My mans out here living his best life with this games collection!
This is fantastic. I could listen to you for hours and hours talking about gaming in general. Super excited for part two.
Outstanding video bro. Your collection is absolutely phenomenal. As an ultra organized human and collector, you are my absolute idol of collecting. Kick asssssss
Legit belly laughed at that phone gag, nice work! Thanks for sharing this :) A true collector who plays the games and shares the excitement. By the way the Saturn cases story hit home for me as well. At one point my brothers and I "to save space" (?) got rid of tons of our ps1 and ps2 cases (including covers and backs) and just had the manuals and discs in those cd wallets. I've got most of them back but man... it's a source of great shame.
I legit cringed...
@@dirtyfrench2926 That was the point bud
Thanks for this. You've been an incredible resource for helping me get all my systems hooked up. Appreciate the game room tour and hope you start thriving on CZcams. I wish you all the best :)
Great video! Randomly saw it on my feed and thoroughly enjoyed your game room tour and quirky humor. Love your cat too!
Yes! I was waiting for this one! I watched your collection showcase video on your first channel a while ago but I was wanting to see a more in depth and updated one.
I am someone with a family and cant have the time or money to collect anything like this - so I appreciate when I see someone else's collection posted and seeing how they show it off. Good job man, hope your channel thrives.
And space lol
Amazing collector/collection. A man after my own heart but with a little more time and ability to collect. My collection only spans about 250-ish but I'm quite proud :) Thanks for sharing. Went ahead and subscribed.
Awesome collection, glad I stumbled on the channel, subscribed!
absolutely impressive and thanks for sharing! keep it up!
Love your content, mad respect to you mate.
I really like how you don't primarily focus on monetary values and reselling, as hard as it may be to ignore it. Most retro gaming youtubers have turned away from why they love games and focus their content on why they love money, and it has really soured the retro community for me. Thanks for the cool video! I enjoyed
Good to see an update to the game collection! I've gotten some good stuff added to my collection, in the time i've been collecting. Just to name a few games, For OG Xbox I got: Call of Cthulhu, Conker live and reloaded, Dino Crisis 3, Silent hill 2, Simpsons Hit and Run and Cold Fear. For PS2 i've gotten: Silent hill 2, Def Jam fight for New York, Castlevania Curse of Darkness, Jurassic Park Operation Genesis, Shadow The Hedgehog, Ace Combat Zero The Belkan war and Godzilla Save the Earth. Hope to See More From the Collection and i'll probably Be making a Collection Tour Soon as well.
I subscribed, I like your non overproduced and honest style.
I wish you all the best in your endeavor man!
I really like your collection. Thank you for showing it to us.
I love how you collect game not only to hoard the game but also love and want to play it.
I used to be: buy play and sell the game to buy another game, but somehow I regretted the choice to not keep the game that I really enjoy.
Now I always keep the game and not sell it except somehow I really don't like it after playing.
I bought many digital games as well because of convenient and discount but recently sony and nintendo closing their store make me realize physical copy is more important.
really cool collection to share, looking forward to part 2.
That's exactly the point. Collect them, know them, play them and enjoy them.
You’re very committed to collecting and YouTubing and I think that deserves a subscribe in itself. Looking forward to future content.
@gamingthesystem: Retro - First off thank you for these videos. I have been enjoying your content. You remind me of myself so much. Though I don't collect anymore nor have any physical games except for my Original copy of FF2 on the SNES and ONLY because my Mother who snuck me this game and saved up money to buy it for me. My mother passed away when I was 32 she was 58 and was unexpected. I am still grieving she was my everything
However I don't even have any modern systems anymore just a PC. Which by me that is fine as I am 42 (not that there is anything wrong gaming as you get older). I am glad I can live vicariously through you and think about the good times in my life.
You have made my life a little bit easier my friend and I thank you for that. I listen to your videos while I do some woodworking, building desks, tables, shelves, catio's you name it.
May you be well! Cheers
Rest in peace to your dear mother.
Just a man sitting on the floor with his game collection petting his cat. This is honestly most wholesome thing ever!
I highly enjoyed your presentation my friend. Thank you!
I used to work for blockbuster. I managed several until blockbusters demise. When I closed my last store I employed a Star Wars nerd who bought several of the shelvings and repurposed them to display his vintage Star Wars figures. If only you could go back in time and raid a blockbuster.
Amazing collection !! You seem like a wicked chill dood!!
Great video my friend. I like that you have a library for your game collection, that you keep separate from your gaming area. I wouldn't recommend game collecting to anyone that hasn't already started years ago either. It's just way too expensive these days, and even common games are over priced. I'm so glad I start collecting when I was a kid. The early 2000s into 2015 were the golden days of collecting for me.
