Trailmakers is about building very awesome vehicles and machines, but you don’t need an engineering degree to get started. The intuitive builder will get you going in no time. Everything you build is made from physical building blocks. Each block has unique features like shape, weight and functionality. They can be broken off, refitted and used to build something new. Individually the blocks are fairly simple, but combined the possibilities are endless.
Expedition Mode is the challenging campaign mode of Trailmakers. You are competing in an off-world rally expedition with only a few building blocks to get you started. You must build, tinker with and rebuild your machine to progress. Journey through a big world, overcome deep gorges, angry wildlife and dangerous weather to progress and find new parts that will juice up your machine. The world in Expedition Mode will test your survival skills and ingenuity.
Sandbox Mode is where you want to head for an unrestricted, sandbox, vehicle-building experience. Here you can build anything you can dream of, and play around with it in the world of Trailmakers. It is a great place to test out crazy machines, and experiment with the physics engine. With tons of different blocks, hinges, thrusters and interactive vehicle parts - the skybox is the limit.
Trailmakers is even more fun if you play it with other people. Build cool vehicles and compete in mini-game modes with your friends or other Trailmakers online. Build a helicopter, send it to your friend, and shoot them out of the sky. Put two seats on a tank, and let your friend control the turret. As we get further in Early Access development Expedition Mode will also be adapted to multiplayer.

@@PaladinCasdin Since I first started, it was Yzuei and Scrapman. The first vid I watched from Scrapman, that featured Yzuei, was making a plane that had 700/700 Complexity, and then duking them out

Trailmakers is always better at 3+ players, and it's nice to see Kan back! Maybe time for some Evolution challenges with the blocks from the last couple of expansions?

They put all into health and defence and some in attack other wise the rest of the stats are 0. Thats what the Maus is

I thought of a concept for ya. Battleship versus Artillery. The artillery cannons have to be on the little island by the arena on danger island. Battleship is trying to destroy the artillery cannons as many times as possible before they get disabled. Person with the hishest score wins.

Fwiw : the quick repair goes away when the seat on the vehicle is destroyed.
I'm not 100% sure but I believe the transformation hotbar allows you to spawn in vehicles :
in build mode hover over a creation, hold R and press 1-4 to assign the creation to one of the slots,
then outside of build mode you can hold R and press 1-4 again to transform to that slot.
When playing myself I constantly use that and to be honest I'm surprised I've never seen it used once in your videos
Can you try making a plane or car go over the speed of sound using seats as the only aerodynamic pieces?
This might be too easy, but maybe some other challenge like this where the seats are utilized for aerodynamics.

I just remembered vehicle damage in scrap mechanic used to be if you lose one piece your creation explodes.

Yeah... But the Shermans would've won, due to the Maus being slow, and the Shermans being like ants: 5 Shermans were used to take on many German tanks, and there was always a 6th one

They were showing the OP tank in the start and i noticed it looks like a Pz. VIII (Maus), and then they activated all the guns and my jaw metaphorically hit the ground with the sheer absurdity of it all
here are 2 ideas for the next video: 1. a plane but everything is asymetric 2. all in vehicule i mean a plane boat submarine and car in one vehicule

Hey Scrapman!!! You guys should find a map with a really long down hill slope and do a armored soapbox derby race (no engine just rolling) to the bottom while shooting at each other with the different guns!
I love that their idea of an OP tank is literally just the Maus
Build a spleef arena thats similar to the game "Obey". It will be several traditional spleef cars vs one large cannon. The cannon is held up by a few pillars which the driving team have to cut out in order to make the cannon fall. Basically, like playing "long live the king" the main cannon can probably turn the cars spudgun off by shooting a switch on the top, and the only way to turn it back on is to drive over a colorsensor back at the start. The game ends when the king falls. Youll probably need a few obstacles for the cars to hide behind
I think it would be cool to see an all-terrain over-powered battle. Definitely some logistics to figure out but I think that could be really cool. Maybe even just an all-terrain battle. Maybe on Treasure Island or the campaign map?

I know most people don’t know this but the strong tank is based off of the maus
i'd like to see a tournament using past challenges and making new vehicles for them
you guys haven't done logic based tank steering in a while, is it not worth it even on tanks? it might help in challenges w/ block count limits
also, using the transformation assigning could help deal with the repair glitch. keep up the great content!
I want to see what you all would do if you each tried to make terrifying vehicles against each other, just as most overpowered as possible
i believe the op tank was made by taking inspiration from hte super heavy tank "Panzerkampfwagen VIII" Or how people call it "the Maus"

Imagine if they were able to get a ton of people together and did an overpowered team challenge. Like a team of two people in the overpowered build with like 4 other plays attacking. You'd need 6 people but it would be fun to watch!

Suggestion put very different challenges on a wheel. (E.G. submarine rescue, drag race, longest glider in air)
Spin the wheel and build a vehicle for that challenge, do the challenge.
Afterwards spin the wheel again, take the same vehicle and fit it up for the new purpose, limiting how much of the old vehicle can be removed to be just enough to remove problematic stuff like gyros.
Block limits suggestion:
R1 100
R2 150, can remove 25 from the old creation
R3 200, can remove 50 from the old creation
Having to redesign stuff for a new purpose will surely bring put the best designers!
Can't wait for the devs to add in actual tank treads/tank tracks.

So just a question but what is stopping him from hiding the serve between some wedges and building the turret as normal or just making sure the turret doesn't have connection points on the bottom and lowering the servo into the tank. Seems like it would fix the "looking stupid" problem and make the turret safer.

The mega tank definitely looks like the Mause. Yzuei does like to make real world vehicles.
Overpowered mechs, the op mech has shields protecting he body and head ( body includes arms and legs ), the arms go up down left and right and forwards and backwards with pistons and have miniguns and smart cannons
