Jason Momoa is absolutely hilarious. This sketch is super creepy, but he was all in, and he made it work.

The show is so much better when the host actually cares and puts effort in. It's so terrible when a host is obviously reading lines and not trying to act. He's one of the better guests they've had on recently.

Adama Driver is another great, recent SNL host- especially in his oil baron sketch. He really puts his heart into the sketches much like the energy of Jason.
Momoa's enthusiasm was palpable and contagious... its too bad his acting abilities weren't equal to his desire to do well. His line readings were poor in the live sketches, and he missed his cues several times. He may have just been really nervous - I'd like to see him host again to see if he improves; there's no denying how into it he was!
"Now let me see how handsome you are...yea that's very nice....good". That is one of the funniest scenarios ever written into a sketch

This skit was so great. Jason Mamoa has the excitement of a child but as a relentless older dad. Funny.

And you're right, it's flawless. You constantly hear people say things like, "SNL hasn't been funny for years!" Which is totally bs, they've had a STRONG cast, and writers for 8-9 years now, and she's definitely one of the best. The women on that show are killing it, that's for sure.
When they let Kyle and Beck play in the absurd, greatness happens.

Just look at his hyperloop project that got downgraded into a 2 mile one way deathtrap even though it was supposed to be a way for cost efficient super fast travel.
