I'm Brazilian and obviously it did hurt a bit seeing Glover lose that last round after all that happened and the way it went. But man, I love Jiri too and I can't really be mad at the result. What a crazy fight, one of my personal top 5 of all time for sure! And the respect that Jiri and Glover have to each other is pretty wholesome, they were both smiling and hugging each other in the middle of the fight lol. Huge congratulations to this beautiful country. What a display of pride from it's people as they welcome home the very first Czech UFC champion. It was an absolute WAR Jiri went through to earn that title & it's SO damn cool seeing this many people embrace the Champ. THIS is how the sport of MMA continues to grow! Now I have a real thirst to see him defend his title on his own home soil. I believe he and his people earned it with this level of support. He had many opportunities to quit in that fight but didn't! I thought he was done more than a couple times!! Let's see how well he defends! He's got some holes in his game for sure! But he showed he has a Warrior Heart for sure!
I actually think he did very good. But, he was wanting to end it and not fighting smart. Plus people seem to always discount how good Glover actually is. That man has always been a beast. We are talking about a 42yr old fighter 43 in 4 months. Now I am 50, so I don't consider 42 that old now lol. But, with the way they train in MMA... 42 is probably like being 55.

i still can't believe he snuck in that choke in the 30 seconds of the fight. i couldnt believe it thought glover was going home with the belt and juri would have to claw his way back up
He did say before the fight he wanted to beat glover at his own game, not once did he think about going for a take down and stayed true to himself. Gave us fans a banger till the 5th regardless if he thought he was winning or losing, his chin is great but his ability to recover in a split second after getting tagged is ELITE and his resilience is off the chain dude will stay in the fight even if he's down by multiple rounds but will figure out a way to win. Good ish 👏🏽
The fight was fixed. Most fights have been getting fixed ( set in place, with a known outcome) ever since dana white and his partners sold it to whatever crap show bought it. Just thought about this now, the UFC is just a more violent form of WWE (professional wrestling).
