MAWUENA ADZO DUMOR LAID TO REST - SHE MADE HISTORY AS THE FIRST FEMALE CHIEF EXECUTIVE OF GIPC

Celestine Avi's Report - The late Ms. Mawuena Dumor was the elder sister of the late Komla Dumor, a former broadcaster on BBC world service and Dr. Korshie Dumor, a medical practitioner based in the United States. She was the eldest of three children born to sociologist and former Electoral Commission member, Prof. Ernest Dumor, and the late Mrs. Cecilia Dumor. Ms. Dumor made history as the first female Chief Executive of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC). Throughout her career, she held various executive positions, including roles at Ashanti Goldfields Company Ltd. as the first female underground exploration geologist, Newmont Ghana Gold Ltd. as Head of Corporate Communications, and Mobile Telecommunications Network (MTN) as Head of its Corporate Service. She was also the founding Director and Chief Business Strategist at Inspire Africa. Mawuena became the Spokesperson for Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang’s campaign team for the 2020 general election.
