I have done any diy on my volvos including brakes, timing belt, etc but as a rule I have tried to avoid dealing with fluids like oil, coolant etc. yesterday I broke that rule and did a simple oil change on my 240. What a mess. I will be bringing my 2015 xc70 to the dealer. In the video there is a lift, proper light and a nice big collection tray.

My wife's 2015 V60 T5 2.0L Turbo 4cyl was bought this past fall with 72k mi. Had a fresh oil change at a Volvo dealership with the recommended 0-20 Castrol and tag that said to change oil in 10k mi. I had to add oil after the first 400mi. that she drove it. I added a quart and another 400 mi. later I needed to add another quart. Instead of the recommended oil I put in a quart of Marvle Mystery Oil. After another 400mi. I needed another quart, this time I added a 20% mixture of MMO and oil and she has since driven the car over 800mi and the level is still showing full. All I can think of is that the rings were stuck and the detergent in the Marvel Mystery Oil unstuck them. I will be changing the oil way before the 10k mark. Hope the oil consumption issue get better and doesn't come back.