Nintendo GameCube has become popular these days but I remember how much hate that console received when it first was released. You could find GameCube consoles for under $30 everywhere back then and games like Mario Sunshine, we're priced at $10.
I love the original Xbox as it's my favorite console of all time. I love it so much. That I own a complete North American Original Xbox set. I currently own 6 original Xbox consoles and they all work, including my original system. I can't wait to check out part 2.
Great collection, I was really intrigued by your collection, especially the Atari game variations. Thank you for the tour...👏🕹️🤩
The most realest channel I've watched ever. I'm feel the same way brother. Whole house and everything. I have to much never really looking for anything new to add unless I find at my local thrift stores
And the cats, dont forget the kitties🐱🐱🐱
Casual t-mek ! Cool collection, having everything accessible is half the battle, so you’re doing great on that front.
impressive collection dude, love watching what other people do with their collections, it inspires me to keep collecting. currently i have 11 consoles : a PSOne, a original playstation, a slim ps2 (the 2007 model) a fat Ps2 which i modded with a noctua Fan, a slim 120gb ps3, a slim Ps4, a funtastic series Jungle Green N64, a black Gamecube with a gameboy player underneath with a EON HD MK2 adapter and a Marseille video Processor adapter hooked up as well for the best possible Gamecube picture. a Dreamcast which i also modded with a Noctua Fan, an original Xbox Version 1.2 which i soft modded using a game save exploit.i also removed the clock capacitor on it to avoid it exploding and destroying the console. and a second Revision Nintendo Switch. and almost 300 games across those systems! keep making great content and sharing your passion for gameing! you never know who it will inspire next?!
I just got a Retron 77 about 6 months ago, started collecting 2600 carts(very fun) and find I love Atari 2600 game's more than when I was a kid!
Not even minute in and this legend plays the Mario 64 ost for music background. The nostalgia hit me like a gust wind. Thanks for the memory. Excellent collection. (Mr Burns voice)
Whaaaaaat finally bro, I remember watching your game system room video a couple years ago.
Thanks for show your collection.
Hi from Brazil!
I'm your fan.
Shoutout to this guy for quitting his job to fulfill his passion and love. I hope many of us will follow in the steps of happiness
You forgot the Cathode Ray Tude Amusement Device. Everyone needs this in their collection to become a true video game collector.
6:42 The phone call gag caught me off guard, well done.
Love your collection .
What a great tour my man
Awesome videos Kevin thanks again
Awesome collection!
There is something I love about collecting and playing Atari 2600 games. I don't care if other people think they are too primitive. I don't know if it's the simple game play, or simple controller, but many of those games are still fun. I also like the homebrews as well. Lady Bug, Juno first, Space Rocks, and Scramble are some of my favorite homebrews.
True
So cool! Currently building mine, trying to collect MINT/factory sealed/brand new consoles. I bought a OG Xbox in 2018 that was brand new, sealed for just $250. I took it apart before I even booted it and sure enough the clock cap was nasty. Replaced it and the thermal paste and it has ran perfectly since then. Also got a sealed PS2 slim in 2020 for $300, it did not need anything. My latest purchase was a unopened, first production Xbox 360, build date of April 2006. But it needs ALOT of work, has 16 blown/leaking caps, I guess from sitting so long. It would not even boot. Currently working on it, but it is a challenge and solder keeps clogging the holes . It is crazy opening these boxes that have been sealed for years and letting the consoles see light for the first time.
Sick collection brother!
This is really incredible.
I hear you about game prices, I'm glad I got most of mine for my favorite systems when they were $2 to $14. Now you see some of them in the $100's and feel bad for new collectors.
For the Nintendo Wii, they released Metroid Prime: Trilogy and it includes all of the Prime games on the Wii console.
It was my favorite way to play those games and felt immersive. I used the Wii Motion Plus controller and had no issues.
Now if only they added a VR mode for those games, it would be perfect.....
Nice collection =D
Those Jack's are really cool never seen them before
Awesome collection there. 🤩
I like how neat you have the games, I had an Atari 2600 back in the day when it came out, missile command is great on 2600 but in an arcade that game is brutally hard!
You have a very beautiful home and collection, GTS:R.
12:55 - The Adventures of Willy Beamish is awesome! Finished it on my 386 dx2 66, but I'm sure it's just as fun on Sega CD! Awesome collection btw!
Cool. I'm glad someone else has experienced it.
