Ren is his own human metronome, he said that his beatboxing helps create counter melodies, rhythm and flows and rapping is like a drum kit and singing is like a cello the closest thing to a human voice but he explains it far better than I just did lol.

Describing the day he fell into psychosis at 25 from reaction to another treatment.
This was the most recent song written for the album. He has bern sick and in pain for 13 years.
PLEASE don’t ever, EVER apologize for pausing, going back, getting emotional … It’s everything that makes Ren Ren; it’s everything that art is supposed to do: Evoke feelings and create a space for dialogue. For me it’s “ PAIN… condescending “ because it is applicable to everyone who has suffered, regardless of what type of pain it is- it’s often in silence and often alone. Ren has made many of us feel seen, heard , and understood in ways that any medical “professional “ has , and even more than those closest to us.
This was the last track Ren wrote for Sick Boi- and along with MG3 it was written while he was undergoing treatment in Canada. It opens with his eulogy in Welsh and then begins with the day when, having moved back home, his mother found him on the kitchen floor “clawing at the laminate “ and it’s when, having gone through treatments for things unrelated to his actual disease, he fell into a state of psychosis. It goes through all the things he felt back then and even now. His lyrics “ Thirty-three and hurting, cursing” “Gears are turning, future stays uncertain” “ Runnin' from the silhouette of self-doubt

Ren has a unique gift for putting deep, REAL lyrics over a catchy beat. I (a nurse) have caught myself at work humming "murderer," or "suicide, suicide, suicide." 😳🤣
Ren is a genius, but more importantly, he is a hard working genius.

Yes, it is indeed Welsh and roughly translates to:

This song is probably my fave. The pain and bed parts are my life story, and it’s true, he sings what I can’t figure out how to explain to people. I love the welsh at the beginning as well.
Ren is a genius and this is the perfect opening track to the Sick Boi album with little references to paint a picture of what’s to come while it’s already a masterpiece all on its own.
Also please please please check out his song Crutch feat. Bibi. I have no doubt you will love it. It is something very special and very different than everything else he has done.

I agree- even tho he has been such a hit on YT and to an extent in the album charts- there are still a lot of people out there who should get to hear him who havnt.
“Gee whiskers” 🐈 😂. I know! How does Ren fit so much in a relatively short amount of time. Mind blowing 🤯. Ren gets many of us leaking from our eyeballs. It’s the connection. He is so honest and has such a gift with conveying what he has gone through and deep messages to think about. All hitting deep into our hearts and consciousness. Amazing! Brilliant! So many layers. Every time I listen to this track it hits at another deeper level.

This is one of my favorites from Ren. I guess I can say that about most of his songs, but this one says it all. I deal with pain, both physical pain and mental pain, having my husband pass away 3 years ago. All of which sent me into a downward spiral. Ren, never disappoints. All of his songs are great and he seems to be able to, so eloquently, get his story across. I this musicians come and go, but Ren is here to stay. ❤❤

Ren does play drums. He was playing drums for The Big Push when they started out, but according to Ren, he is not a very good drummer (I'm skeptical of that), and so they got Glen to be their drummer.
I've seen him drumming in a couple videos. He wasn't just being modest. He looks awkward just laying down a basic rock beat. That's not to say he doesn't have excellent rhythm and tempo as a musician, or that he couldn't gain skill and confidence on the drums with practice. But it is to say that I'm glad that they found Glenn in 2018.
You were one of the first reactors I saw reacting on Hi Ren (somewhere April last year) just after I was blown away by it.

I'm obsessed with Seven Sins atm - my brain connects to the pain element so hard! I wasn't too keen on it when the album first released, because it wasnt Masochist. You're right though, the flow changes makes it seem like you're listening to different songs. Fucking love this!

I always look so forward to your Ren reactions. You bring something different...there's a lot of reactors...I just don't know if they're reacting to Ren as the flavor of the week and because they know Renegades will follow, and I doubt the sincerity of their praise. Never have that with you. As much as I wish you'd react to Ren more frequently (get through the Sick Boi album and then start hitting his back catalog and collabs and Big Push), I like that you go at your pace and just dole it out every 5 or 6 weeks. It's like a wonderful little torture.

Math might be the universal language for scientific minds but, Music is the Universal Language of the Human Spirit. I can't do complex math problems but, I can listen to any artist perform music and understand what they are feeling, regardless of spoken language. Music is an unstoppable force. Ren wields it like a weapon in the hands of a well trained and battle scarred warrior. If you were not moved by him, I couldn't watch your videos. There would be no reason to do so. When I watch reactors like yourself who feel things so deeply and have such an appreciation of Ren's creativity and message, I WISH you had taken part in the Money Game riddles because you would have got so much out of it!! It was like nothing else I have ever experienced. The descriptions of the seven sins were used in the riddles to introduce each game. All leading to the final impact!

I luv your Ren reactions! Have you seen My Grave by Paleface? I saw them live a few months back and I cried when they started My Grave (my fav on the newest album), and I realized a LOT of the crowd around me did too!
Ren speaks my heart. I'm disabled and in pain every day. I get so much encouragement and validation from his music. Also, about you finding yourself jamming to the music & then realizing the words. I think Ren does this on purpose. Think about Jenny & Screech...a couple of the most amazing bars are when Screech reached for his knife & when Violet is being beaten. I think that ability is what makes it hard to stop and recognize what's really happening. It's reflective of real life and how we often gloss over the worst of the world around us.
