This a little series I have decided to make. I will compile what I believe to be the greatest quotes of animated cartoon characters proceeded by a clip show set to a song I feel embodies the Character, this time being Lex Luthor. If you have any recommendation put them in the comments below. Thank You - Krátké a kreslené filmy
"Do you realize how much power I would have to give up to be President?" The moment when you realize you are outclassed.
Dawg. One of the most badass lines Lex has ever said
Isn't it ironic that Lex Luthor was more dignified and intimidating in a cartoon series for kids, while Jesse Eisenberg's version was more goofy and childish in a live-action movie for adults?
isn't it ironic that adults are more interested in cartoon series for kids
and the kids in the live-action movies for adults?
Too many egos in Hollywood. Takes forever for decisions to be made. Nobody wants to use the cartoons as a reference point. For years, nobody wanted to use the comics as a reference point. Too bad, really.
What about James Wood voicing him?
@@lucaskruuse3439 This was made a few years before James Wood's Justice League Action.
That's what happen when you are voiced by the Fucking Kurgan
Clancy Brown is ever so unappreciated. He will always be the best voice for Luthor, as Mark Hamil is the best voice for The Joker.
+Asa Holmes
Micheal Ironside is more unappreciated.
+civilwarfare101 Who did Ironside play again? Darkseid right? If so, I completely agree
+civilwarfare101 Please get him to voice Darkseid in future DC movies.
Tom Brearley-Smith
After BvS, I hope he doesn't return.
***** Who do you mean? I'm a little confused.
Lex spends 75 million on a fake presidency campaign just to piss off the world strongest man. epic. plain and simple.
shaun blyth Lex Luthor = Ultimate Troll
+shaun blyth Donald Trump is the real life Lex Luthor haha
Edwin J Donald Trump is a shitty businessman though
Bryan Wheelock nah he's really not
Bruce Wayne Nah, he really is. Check out how his publicly traded casino did for investors. They lost money and he ran off with a huge paycheck as an officer of the business.
I love what they did with Lex in the animated series. No more cackling villain. Just Clancy Brown's smooth menacing voice,
Shit he's cool.
Mark Murphy You mean young justice?
Justice league unlimited
Mark Murphy, "A good businessman has to keep tract of his ass-sex", LoL, I just died laughing right then and there . . .
@@ichheieelsenorandorayashi4824 Assets. But I assume you already know that.
Mr krabs as lex Luthor lmao
You forgot his most intelligent quote : Some people can read War and Peace and come away thinking it's a simple adventure story. Others can read the ingredients on a chewing gum wrapper and unlock the secrets of the universe.
Love how Lex is always able to mainatin his reputation as an respectable polititian and businessman, no matter how many times Superman fold or unravel his plans. Hes truly a master manipulator.
Lex Luthor: I COULD HAVE SAVED THE WORLD IF IT WASN'T FOR YOU!
Superman: If it really matter to you Luthor, you could have saved it long ago.
pikppa Yea but the real superman's job is beating doomsday darkseid and mongul.
dylan Graham Superman's job is to protect those who can't protect themselves
pikppa And i don't see luthor having and superpowers or anything power related to stop the 3 big tough guys i just mentioned besides money.
dylan Graham you don't have to have superpowers to hrlp the world
pikppa You don't but what if Darkseid came to earth and there's no one with superpowers.
You left out
"We create our own purpose in life, now go create yours"
+TheKalluto
There were two more that he left out as well from Justice League Unlimited:
1) The one where he demands those that betrayed him to Grundy to prove their loyalty and compliments Killer Frost for killing the other traitors before ordering her to clean up her mess.
2) The other was when he convince Braniac to fuse with him by becoming something more then a human or machine.
I also include when he was fussed with Braniac and was about to kill the Flash but that was a different villian.
One of the best lines was in that little intro with the music. "Sorry it took me so long, I had to go get my power suit. *straightens tie*"
Lex luthor is a badass period. "if you expect to attain me, contact my attorney." Had me rolling when i saw the episode, but they need to make a second season already. It was a great show.
They finished a second season like half a year ago. The ending was kinda dissapointing though.
@@georgesmith6218 the ending was great. Especially with Wally's death. Really pulled on the heart strings
@@jasimabubacker4178 most shows don’t have the guts to kill a main character
Good thing yj isn’t most shows
Wow, Lex Luthor would be scared to take me on, as I could crush his ego like a black hole does to a supergiant star.
