Barry, when you unscrewed the short end of the Spina, I think that may have prevented the amount it can be pressed down on the suction

Good call, I just checked that as it is right by me as I type and it just spins, there's no thread to make it press down more etc unfortunately.

I owned one of those measuring spoons nearly 20 years ago, not same brand as this one, but it worked a charm & was perfect for my son to help me bake cookies. I'd let him help me measure ingredients out using the adjustable measuring spoon. Mine broke after about 10 years of daily use. I've been trying to find a new one. Thx Mr B for this video. Those silicone "heat" bands look like an awesome way to truss poultry...I have trouble trussing with kitchen string.

Toothpaste tub hack... My parents used to use the handle on their toothbrush to push the paste down. Place the tube against a wall and rub the paste towards the spout using the handle, does a pretty good job, a little therapeutic too.

In the US butter comes in sticks with teaspoonsand tablespoons marked on the wrapper. All you need to do is cut the butter at the lines. No measuring needed

I was always so confused by reading US recipes as to how in the hell they measured out a teaspoon or a tablespoon of butter without making a massive mess until I learned this fact. It's a great idea and one I wish our lot would use.

Yay, a gadget I own! I have the "Tube Master" It's lasted 8 years so far and I love it. You use the hole to hook it up on a... hook. The only issue, it gets kinda scaley from the hard water so it needs deep cleaning on occasion if you want your bathroom to look pretty. So it's a little bit scratched up from sponge cleaning.

The tubemaster and the grater I've definitely seen before. We had tubes of veggie pate type stuff (Tartex I think it was called? Seriously retro vegetarian food!) and tube squeezers to get it all out.
Maybe the spinner would work better on a dry draining board?

I love the idea of the grater gadget. The bigger bladed side you can use for potatoes, apples, radishes, carrots, cabbage, pretty much anything firm or semi firm you want to grate. I've got two immune disorders, one causes joint trouble the other causes muscle loss so holding a box grater firm while using it wears me out & hurts my hands.
