell me while I was in the shower on a school night. That is a 100% true story and one of (if not the most) memorable memories of my childhood.

I got a Wii on launch day at Toys R Us in NYC. Got there at 2am and Waited on line for 18 hours which is better than most people who waited days/weeks. Those days are long gone now.
As almost everyone else did while we were growing up, the wii was my life and if Nintendo switch sports is a true recreation then I feel like I might have no choice but to get one.

I’ll never forget how I got my Wii, I designed a surfing cheese doodle with an Afro for a contest by the Wise brand “Cheez Doodles” and I won and my mom found out I won when she checked her emails and she screamed and came to tell me while I was in the shower on a school night. That is a 100% true story and one of (if not the most) memorable memories of my childhood.
I worked for a senior service agency ten years ago and helped run a Wii bowling league at a nursing home. The residents LOVED it.
Were they competitive? Lol.

my dad was a president of a company and LITERALLY PAID SOME POOR MAN TO WAIT IN LINE ONE NIGHT SO WE COULD HAVE ONE FROM CHRISTMAS. i was incredibly appreciative and playing the wii with my mom dad and sister are some of my favorite memories from my childhood

While I did spend a lot of time with those two over the years if you were to count total hours played I probably spent the most time with Donkey Kong: Country Returns 😁

These deep dives into video games from my childhood has become one of my favorite things to watch; it feels like getting to sit down with my own brother to talk about the things we took very, very seriously as kids. Love this so much.
I got a Wii on launch day at Toys R Us in NYC. Got there at 2am and Waited on line for 18 hours which is better than most people who waited days/weeks. Those days are long gone now.
As almost everyone else did while we were growing up, the wii was my life and if Nintendo switch sports is a true recreation then I feel like I might have no choice but to get one.
Honestly I loved wii sport resort even better just because of the cycling and wakeboarding. I can still hear the wakeboarding announcer’s voice “Nice Job!” “Way to go!”