That last one is his GREATEST quote. In one line, he manages to not only perfectly explain his motivation for hating Ol' Big Blue, but effectively admits that he holds no illusions about his own morality.
"I! (Of all people) KNOW! EVIL!"
I actually thought that line was crap. Too cheesy/corny, even for a comic book character too pull off.
Don't like when they dumb him down, to talk like a runt. He should act and talk more like Ozymandias from Watchmen, but of course with more feeling, and not sound that apathetic.
Good for you.
He was driven and by the kryptonite and started to rant. What the fuck did you expect?
“Young man if you wish to detain me.... contact my attorney.” Lmao love it...
Daimyo: "Why bother with dealing with an attorney when I can do so by my mere thought? (Lex Luthor gets trapped inside a multi-dimensional force field via a mere thought.) Now, what was the line that you said again? Oh, was it (in a perfect imitation of Lex Luthor's voice), 'Young man, if you wish to detain me...contact my attorney'? I do think that I already did so and, look, you have no attorney, or signals on any of your forms of communication to get one. Yes, your threats are as hollow as your attempts at morality and your falsely purported intellect, you amoral, sociopathic, egotistical, and elitist simpleton. (The force field literally rips apart Lex Luthor upon all planes of existence, thus making him no longer exist in any way, shape, form, or function.) You should never threaten a servant of YAHWEH EL ELOHIM, the Most High God".
Lex Luthor: Sorry it took me so long, I had to go get my power suit.
+TheJaslaf "You dare challenge me with *Vanity*!?"
@@vguyver2 Insanity, not with vanity
Did you know that Lex Luthor's voice actor is Clancy Brown AKA. The voice of Mr. Krabs
and taskmaster's in the spiderman series
Hes also the Kurgen in Highlander and plays in a bunch of other stuff acting and voice acting.
And Dr Neo Cortex in Crash Bandicoot 2, 3, Crash Team Racing and Wrath of Cortex.
And Hades in God of War 3 if I am not wrong
Damn you I was about to comment that
Lex Luthor is right up there with the Joker as the greatest comic book villain ever.
I think he's FAAAR better than the Joker honestly. Joker is just entertaining, but in terms of depth, he really doesn't have that much going for him imo. If you take Joker away fro. Batman, he has nothing on his own really. Lex on the other hand is so genuinely interesting, believable and intimidating. His motivation is one of the most unique villain motivs out there, he's all around top 3 villains of all time. Doctor Doom ans Green Goblin are my other two favorites
You're missing my favorite one:
Metron: I warn you one final time, only a 12th level intellect has the slightest hope of surviving what you are about to experience.
Lex: Then I'm overqualified.
I always loved how they were in a constant struggle of right vs. wrong not good vs. evil. Lex makes very good points and is right to doubt and mistrust Superman. And Superman makes very good points and is right to doubt Lex Luthor. I love it.
Damn Mr Krabs sure went nuts after he lost his shell :(
Clancy Brown played Lex Luthor (1996) before he played Mr. Krabs(1999). So it is more like one of his experiments turned him into a crab and the only thing he retained was his greed.
Lol he's also savage oppress
Clancy Brown will always be Lex Luthor to me
This actor plays in Superman TAS, or not?
Yep
He's also the voice of Mr. Krabs.
That's who's voice I hear when I read the comics!!
@@tysargent9647 WE DO NOT SPEAK OF THAT!!!!
And then years later Lex Luthor went from this badass, evil, sinister criminal mastermind/businessman from the comics and cartoons to a young whiny, red-haired brat who acts like a Looney Tunes villain, in Batman V Superman.
Bryan Cranston should be luthor cold, cunning & calculating
+Mark Galan Yep
+Daniel Anyamele yup
+Daniel Anyamele i cant say it better.
+Renzo Fideli Sancho Jesse Eisenburg. He was younger than in the tv shows.