Great collection
As a long time game collector, impressive collection buddy
The OG xbox's are repairable for the most part. I recommend getting a 1.6 revision then the most of the issues you'd have would be the disc drive. Though I always recommend putting new thermal paste on the gpu and cpu.
yeah and dont forget to remove or replace the the clock capacitors in those xboxs because they are literal ticking time bombs
@@Punisher6791 The 1.6 revisions don't need it. That's why I recommend those.
I think the games play on the
Xbox 360
@@chrisjones5194 not all of them. There's a few that are very near and dear to me that are only playable on the og.
i love this channel/creator because its apologetically pure nerd energy. keep being you friend.
Super channel and content my friend keep it up✌😎
The phone call😂😂😂great collection bro
Solid gamecube collection. Gotta build it up a bit though. I just love the gamecube so much. Obviously you got the must haves, but there are just so many weird games for it. Those weird third party games like charlie and the chocolate factory
Great stuff.
I wouldn't have noticed the uneven shelf gaps if you didn't mention them. I do that too when I make things, see the imperfections. The shelves look great and don't need changing. 😁👍
That first comment you show is brutal. I hope you don't let the naysayers get to you. Your content is top notch. Please keep up the amazing work. 🎉
Getting over the top negative comments is a sign the videos are reaching a larger audience; I hope to see more.
@@GamingTheSystems1 Touche! Great point and outlook. 👊
Good video thanks.
Can tell you’re a kind soul by how much Midnight Cat likes you.
Cool collection! You could try clamping the shelves and screwing them together to get rid of the gaps. Finished off with some trim pieces.
Keep fighting those ladies off!
very nice collection
Logo looks good 👍 i also respectfully disagree with your assessment on the starpath. You seem to argue its an accessory, but its definitely more of an expansion like sega cd. I know adding it to the setup is logistical hell, so i dont blame you leaving it out, but i have faith if anyone could it, its GamingTheSystems 💪
Damn you learn something new everyday. I never knew there was a series of Crazy Taxi. I always thought there was just Crazy Taxi 8n the yellow case and that was it. I know it's a multi console game. I own it on GameCube and we used to have it on PC (which was the more superior version) but it was really good.
Probably the only man who has a whole shelf dedicated to the atari jaguar. And damn that genesis collection! I mean, he's probably got about the same amount of SNES games, but cardboard boxes make that genesis collection look so much more impressive. I do love me a good genesis game. Snes is good, but the sound of the genesis is so unqiue, even compared to the SNES. Grew up with sega smash pack 2, so it's about as ingrained in my nostalgia as the GBA's sound.
Missle commond and pitfall 2 are my favorite games on 2600 and I agree, I started slowly collecting 12 or 13 years ago.
Games have got insane, and so hard to find out in the wild.
I just filmed a Top 10 favorite 2600 games. It'll be posted in a few days.
@@GamingTheSystems1 awesome, can't wait!
And what a COLLECTION it is !
Key words burning out the disc or laser head. Reason emulation exists. Great video, great collection. Hoping to have a similar collection but all digital since trying mimic your collection would be impossible because of the costs associated with it.
Install similar devices on the ceiling in between the shelves to straighten them up. it could look cool too
Everything Acclaim released on the 32x came in a clam shell case. RAW, WrestleMania, NBA Jam, and NFL Quarterback Club.
4:38 Pretty yellow box. Very cool.
Great tour, love to see it!
You only like it because you see a profit in it
16:33 - Now I do remember Geist. I borrowed it from a friend and was able to beat it. It did have an interesting gameplay since you play as the spirit / ghost a lot of the time. Some puzzles might require some extra thinking on how to solve them.
The only MAJOR downside is there isn't much replayability after you beat it.
18:30 - While I was mainly a PS2 gamer back then, I don't really blame you for getting many of the games on Xbox.
The major plus is since Xbox had a hard drive and was DESIGNED to let you rip your music to the hard drive, this opened up a lot more options in many XBox games over PS2. Some games like GTA3/VC and Burnout 3: Takedown would read the music from the Xbox's hard drive and let you listen to them as custom music (integrated into the game). PS2 versions wouldn't do that for obvious reasons.
I guess that's why I was glad I played and mostly beat Burnout 3 on Xbox since having a lot of custom music to play instead of the ingame tracks was a major plus.
On a somewhat unrelated topic, I really do need to mod my original Xbox. Not only to allow larger TB storage but to save the games to the system and run it off of there, but that's a distant future project.
Awwww dat kitty. Great video!
Super Mario Sunshine ☀️ and NHL 2003 ironically 2 of the games you pointed out that changed my life for ever. Super Mario Sunshine really Got me into video games. NHL 2003 got me interested in hockey and I played it up through my second year of college. Oh and I got a crazy black cat 🐈⬛ just like you but my cat is ferocious 😂.
