Trailmakers is about building very awesome vehicles and machines, but you don’t need an engineering degree to get started. The intuitive builder will get you going in no time. Everything you build is made from physical building blocks. Each block has unique features like shape, weight and functionality. They can be broken off, refitted and used to build something new. Individually the blocks are fairly simple, but combined the possibilities are endless.
Expedition Mode is the challenging campaign mode of Trailmakers. You are competing in an off-world rally expedition with only a few building blocks to get you started. You must build, tinker with and rebuild your machine to progress. Journey through a big world, overcome deep gorges, angry wildlife and dangerous weather to progress and find new parts that will juice up your machine. The world in Expedition Mode will test your survival skills and ingenuity.
Sandbox Mode is where you want to head for an unrestricted, sandbox, vehicle-building experience. Here you can build anything you can dream of, and play around with it in the world of Trailmakers. It is a great place to test out crazy machines, and experiment with the physics engine. With tons of different blocks, hinges, thrusters and interactive vehicle parts - the skybox is the limit.
Trailmakers is even more fun if you play it with other people. Build cool vehicles and compete in mini-game modes with your friends or other Trailmakers online. Build a helicopter, send it to your friend, and shoot them out of the sky. Put two seats on a tank, and let your friend control the turret. As we get further in Early Access development Expedition Mode will also be adapted to multiplayer.

Not really. The target is highly armored with a forward & rear defender. The supersonic jet has to maintain supersonic speeds on the attack vector, meaning wide passes and time to bamboozle the defenders by coming in where they aren't looking. Not to mention, the jet can use two of whatever weapon they want to make up for the long times between passes. I have a more complete rundown of requirements on previous trailmakers videos.

Really want a video where scrapman uses his experiment knowledge in a competition, like i wanted him to build the plane and use the bomb cannon design.

Yzuei builds are straight up art
For some reason nobody in the video comments how yzuei litteraly built a giant bird plane using the cockpit as eyes and with articulated wings, tails etc that actually meaningfully move. That's nuts, scrapman and the guys just go "oh cool" and then just play it casually

Putting Yzuei as the "plane guy" and Scrapman as the "Tank guy" was really smart, like, that's what they excel at already!
Sad that JB and Patches were getting so many lagspikes, they crashed a lot because of them, still crazy that they actually fully disabled Scrapman's tank instead of it being flipped over

Scrapman's designs are too bulky and only recently has he learned how to make a maneuverable and quick plane AFTER making a whole series on the plane dlc
Yzuei has always shown to make good planes that are not only very functional (and complex!) but also very pretty and/or even realistic ones
@@bbittercoffeei agree. His planes are often too bulky or slow to be as effective as they could be. The best interceptors and dogfighters are maneuverable above all else.
I love how even if it's down to random chance Scrapman and Yzuei will always somehow end up together
The constant crashing of jb and patches makes scrapman look like an amazing gunner like "incoming" scrapman opens up and a second later you see a plane spinning out of control and crashing in an epic looking way

2 vs 2 is interesting, like to see more of it.
The design of Yzuei's bird bomber put an idea in my head: what would one of these Attackers vs Defenders videos look like if both teams were using "low tech" vehicles?
The attack vehicles can use bomb bays, but they have to fly without using any propulsion blocks. Meanwhile, the ground vehicles can use propulsion blocks, but their defenses would be strictly limited to firing at the attackers with dispenser block items (snowballs, metal crates, etc.)
Actually, I'm listening with my 7.1 headphones, and it seems easy to tell where the bombs are coming from. This might be a valid strategy to turn up your game volume and carefully predict where they land. This might be some sort of idea for an audio focused video...
keep in mind that not everyone has 7.1

