John Mahama to reintroduce road tolls and revive BRT system
Celestine Avi's Report - The flagbearer of the NDC, Mr. John Mahama, has announced an agenda for major road infrastructure improvements to enhance safety and efficiency. He also plans to re-evaluate road tolls and implement more efficient toll plazas. The former President proposed the introduction of electronic gates to reduce traffic congestion and improve overall flow at toll plazas. Additionally, Mr. Mahama highlighted the revival of the Bus Rapid Transit system - BRT, Aayalolo, as part of the agenda to support a 24-hour economy and enhance the efficiency of the transport system.