Cool. I go further back, but enjoyed NHL Hockey on the Genesis. Those were great for the time. Sunshine was cool too. Next time I play through it I'll play the remastered version.
On 3D All Stars.
Love the video man keep up the great work, also what do you think of custom plastic cases for NES, the Gameboy, GBC, GBA, and a 32X games. I think they are great for the handheld game since they are hard to display in a way to show them off
I change positions on things all the time, but for myself, I would only do custom cases to protect a fragile game.
I use them for GB/GBC/GBA, because the games are just too small to keep on a shelf in any meaningful way. There's a site that does REALLY nice repro cover art, and they end up looking kind of like DS/3DS cases.
Genesis and 32X -- I try to get the original cases for those, but there are several in my collection that shipped in cardboard, so that's all there ever was. Haven't decided what to do about those yet.
NES, SNES, Fami, FDS, SFC, N64.. just go on a shelf as-is. I don't really like the one-size-fits-all cases that try to accommodate several different systems. None of the carts seem to fit really well in them, so it's not worth the money to me.
Bro you are a national treasure.
Awesome collection. I agree, don't buy any physical media yet, wait until it goes down unless you find a awesome deal you can't pass.
Fahrenheit is such a goofy game I love it! Worth a play. Not worth opening an unopened copy, but worth buying an opened copy and playing for laughs, or just emulating. I bought th egame though, despite not owning a 32x or sega CD, as one day I will get those just to play this rediculous game. I'm glad to have it in my collection.
6:29 LMAO !!!! save some ladies for the rest of us. LOL
The Otogi games also boosted in price because of Elden Ring, Dark Souls, Demon’s Souls, etc. All were developed by FromSoftware.
Good point
Awesome collection I may have missed it or didn’t say it. Where ya get those shelves? I gotta do something like that. From bottom to top! May be able to get my whole collection up that way
Great room bro
Great channel!
Looks cool
As far as vintage games: I found that multi cartridges are my best friend. No price gouging or inflation included.
"I'm not here to brag about my collection"....
By all means I think that's what we're all here for honestly lol I love to see people show off their collections because then I see games I haven't seen before and will look up the gameplay to see if I want to buy them.
I'm very disappointed with my very young self as there's so many gamecube games I use to have and i have no clue what happen to them I'm sure my cousins came over and stole them but I was like 6-7 at the time very short attention span and clueless to what was happening lol...but the amount of money it would take to replace the games I use to have would be crazy for that system
I've been steadily over the last couple years buying the games I use to own from local game stores/ a local auction website where the prices are well under market value but specifically the auction prices have skyrocketed but still worth it most the time just it takes a very long time to find what I'm looking for and just as you for me I do not collect sports games for me those are the stinkers though I have alot of them due to winning lots with them in there.
3:18 this is the most based, logical advice i've heard from a game collector. I don't collect games myself, and this is precisely the reason.
10:33 "Radiant Silvergun" "most Treasure-d Games"
I see what you did there!
Its alright man. I regret trading in some games back then or really not caring to keep them in mint condition, that are worth a whole lot now. But real cool room.
Awesome. Collect and play how you want. Screw the haters.
Hey, Kevin. Nice game room. You need some Arcade1up. I got TMNT, Simpsons, Killer Instinct, MSVX Neo Geo, T2 , and Ridge Racer. They are great if you are not a modder.
made me chuckle a few times, great video. I agree about the Sega CD, i dont play it due to fear of burning the laser out. Ill stick to emulation for that console.
And it didn’t sell well either.
And also the g cluster, xavixport, inno tv, Bally astrocade, Pokémon mini, gizmondo, ngage, fairchild channel f, Casio loopy and pv-1000, vectrex, leapster 1 and 2 and a lot more
Question? How do you play systems that have corded controllers ? Some of the high ones look far away
I used controller extensions, so they can reach the center of the room. A few are hard-wired (Intellivision), for those there is slack in the cords so they can be pulled out onto the floor. See the details here: czcams.com/video/KjKD_bYGapg/video.html
I used to get anxiety over the lasers, but then I realized they are so cheap and easy to replace. Also, they now make ODEs that do not remove the disk drive, so you can play using either format.
What are ODEs? My PS1 has a laser in it.
@@mariokart8715 Optical Drive Emulator. The Playstation has the Xstation or PSIO as options. They plug in and will run your PS games through an SD card and not ruin the laser.
There’s more in part 2 ?! Oh wow !
Mannn.. This guy is now one of my Super Hero's.. lol