"you're psychotic "
"that's a three syllable word for any thought to big, for little minds." - lex luthor
That's a good line from an awful movie.
get lost hater...we are getting Justice now
"How about three words with one perfectly symbolic thought for yourself that is a perfect response to what you said to me, namely, piss off, cunt? Here is the thing, Lex, people that claim to be intellectual superiors always, without failure, prove to be intellectual inferiors, just like that one cartoon coyote that always claimed to be a super genius. Now, were that coyote actually as smart as he falsely proclaimed to the world, then he would realize that a. coyotes are ironically faster than road runners, thus he would have already caught him and had a snack long ago, and b. he could have a ton of lawsuits against those companies for selling him defective products in the attempt to capture said road runner, thus he could, through those law suits, acquire literally have those companies that he sued against and that he could also hire new, as well as far better, people that actually know how to build products that actually would capture road runners not only swiftly, but also efficiently, precisely, and without failure, and he could have had all of the money, wealth, power, and desires that he wanted in his life, just as you could with your own life. Sadly, he is not smart, and neither are you, and especially for what you said against myself, but thank you for admitting that your mind is small, as well as that any thought is too big for you to understand in your life...it really saved myself the effort of having to say those things about yourself". - Daimyo
Clancy is the best Lex luthor voice actor
I never like how villains motives are just because they're evil. A villain should never acknowledge themselves as evil, because they should consider what they're doing the right thing. Evil is a point of view. For instance Lex has convinced himself that superman is the bad guy as he is an alien immigrant imposing his will on a foreign planet. Lex wants earth matters to be resolved by humans and not aliens so he wants to get rid of superman. He's not evil, just insane
That makes perfect sense.
Micah Watson thanks, i think it is this ideology is what separates a good villain from a great villain in fiction.
TheCelticTiger32 Honestly, after a long while of getting called evil for what they do, I imagine villains just say what they do is evil. The word loses meaning to them.
CcReap3r They don't care what people call them, they are too caught up in their ambition and lust for power. They would just dismiss these remarks as ignorant opinions.
TheCelticTiger32 And for all his insanity, Lex actually has a point.
Clancy Brown IS Lex Luthor
Because HE...KNOWS...LUTHOR!
Lex Luthor : "Look at me when I talk to you"
* Back hand slap Superman*
Bow down to me you alien swine... so racist 😂😅🤣😂
Lex Luthor is the worst kind of foe to have, he a foe who believes EVERYTHING HE DOES IS RIGHT, he sees superman as the villain and himself as the worlds hero. The reason he tries to conquer the world is because in his own Maniacal head, he BELIEVES that if he were in charge, the world would be a better place. they say that even THE JOKER knows that what he does is wrong, but he just doesn't care. The more evil the foe, the greater the hero who beats them in my opinion.
Not to be a jerk: but I understand Luthors side. He has worked for everything and became independent trying to have a purpose in life. Then superman comes and society becomes dependent on him. Luthor doesn't like the idea of relying on an alien and his powers for the human race to survive. Don't get me wrong I know Sups is good and double L is bad. But if you think about it, it is similar to real life events. The Average person depends on the government in America. 92 million estimated. We have become so dependent on others and machines we don't have the basic knowledge to survive in other enviroments. Technology is evolving into a state of awareness known as A.I. and we will depend on that for every day comforts. In this case the analogy is Superman is the A.I and Luthor is the human that hates the dependent on superior beings. Yes he has done criminal things to get his way, but he still did what he had to do to survive and you can't deny the respect of the hard work he put into it
ShadowDurza just to precise, i think it's established that in alternate realities where Superman didn't exist/ turned bad, Luthor savd the world and led it into an age of prosperity and peace that lasted for centuries
***** But how did he beat mongul doomsday and darkseid.
dylan Graham they aren't mentioned at all.
+christophe varengo Yeah, in several alternate realities (and almost in the main continuity) Lex beats Superman and turns the world into a super advanced unified culture.
Lex + Superman = Superboy. Well, that's a match made in heaven.
+Cyberium i shipp it =)
I feel like I've landed on Tumbrl
For a long time I never quite understood the deal between Lex Luthor and Superman. I've realized it now. Before Superman, Lex Luthor was (and arguably is) one of the most powerful and influential beings on the planet. As soon as Superman entered the picture that status was dropped down something that Luthor found unacceptable. So he from then on he has been trying to bring Superman down (or kill him whatever works). I guess that the Superman movies never really explored that into depth (I'm unsure of the TV show Smallville considering I've never watched it). I'm hoping that Batman vs Superman shows this.
Clancy Brown will forever be the one and only voice of Lex Luthor . Clancy Brown is the man .