maybe a similar idea with 2v2 planes vs ground vehicles, but one team makes planes and the other makes ground vehicles, teammates swap with eachother, then teams swap with the other team and teammates swap again for 4 rounds like this one was. This brings in the fact you'd have to make vehicles you expect to go up against, while also being good enough to use.
When you do something like this again, you should give bonus time if you shoot down a plane, 10 seconds added to final time per plane shot down. Gives incentive to the aircraft to also be careful.
That, or forcing a respawn point for the aircraft. That would be easier and still allow not needing editing or tallying for determining time
For the sake of content though it's nice to get right back into the fight asap.
There’s something charming about scrap man and yzui not shooting at each other because you get a better look at his style based builds.
My suggestion: a team tank battle. Each tank has 2 seats: driver and gunner. Main gun is either the big cannon or the gunpowder cannon (no auto aim guns) and they have a coaxial gun that is the pre-airborne rapid fire gun. I dont know what block limit would make decent tanks, but there should be a block and power core limit as well.
Both players of the team have to make their own version of the tank and winner is decided in a 7-ish round (more rounds more fun?) match. Each time a tank is destroyed, you swap designs from your team and the players swap roles (driver is now gunner, etc). No resets for the victorious tank between rounds! You keep your battle damage!
Example: Team 1 starts with player 1's tank, Team 2 'kills' it so now Team 1 has to use Player 2's tank, and Team 2 has to keep their tank as is with no repairs. First team to 4 (or more if fun) 'kills' is the winner.

Can you guys do an evolution where you cannot change anything about the previous build except for adding blocks? So you can’t change controls, can’t move any blocks, can’t remove any blocks, etc. I feel like it would be fun because you have to make something good but also make the controls a little bit wonky so that the other players have a disadvantage if they get yours.

An idea for next video:
1 guy builds a transport vehicle to transport ( something) 2 guy is on the same team as guy 1 and has to build an AA vehicle to protect g1, guy 3 builds a plane (you decide the limits)

Here's an idea for another 2v2 game I had.
Each team has one person build a small fighter plane and the other builds a much larger heavy plane, maybe like cargo plane style. The goal is to take out the other team's large plane while also protecting your own. The fighter plane is allowed to keep respawning as long as whats essentially their "capital ship" plane is still flying but once the capital ship gets taken down the fighter plane is on its last life, and once both players are taken down the other team wins.
The idea you guys did right at the end looks fun, how about a group tank battle with the cannons

Well, there is quite some potential in the 2v2 stuff, especially if either one or both teams control one vehicle together. I really enjoyed that aspect of the video(s)
Stuff like:
2-person tank-battles
2-person plane-battles
we also didn´t have something with ships in a while (i think), so why not 2-person ship-battles?
Especially the "1 pilot - 1 gunner" -system makes it feel different to just "free4all"-matches/races

More 2-man vehicle videos. ship v ship, tank v tank, submarine v submarine even, maybe, if it's fun. If you can get more people, can potentially do a 2v2v2 with 3 tanks total. Cooperative challenges are rather fun to watch, especially the strategic layer of coordinating with your partner.
How about you a 2v2 with a similar idea. Where a ground vehicle tries to survive from 3 bombers, but the vehicle team should have a defenseless car and a attack plane to take down the bombers.
*summary: team 1, weaponless car and attack plane.
Team 2, two bomber planes ( possibly having one smart cannon for defense.)
Yzuei's plane is so cool! It looks amazing and it looks like it controls really well too!

What a fun competition!
Hovertank vs aircraft.
Water map, one team in a hover tank armed with their choice of dual rocket launchers, dual miniguns, or quad smart cannons vs two fighter bombers outfitted with both a bombing bay AND a smart cannon.
The increase in ground based firepower is to account for the fact that the fighter bombers can chip away with their smart cannons in addition to big hits with their bombs, so defensive fire is much more important.
Maybe allow a mix of weapons on the hover tank (EG 1 minigun 1 rocket launcher) if you want to experiment a bit.
I would like to see a 2v2 where you guys are having a jet plane battle where one person is the pilot and the other person is the gunner and you are allowed first person only. You guys also have only a 175 block maximum. I feel like that would be a fun video to watch
I'd love to see this sort of thing visited again, but with planes that can be destroyed in a few hits. Like if there's TNT in a few places to represent fueltanks/ammo/bombs.

