  • Doing more work on the 2015 Ford F-350 6.7 powerstroke diesel transforming it into a competition diesel drag racing truck and sled puller. In this video I will be removing the factory dpf and exhaust system and replacing it with a 5" straight pipe exhaust system. This truck is no longer street legal and will be trailered back and forth to the races and events.
    NOTE: If you plan on removing the factory dpf and exhaust system please check with your local and state government laws before hand.

    One of the best videos for the majority of us that don’t have a fancy garage with a lift and the struggles we go through on our backs using what we have .

    I just finished unplugging my emissions junk and would offer a few things that might make things easier than what is shown in this video. Instead of using a clip remover, all of those clips stick out of the frame on the other side. I just took and hammer and two taps and they were out. Also, for a lot of the plugs, you are better off unclipping them from the frame and they are easier to unplug when they are hanging down! As for the 3 bolts on the existing exhaust pipe, I started spraying them with PB blaster every few days when I would get home from work (doing that to the EGR bolts also)...it stinks up the garage, but it works! I pounded on them a few times with a manual impact tool and hammer and then took a long ratchet and slowly applied pressure and all three came off without breaking! I stopped for tonight and will tackle the front two tomorrow...mine is a 2016 F250.

    Excellent video and great explanation! Just deleted my 15 powerstroke cab and chassis (flatbed) this weekend. Not all of my hangers line up so got to fix that but I’ll figure it out.

  • @jseekell
    @jseekell Před 3 měsíci +1

    Use PB blaster on the rubber hangers and get hanger pliers. They helped. Even after soaking the bolts all night I still had all the flange bolts snap. It’s easier to remove the mid pipe before getting the rear plugs on the DPF. The down pipe frame side bolt was a pain and the rubber hangers next to it.

    • @jseekell
      @jseekell Před 3 měsíci +1

      I’m replying to my own comment, the rubber bushings near the DP are easiest removed by undoing the 2 13mm nuts that attaches the the hanger to frame.
