I’m color blind, pretty much all I can see are black, shades of gray, white and bold primary colors. So I don’t wear much else lol. But I make it work!

Thank you , Frederique, for "redefining" or perhaps "clarifying" the meaning of "matchy-matchy." Monochromatic dressing has gotten a bad rap in the US. Doing it correctly, as your demo suggests, is so helpful. The sude by side on this os fabu!
I tuck and belt and in order to elongate my torso, Often wear belts that match the top or in a similar color family.

My favorite skirt/dress length is just covering the kneecap, too. This length highlights the thinnest part of the leg above the ankle. Just above the kneecap is great, too. Of course, much longer skirts are trending now, they can look great ending around or below the ankle, but mid-calf isn’t that flattering. I wear my mid-calf ones with mid-heel knee-high boots, they look so much better than with flats. Because I’m short, most skirts are mid-calf on me, but I don’t have the patience to hem them all, I wear skirts a lot.
Would love to see you talk about purses/handbags. What kind you really need if you are investing in expensive bags, etc. And matching metals, which is always an issue for me when I select a bag to wear with an outfit.

6:15 mark it’s an earring. 😂😂🙌. I wore my cancer ♋️ tee with white jeans, sneakers and a black (it wasn’t Chanel 🙁) cross body bag over the summer. I always try to channel my inner Frédérique when getting dressed. Down to the shoes, which I line up 4 pairs (at least) on top of my stairs to avoid the square toed sandle dilemma you spoke of before. Love this. 🫶🏼🫶🏼

I am also 5”2 and 130 pounds so oversized tops are not for me. I can do one size up but that is all. I think petite women look better when they wear clothes that aren’t too big.😊

l have to disagree with the first point - wearing bold opposite colours.
It makes an outfit pop and gives personality. I think its worth considering whether the colours are complementary in temperature, warm and cool tones.
Monochromatic dressing is flattering but sometimes it can make you blend in with the crowd - like every woman wearing black to an event - very little individuality.
Same Maria , I was thinking black jeans / skirt with red shirt maybe. I can't do beige, tan neutrals I feel ( look) like a bowl of cold porridge.

Thanks, great advice, I love that you are not tall and you make all these looks great! I have trouble with the tuck though. I am curvy and I have a belly and I just can't seem to make it work. It seems to work so much better for those with slim hips.

I never thought about the wrong size of bag being a hindrance. I agree with you though. I often think of the my new favorite bag is ok to be worn with the attire I will be wearing. But there are times I just don’t care. But now you’ve confirmed the size of a bag can interfere with the overall appeal. Thank- you.

Underwear matters. I am so lazy with bras. Sports bras and nylon "genie bra" type things spell UNIBOOB on me,yet,i have been trying to pull it off for years. My girls are pendulous and need actual cups and support which includes underwires to hike em up and provide a more natch shape in clothes.

As much as I like different styles of jeans, ex. wide leg pants, skinny (slim) jeans are my favorite for my figure. I'm 5'2", so I like that you model many skinny jean outfits also. I liked your finished outfits and the tips you give. The green shirt is nice on you. What would we do without your wonderful personality also!

Thank you for all the advice. I'm leaving Australia after 6 weeks and have been curating my look with your help. I gave away all the clothes I brought with me! It was a beautiful weekend and I found many bargains at Glebe in sydney. Have you heard of Lost Lorelei? I paired their wide leg pants with a pair of white lacoste sneakers. My top was a simple white tee that was front tucked! I'm very slim from the waist down and it made such a difference!

The only thing I would say is that in, for example, the black shoes/white jeans combo, you swapped flat black shoes for high nude heels and tucked the shirt in which totally changed the look. If the black shoes had been heels and the shirt had been tucked in this would have looked great without a colour change. Just my thoughts.

Hi Frederique, enjoy your videos! I have a question on pairing dresses with flat white canvas/leather shoes which I have seen many women wearing.
