Luckily for OP, she owns 2 huge mastiffs who will protect their human no matter what. So... the dogs attack the home intruder, and 2 giant mastiffs vs 1 unarmed intruder is not a fair fight! It's a crying shame that the last girl had to go through such lengths to protect herself from a guy who literally assaulted her. The Dean and the gym teachers failed to protect her, and if it weren't for her quick thinking, Jack probably would have attacked her with that switchblade. No kid should ever feel that they have to bear the burden of keeping themselves safe alone.

@Norman - I agree that bullies do not have a gender or race, BUT historically school's responses to bullying are sensitive to it. Bullying is all about place in the social order, so when teacher and administrators see various people as above other people, their view on if it is bullying or not tends to reflect that. This factors in even more so when it comes to 'fighting back'. White guys tended to get the most leeway, the more 'normal' they were, the more likely they were to have their bullying ignored and anyone fighting back punished. This has been slowly changing, but was pretty terrible in the past.

Schools tend to have a hush hush take on bullying, at least when I was in school. I had a bully in middle school who damn near killed me in gym, no teacher supervision present, and they basically threatened my parents to not sue them so as to keep the school's reputation on the up and up. How did the bully almost kill me? Hockey sticks, no protective equipment, and he slammed my left temple with the tip of the stick. I have never in my life seen so much blood, and I probably never will again. My face was covered, my arms, my shoulders, down my chest, a splash over the wall I was adjacent to, and a rapidly expanding puddle on the concrete. I blacked out for a few seconds and fell over, got up, dropped everything and walked haggardly to the nurses. Of the thirty to forty odd students I passed on the way, only two offered to help me. The rest just stared in disbelief or shock. The nurse screamed. At the hospital I learned that had the stick's edge struck me half an inch forwards, I'd be blind in one eye, or half an inch backwards, and I'd be dead. All my tormenter got was a concussion and a little juvie. This was in the 90s, and in the bible belt of 'murica. Sickening.

Yes, students would brawl every now and then, but I never heard of anyone getting more than some small bruises or their glasses broken and I've experienced loads of bullying first hand as both victim and bully.
I thought anything that resulted in worse than minor physical injuries would no longer be considered as 'mere' bullying, but full-on assault with legal consequences and all...

I think he got a pretty harsh talking to and a warning cause he hadn't done anything outside of this idiocy specifically, but he had to also not get detentions or anything for the rest of the year (roughly 4 months of actual school time, excluding holidays) or he'd pretty much instantly get suspended for a week. Fortunately, the school system here doesn't fuck around when it comes to threats to students, that and we aren't america so ain't no one walking in with thirty in the mag and an itchy finger.

neeneko See I’m not talking about the sexual assault side of things. I’m talking about the fact that if you get bullied in general society wants you to tell the teacher/ just deal with it. The only way to get rid of a physical bully is to beat the fuck out of them. It’s really that simple. That’s how people use to get rid of bullies, now if you do that today you get in bigger trouble than the actual bully who started it.
Telling the teacher or “ignoring” it literally does nothing.
Showing strength is the only way to get meat heads like that to leave you alone.
And when you start punishing the victims of bullying that’s when you get people who walk into schools with guns. Because no one is helping them, and because they’re already mentally unstable it breaks them and that’s when they start to not care.

Yeah, as a parent I don’t get why teachers tell kids to “just ignore it and it’ll stop”. This is in a “bully free school”. When I spoke to a couple of my daughters teachers to ask about something that happened they said “oh, so and so threw water on her” and laughed. I didn’t find it funny.
As it turned out one of my daughter’s friends (one of my Girl Scouts), told the bully off one day. It was the first time anyone had stood up to her. Bullying stopped from that day forward.
As usual the bully is a do nothing loser but I am to this day highly disappointed in the people higher to teach my child. Knowing what I know now, I wouldn’t let them near my child.

One adult isnt capable of watching 40 kids by themselves no matter how seasoned a teacher they are. OP could have literally died without notice to the teacher if Jack had simply held her underwater with his buddies instead of trying to molest her. and by the time it would have been noticed there wouldn't be a way to prove she didnt just drown from swimming. even due to budgeting problems (thanks American government btw) it's still considered child endangerment to not have enough adults around.

      Example from video:
He grabbed her breast, she screams, then next thing she knows she's being held back. So basically what happened is after she screamed, her body just went on autopilot. She had great grounds to attack the pervert. She kept telling him to leave her the fuck alone, he didn't listen. So, she taught him to leave her the fuck alone or else he'd get fucked up. So, the middle school my brother went to has this VIP education program thing. It is supposedly an anti bullying thing.
So, once a year the program would give an award to VIP advocates.
This award is given during one of those super boring school assemblies that no one wants to go to, but you have to because school.
The awards are being delivered and this random kid is giving a speech about how bullying is bad and what not.
My brother is sitting beside me, he pulls my shirt and tells me. "It's funny he gets an award while being my bully" at that moment my heart sank. I raised the kid and being a victim of bullying myself, I can relate to him.
Because of circumstances I don't want to get into I was conditioned to always avoid conflict. I saw my brother was headed to the same path and knowing that walking away and ignoring it just doesn't work, I told him to stand up for himself and fight back. He said he didn't want to get in trouble with my parents to which I replied I was his parent since I practically raised him.
I then went to have a serious discussion with my mom about a possible phone call from the school. As to not punish my brother for defending himself.
Few days later, we get a phone call. Teacher is complaining that my brother hit another kid to which I reply "let me assure you, he was defending himself" and then pointed out this was his very first incident.
Teacher tried to give me the whole anti violence and anti bullying BS and then I told her the VIP story from the beginning and how my brother's bully had gotten an award. Her response was "wow" (I assume there also was a shocked Pikachu face)
I told her that since no one ever did anything serious whenever we came forward about my brother being bullied, then we had instructed him to use violence and that he would not be getting into trouble for it.
Teacher says nothing, then I ask. Is this going to affect his marks? (My brother always have had high marks) she says, no, this will not affect his marks.
"OK" I say, "then there is nothing else to discuss here, have a good day"
TL;DR: Anti bullying programs and advocacy are useless. It is survival of the fittest.

The first story reminds me of a joke I heard years ago.
A burglar breaks into a house and hears someone say, "Jesus is watching you." The burglar froze in place for a moment, waiting for another comment. A minute later, he goes back to snooping through the house when he hears it again. "Jesus is watching you." Freaked out, he turns around and sees a parrot in the corner of the room he was in. " Jesus is watching you," the parrot says again. Relieved, the burglar responds to the parrot, "You must be Jesus." "No," the parrot replied, "My name is Moses." Puzzled, the burglar asks the bird, "Who names their parrot Moses?" The parrot replied, "The same people who name their rottweiler Jesus."

This sounds like an inner city school. Not caring about bullying, having MULTIPLE security officers. This is NOT a typical school. My high school had ONE officer who technically worked for the police department but was stationed at our school. No one messed with him because he was chill and also a SWAT team member. 12 gauge and riot shield in his office.
These big 5000-10,000 student schools in the cities are impossible to improve. If you’re in the city, your kids must be private school for a decent education. Suburbs and rural can be public.

Despite me constantly reporting their actions of harassment and assault nothing happened. When it snapped and pulled a knife on them saying I am "going to send them to my kingdom of fire and suffering" (I was edgy I know) I ended being the one in trouble.
