      SO MANY REVIEWS on wish say 'Great, arrived early haven't had chance to try it yet' - even in different languages. It could be a bot, but I actually wrote that on a lot of reviews, just because it's amusing. So I think it's just what you write on Wish reviews...

      There are also plenty of real reviews on Wish but most of them are not useful because many people write the review only because they want the points. You get points every time you review the item that you bought or send a photo of that product. So that is why Wish is filled with crappy short reviews like 'The item was OK' and bad quality photos. With the rewarded points you get discount from your next order.

      @@sophiebone9157 I agree with the other answers here. Take good care of yourself and mind your limits. If you can't do something, that's okay. If you'd rather do a thing before something else, that's okay too. You have to be kind to yourself and your body and listen to what it needs. And please, if anyone in your direct surroundings doesn't respect what you need or tries to go over your limits, make it clear that's not gonna happen. Don't let anyone guilt trip you.
      And most of all, ask for help when you need it.
      The illness itself probably won't get better, but remember that there's people you can talk to and that you're responsible for your own happiness. You can definitely make this better, and maybe a bit easier, on yourself. You can do this! :)

    FYI, that's not the correct way to use the negi cutter. You're supposed to run the blades lengthwise and it'll make super long strips. It should work better if you cut the green onion in half lengthwise (once) and use it. If used correctly, it'll cut the green onion into ribbons.

    I think your new catchphrase should be ‘there’s a gadget for that’ 🤣

    • @RictorIAG
      @RictorIAG Před 5 lety +1

      Funny, I think the catchphrase should be "I probably should just have used a knife." Or, "There's a reason real chefs don't use this nonsense." I've seen the majority of these kitchen gadget videos and have yet to find one gadget that I'd add to my kitchen. Instead it just reinforces to me why the tried-and-true gadgets that serious cooks use are the ones to own.
      For instance, in this video we have:
      - The garlic gadgets - Instead just use a knife to crush the garlic so the peel comes off easy then use a standard garlic press to press it so you're not standing there like a twit for 2 minutes trying to force garlic through plastic holes.
      - The sausage guillotine - Use a knife. If you must use a gadget, get a deli slicer so it can be used to slice any meat you want to throw at it. But really, just use a chef's knife.
      - The silicone bottle topper - It's trash. Drink your drink or use a cork.
      - The pan scrubber - Use steel wool
      - The plastic piece that lets you turn a standard faucet into more of a shower - If you're going to do this more than a handful of times, upgrade your faucet. It's not expensive.
      - Green onion slicer - Use a knife. This isn't a men's razor where more blades are better.
      - Oil & Vinegar bottle - It's decorative, so fine. But why not use the bottles the oil & vinegar came in? Or take the cork from this gadget and stick it in your cream soda so you don't have to use the silicone bottle topper. Or use squeeze bottles. Better control that way. Also, this wouldn't work for olive oil because you want to keep that in green glass. But if you're crushing bread with oil and vinegar and want to keep a cheap looking plastic bottle on your counter, I'll allow it. I don't, but maybe somebody does. It's worth noting that it's going to drip. So you'll have to want to clean it every time you use it. Seems dumb to me.
      - Hot dog cutter - Useless gadget but if you had to have coins of hot dog, use a knife.
      - Meatball former - Just use your hands man. Nothing about this gadget makes the process faster or more enjoyable.
      - Doughnut gadget - A pitcher or a bowl and ladle would be fine for this purpose.
      All these kitchen toys just take up room in your kitchen and don't make cooking more fun or enjoyable. But maybe one day Barry will prove me wrong.

    • @deadlymuffinz
      @deadlymuffinz Před 5 lety +6

      I'm guilty of that, mainly because some things you can't really review properly until you've tried them for a longer period of time (things like jewelry and indeed gadgets, they might work once and then never again), but I do want to let everyone know I did receive my item and it isn't a scam. On some websites like Aliexpress there is an option to add in a review underneath your previous one where you can give more detailed information later on as well, which is great. Just so you know, it doesn't have to be fake if people say it looks great but they haven't tried it! And I have low expectations anyway so when it arrives and looks somewhat alright I'm basically happy already :P

    I can see the hot dog cutter for moms with little kids, supposedly you cut it in that shape so the kid doesn't choke, but the best part of eating hot dogs is the ten or twelve smacks to your back when you choke on it. I love the oil and vinegar cruet, the grape shape inside would be cool looking. Oh the Meat Ball makers? I use the same darn thing for bath bombs and I paid a lot more for them them you did!

Just me?! 🤷🏼‍♀️

      My biggest tip is to try and keep your sink as empty as possible at all times by just immediately washing the dishes once you're done with them. This leaves plenty of room in the sink to work with, prevents you from getting the dishes on the bottom dirtier in the process, and just tends to save a lot of time and effort since the food will come off much easier if you wash it off the dish ASAP. Hopefully that helps :)

    8:10 I like the little beer savers things. Mainly because young people can use it to help protect themselves from drugging. Especially when in public situations where there's drinking & loud music. When you can't hear someone you tend to lean in closer than normal to hear them. Adding that drinking lowers or guard and inhibitions, we end up in a vulnerable position that could be taken advantage of. This is typical of house parties, raves, beach parties, etc.. Basically any place you see drinking combined with loud music & youngsters there's someone at risk of being drugged without consent. It all boils down to them drinking from open bottles! This little cap would render that kind of predatory drugging nearly impossible! Good luck trying to slip anything into their drink. You said it was snug fitting too. That's awesome! If only parties handed them out to partygoers to use, i think it would work as a deterrent. Idk, just my first thought when I saw them. It's a shame that i must be constantly vigilant when I'm out once I'm a blue moon. It's actually scary. These little caps could save lives & give peace of mind to anxious folks like myself they've had bad past experiences with this in my youth. So i know first hand how this could've prevented what happened to me. I think it's a great product!!!
