In the past, the metal gods have visited us in the form of mostly guys dressed in black who sometimes looked questionable. :) Today they honor us in the form of 5 ladies, elegantly dressed in white and heels. 😇 And yes, I agree with you on a number of points. The moment these ladies put their own stamp on their music with their creativity and talent, they left their role models and influences miles behind. This applies not only to Lovebites and their kind of music, but also to some other bands. And it is only logical as this is the only way they have any chance of attracting attention. If they rested on what others have already done in the past, everyone would just call them a lame copy. That's why I never get tired of mentioning the talent and creativity of bands like this and respect them for that. 🔥🤘🏻

"WE ARE BAAAACK !!!" (Asami)
This was the first song of the first performance after an almost two year hiatus, and the first ever with new bassist Fami. They were all happy to be back on stage and to show "LOVEBITES 2.0" with much new energy and enthusiasm. Fami added some momentum, too. Her smile is contagious! They did two shows in March 2023, that resulted in two live albums (2CD/DVD/Blu-ray) "Knockin' At Heaven's Gate", released in August and December 2023.
Best netal band today, Elite musicians, they make it look effortless,
2024 is special to me. This may be Iron Maiden's final tour... end of an era. If nothing happened in Metal it'd be the final chapter in my 30+ years Metal fan life, sad but understandable -- all things come to an end. I like new bands, but none reignited that passion IM gave me.
Except Lovebites came to my life and assured me Iron Maiden (and other awesome Metal bands from my youth) will live forever. They're the past, present and future of Metal combined, and more.
No one can replace IM... but the way I see it, Lovebites are a natural continuation of what they did. These girls, they're Iron Maidens... 🤘🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🤘

Man, everytime someone writes about how petite they are, I have a giggle.
I saw them live. Yes they're delicate and petite. But somehow, on stage, they're GIANTS. Haruna is... how can I define her? Let's say I witnessed a typhoon on a shipyard in Ehime, Japan, many years ago. I literally prayed for my life. That's the kind of power Harupi has😅
@@wampabites Haruna is indeed phenomenal, with subtly so as to contribute immeasurably while appearing 'casual'. It is my perception that she is "conductor" with her precision 'cues' and relentless 'platform' for the others to build upon. I am a drummer who has followed drummers since Ginger Baker, John Bonham, Mitch Mitchell, Bill Ward, Ian Paice, etc... I wonder if any of those masters could have played Haruna's part in even one LOVEBITES song! I am consistently mesmerized & grateful for her powerful drumming & gentle 'persona'.

I still maintain the version with Miho and The Awakening intro is best version, but i must admit Asami has improved her diction and sings the hell out of it on the above version. Anyone agree with that ???
I beg to differ on Miho. Grant it she is phenomenal bassist. However, Fami has put her on spin on it, and it sounds equally impressive . In essence, you can not compare the two! As for Asami's diction, you are correct. However, her progression is ongoing! It must be noted when giving interviews in English that her diction is very good!
You nicely summed up what a lot of us felt when we first heard this band. I've listened to a whole lot of other, very big metal bands that play in the same styles that Lovebites plays and ... Lovebites is just better. The last time I was this excited about a band was when a friend turned me on to Rush, way back in 1980!