“I don’t believe in risk, I believe in preparation”
"You will never be prepared for me, Lex Luthor. Many said what you have, only to be shown failure in every sense of the word, and you will not be an exception to that rule". - Daimyo
Probably one of the most dangerous comic book villains of all time.
even though this quote wasnt in the video but it is a really good quote from lex luther from superman the movie.
"Some people can read War and Peace and come away thinking it's a simple adventure story. Others can read the ingredients on a chewing gum wrapper and unlock the secrets of the universe"
This man is lex. Not jesse eisenberg.
Oh relax. Jesse was fine.
alice margereta Yes you can. Whether he was inferior or not depends on someone's opinion.
+alice margereta Totally ! Yup! Nice tribute to Heath Ledger though. Too bad the Joker wasn't in this movie, but then neither was lex luthor.
+alice margereta Even the guy from Lois & Clark is a better Lex.
soberchimera61 John Shea was a good Lex but Dean Cain at least to me was not a great Superman
"Of course it's me, you twit."
That's beyond hilarious! XD
I really wish we could get a movie Lex Luthor like the Animated Series one played by Clancy Brown.
I'd love to see the scene in Superman TAS, when Lex and Superman first meet and Lex informs Supes that he owns Metropolis.
That scene is in the fifth episode of superman animated series. I believe it is called a little piece of home. It is the episode where they first introduce Kryptonite.
Can we just all agree that Clancy Brown will forever be the ideal voice of Lex Luthor? Like seriously, he was basically born for the role.
Are you feeling it now, Mr. Luthor?
missing my favorite one at the end of the DCAU: JLU
Metron: only an intellect of level 12, has a small chance to comprehend what its there
Luthor: Then i m overqualified
-I see the show in another language, maybe something got lost in the translation-
That is the correct quote
Lex Luthor really is the Megatron to the Legion of Doom b/c he's their leader as I know it.
‘Of course it’s me you twit’ looooool Clancy Brown is hilarious... I love Superman mannn
I like Superman: The Animated Series' version of Lex the best.
No matter what; no sequel, no Snyder cut, nothing. Nothing will be better than the DCAU. Ever.
My favorite incarnation of Lex is during John Byrne's Superman run. A scientific genius, and the CEO of a multinational corporation.
Total badass!
JESSIE ***DAM EISENBURG!!! ARE YOU F**KING SERIOUS?!?!?!?!?!
Superboy a son of Superman and Lex. Woah. That's some pretty messed up relationship.
+Mike Foxclaw I wonder what a kid would be like if he's from Batman and Joker.
+Cyberium Well... to quote Lex "Who's your Daddy?"
Lex Luther is a perfect human being. So capable of a lot and doesn't see himself being human as beneath.
And not a single mention of a Jolly Rancher in sight. Wonderful
when all is said and done, Lex Luthor is one of the few villains i would actually trust the world, say whatever you want about him but his business mindset is all about optimization and we've seen many times over that he wishes for humanity's wellfare & superiority in the grand scheme of things, all he wants is to be the one credited and i say if he can do it then give him the credit
He actually doesn't care about humanities welfare. In superman all star, he cured cancer, but spread out the formula to maximize his profits.
well, i'm speaking from the vision you get most of the time on alternate universe comics whenever Luthor Wins, i mean in Superman Red Son he basically won and then lead humanity into a golden age of technological advances, as well as a culture reinassance and optimization of laws for the betterment of everybody (won't say more since spoilers)
4:08
Eisenberg needs to say this.
Clancy Brown is the one and only voice for Lex Luthor and he is just perfect :)
it would be pretty awesome if they got Clancy Brown to be lex in the man of steel sequel
I-I'm so sorry...
There's still hope, right? I mean, the filmmakers intentionally left the back door open in case people didn't like Eisenburg as Luthor, so they could claim that "Alexander Luthor" was actually the real Luthor's son. In a proper MoS sequel, "daddy" Luthor could come back from wherever he ran off to, and he could be the real Lex.
goji3755 just shave Clancy and you'll have Luthor
I love these, I'm hooked and keep up the great work!
Lex Luthor: I spent $75 million on a fake presidential campaign
Michael Bloomberg: Hold my champagne
I don't know how anyone who watched this Lex for years would be able to bare Eisenberg's butchery of a performance.
