(4K) MSFS 2022: EXTREME GRAPHICS Flight to St Maarten! Lowest Landing Ever!

- In this video we are flying to the famous St. Maarten airport - Princess Juliana. Get ready to experience the lowest possible landing of the St. Maarten! It is known for its runway located very close to Maho beach. Maho Beach is unusually close to the threshold of a runway and is directly under the flight path, resulting in aircraft on their final approach flying over the beach at altitudes of less than 100 feet (30 m) above ground level. This makes the beach a popular location for photographers and video makers who intend to capture the aircraft approaching the airport.
Today we are flying Boeing 747 - one of the largest airliners that ever landed in St.Maarten. We will taking off from Amsterdam and and enjoy the beautiful city views.
In the end I will try to land the plane as low over the beach as it's possible. The result is impressive!

I am crying with laughter - this is insane. The remix at the end with the call outs, i can't hahaha. You know you're low when the people on the beach can reach up and touch the landing gear. The guy at 13:40 realised he'd just shaken hands with death itself, but thought F**K IT, and carried on dancing.

Seeing the simulation at 5:16 in which a wing hit a building reminded me of something that happened a couple decades ago when I had a stopover in Auckland NZ waiting to get on a flight to LAX at the end of a vacation in Australia. The wing tip of the plane I was supposed to board was hit by the wing tip of another plane. It was announced that our flight would be delayed something like 8 hours (and we weren't allowed to leave the airport) as our plane was pulled out of service. However, I can't recall whether we ended up flying on this plane, or waited until another plane was available.

KLM dismissed all the 747's from their fleet. They only have twin engine airplanes now.

WOW, Incredible! I'm not a pilot (and I'll never be) but all the technical details are amazing. I love how you take your time not only to show the process of the flight but also show geographic details of the area. Just as a personal though. I think that landing was extremely risky. You did touch the barb wire with the landing gear. That could cause a tire to explode or make the plane lost balance in some way. Also you could have killed some folks there. That fence is not that tall 😜 Amazing video!

Great vid. Actually a BA -400 (G-BNLL I think) did hit a building in Johannesburg (JNB/FAOR) some years back. Took the wrong taxiway. The aircraft was scrapped at JNB.

The thing is you will never see a landing this low because the FAA says you need to be 60-50 over the threshold.

The captain's nightmare was pretty bizarre.. the engine melded to the building! I love the passengers.. "Hey, what's going on here?" Uh, look out the window, dude. 😂
With some of these shots you could trick people believing it's actually real footage.
At times it was hard to tell it was a simulation. The quality and other aspects of the light streaming into the cockpit really make it believable. The clear give away it's a sim, is the way it depicts human beings.

Descending below the glideslope is considered poor practice in aviation...surprised that the runway (at least in Flight Sim) doesn't appear to have a VASI (visual approach slope indicator) or, ideally, a PAPI (precision approach path indicator). I understand that at least one captain in real life has been disciplined for a too-low approach (on purpose!) at SXM...
