Fun fact: there was actually a robbery that went like this in a bank in Argentina in the early 2000s, there is a movie about it called "The Heist of the Century". The robbers were very polite to everyone and they even sang an old lady Happy Birthday since it was her birthday that day and let her go to her family. Some of the customers even verbally defended the robbers after the heist. They were only found because one of the robbers cheated on his wife and she reported him to the police.

First of all, you aren’t harming anyone, so no guilt.
Second, who’s gonna believe that three men came in, befriended a bunch of people, took some money, and danced away?

Even better, everyone suddenly has a bunch of different things on them, like jewelry, or a TV, or something else. All the while there is money missing from the vault. At the end of the day, the people who will look most like robbers will be the people originally in the bank, who will look like they are trying to shift the blame elsewhere, since they don't want to lose all their stuff, and while' hiding' the rest of the money. The actual robbers will make a clean get away since they were never on scene, and are normally quite good people, and the actual victims are clearly the ones earning from all this.

One thing that never seems to get any appreciation is just how talented SNL's camera team is. If you look at how they shoot this entire skit, they really do an amazing job with the suspense and picking out the best vantage points for character development over such a short time scale.

They shot the security camera's before they did that, so I guess it was not completely stupid? lol

Faces are mostly unreliable. Easiest thing to do would be to cut ear holes in the hood wear fake skin to change the shape of your ears, do the same with your nose and the where color contacts in order to give you all diffrent facial feature this way if someone was to pull of your mask or caught a look at you with out your mask on your way out they would not be able to identify you. The reason for the ears is because cops often use that as a great way to identify someone based of there looks.

@@doghut It was a poorly written joke but I'm assuming the point is that there is a lack of urgency of the caller (i.e taking 2 hours to finally call the police) because they are not completely intent on getting the robbers in trouble because of the polite way they were treated.