I certainly couldn't.
Quite easily in my case. It wasn't my favourite version of the character but it was still loyal to the elements of the character and I enjoyed it.
“Some people can read war and peace and come away thinking it is a simple adventure story, others can read the back of a chewing gum wrapper and learn the secrets of the universe” Lex Luthor
1:37 Agent 47, is that you?
Bravo XD
Love his quotes :)
By god, half the dialogue Lex and Superman exchange with each other could be sickly twisted into a slash fic.
Abdullah Pender I think it has already been done
***** (silence)
(Scrambles around on the internet)
I MUST FIND THIS.
Why?
i love these quotes of villains
im subbing
I've always loved his reply to Nightwing in the Batman/Superman comics when Grayson tells him to "Go to Hell." He simply says, "I've been. It's overrated."
Clancy Brown is the best
this really is the best version of Lex Luthor, and the JLU is in my opinion, better than anything DC has put to screen before or since.
Young Justice is much better in my opinion. There is just a suave confidence to their Lex that feels unbeatable.
"That's right conspiracy buff I spent 95 million dollars on a fake presidential campaign. All just to tick superman off."
Okay I like this guy.
I liked how Lex saved earth in the finale of JLU.
“That was uncalled for”
-Lex luthor
I'll admit, Clancy Brown is definitely the best Lex Luthor out there, but the Lex Luthor in Young Justice did a pretty good job, too.
Lex Luthor : proving you don't need superpowers to be a awesome supervillain.
Lex Luthor is the best villain of all time
Lex Luther the original “screw the rules I got money”
The man,the myth,the legend....
the one from young justice is calm as fuck😂
1000th like, YES! :)
You left out one of my favorite lines.
"Arrogant Cow!"
Luthor scares me as much as Joker does..... thats an achievement
Holy shit, Lex Luthor is my favorite superhero! I wish to be just like him one day. :)
You need to update this with young justice season 2. Best animated Luthor ever.
Keep up the good work.
Clancy Brown >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Jesse Eisenberg
It's March!! We're counting down to Dawn of Justice!! 8 more days!!!
+cameronjr8 too bad we didn't get this guy instead of poor man's Scott Pilgrim as a Billionaire supervillain
"A good businessman has to keep tract of his assholes", Lex Luthor King Junior . . .
Lex is what we need, not we necessarily want...even more than the JLU
Glad to hear it :)
Gotta love "President? Do you know how much power I'd have to give up to be president?"
Best lex luthor is michael rosembaum. Defiantly.
DeathCreationist IMO Clancy Brown is the best with Rosenbaum in second.
nah, he's the best flash
Glad to hear it!
[1:48] Any stray dog is also a "father", Luthor...
Best lex luthor is from the cartoons justice league and injustice . ! Smooth
Injustice cartoon?
It's March!! We're counting down to Dawn of Justice!! 24 days left!!!
Lex Luthor is my second favorite DC villains.
Lex Luthor is always will be the best Supervillain ever.
what do you want?
The world Ms.Kent
"Lex Luthor, a mouse with an oversized brain and his seemingly unintelligent sidekick could not get the job done, despite doing this idea of yours themselves time after time, with some plans taking literally years to come to fruition, only to end up in disastrous failure, kind of like your life and intellectual level, so if they could not do so, then what makes you think that you are any different than they are with their plans? You need a different hobby, as well as an actual social life, because you are horrible at the world domination game". - Daimyo
Tellingly, most of the clips on this video feature Clancy Brown Lex. No-one surpasses Clancy Brown, though I must confess I do have a small soft spot for the Gene Hackman version.
5:02 That suit Luthor use in Injustistice Gau DLC
Lex Luthor: You look like a chicken.
Hawkgirl: And you look like an egg.
cameronjr8 hahaha
Lex Luthor: Laugh at this!
Joker: You're the joke, Lexy.
Hawkgirl:You're no warrior
Lex:I'm more than that
JOHN GRIGORAKOS Lex Luthor: Mind over muscle!
Superman: Good thing I've got both.
Clancy brown!
Lex Luthor is the greatest villain of all time. I've been saying that for years.
"Fuckin' Androids."
I'm guessing Superman was the person who disliked this video.
But how could this be the great quotes of Lex Luthor without: "Lex Luthor is pleased." D:
The offer was merely..a courtesy