Idea: A race where you can't go below a set speed, but also not above a different speed
How about this.
Moving fortress vs Attackers.
The fortress can either be a giant car/truck/walker for land based or a battleship for sea based.
The Fortress obviously have a ton of guns for defense except for the rockets. It also has a lot of armor to tank the hits.
The Attackers are obviously flying vehicles that have rockets and bombs to break the Fortress's defense.
It is timed and it will be over until the Fortress is destroyed
Edit: If it is air based then do a massive plane that also has a ton of guns

Scrapmans car was by far the best build in this video surviving 4 minutes without a minigun and 12 minutes with one and pilots crashing every 2 seconds

Also, Scrapman and Yzuei on the same team = success as it is form/redundancy and function on the same team. And love Scrapman's and Yzuei's builds

you should try to see if you could make guns fire faster with pistons like the rockets and cannons
Maybe instead of having a landcraft with an inbuilt turret, what about crafting a landcraft and a turret separatly everyone will have someone else's turret on their craft and make it a free for all or a 2v2 but each turn we exchange turret ( that can be booby trapped but must be able to shoot without destroying the vehicule below).
You should do something similar, but each build a part of the vehicle (one the turrets and the other the ground vehicle and vice versa one the plane and the second a turret for the plane) limiting the parts of the 2 constructions so it would become a 2 v2 . But with that everyone is on only 2 vehicles

I have a idea for you:there is a specific mod that you may like in teardown specifically driveable mech/exosuit where there is 2 mechs/exosuits:the one which is a default one which has some great advantages and you can use first person in the mech since its full glass on the point of view your on,another one which is a mining mech that you cn hold/click "SHIFT" to drill and using the mouse to control the arm which is left click for left arm to move and right click for the right arm and probably both for a slam instead of punch and if i am correct,the one where you can grab objects would be the same? And the new creative mode update can give you the ability to armoured the default one. Just don't over do the materials or they will give one issue:the joints will get stuck from the material you may use
Next time you should do boats vs kamikaze planes. It would be funny watching the pilot respawn every time he misses.
Everytime i see scrapmans vids it cheers me up i hope u can do offroader vs bomber but offroader uses rocket launchers but the bombers are helicopters

You should do this but with planes. One will be the gunner, the other will be the pilot. 2v2 like that. Edit: for extra difficulty have one, or both, be in first person.

You should do the inverse where a couple of tanks try to take down a plane (a cool location would be both tanks at the top of the mountains of the Danger Zone map while the plane does figure eights around them)
The shadows of that plane were pretty awesome, even more bird like.
This was such a good gamemode
it would be crazy if you did a 3v1 in 1 plane 3 seats in the plane: pilot, gunner, bomber, and 1 driver trying to escape while driving and manning a gun.

I think it would be pretty cool to see a build challenge with planes using your bomb launchers. I have an A10 that uses four of those modules to replicate RCL’s. For those who don’t know what an RCL is I’d suggest looking up some gameplay of an SU33 flanker using RCL’s in ace combat 6: fires of liberation.

Ooo, I got an idea, 2 teams of 2 people. One player is on the ground and tries to last as long as possible, the other team has one player on the ground trying to destroy that player and another player in the air trying to do the same. The first persons teammate is in the air trying to defend against the enemy team. I'll leave the balancing and tweaking to whoever want to do this cause idk how.

I have an idea for a video. What if somebody builds a truck with some sort of thing in the back (can be whatever object you want of your choice) with the goal of transporting it and dropping it off at a location (also of your choice) with one person flying a plane or car defending the truck, with 2 others also in a plane, (or car, or both) trying to stop the truck. It's just the basic rules, but if you guys like this idea you can change it up and mold it to whatever fits.
Scrapman omg you guys should do a similar thing as in this video except with boats firing enhanced powder cannons or rockets, another idea is do a zeppelin or balloon craft versus a armoured truck, where the zeppelin craft has both bombs and guns and the armoured car has a power core limit :D

Team cargo defenders where one team defend a cargo carrier that drives itself around in lap on map while another team tries destroy cargo it carries. Who ever have most laps completed wins.
