DIY Electric Fireplace / Wall Transformation; Part 1

We are so excited to finally get to build our fireplace! We purchased an affordable electric fireplace from Amazon (see link below). The one we chose is certainly not the fanciest or most realistic but it will be perfect for us. We built the frame for the stone and an internal frame to house the actual fireplace. Once the frame was complete and secured to the wall, we cut and attached the fiber board that the stone will affix to. We purchased the Yukon Stack Slate Ledger Panels for $9.89 sq ft from Floor and Decor. The process went rather smoothly… until it didn’t! 🤣 Once we started applying the rock, it got a little crazy! But in the end, the fireplace looks AWESOME! We love it! Our next step is to built a feaux beam mantle and some shelving so watch out for Part 2!
