The Chopin piece Miyako (guitar/keyboards) is playing in the intro is "Etude OP10, No. 12" known as the "Revolutionary Etude."
In 1831, some officers and citizens rose up against the Polish government, which was under the de facto control of the Russian Empire, in what was called the "November Revolution" but ended in failure due to the direct intervention of Russian troops. Chopin received this news during a performance tour. He never set foot on the soil of his homeland again. When the Russians invaded Warsaw, Chopin's agent presented "Etude OP10, No. 12" in Paris. Because of the agent's exaggerated publicity, people called this piece "Revolutionary Etude.
Miyako composed "Swan Song" based on this "Revolutionary Etude" and Dvorak's "New World Symphony.
Asami (vocalist), a former ballerina, wrote the lyrics based on the historical background of "Revolutionary Etude" and inspired by Norse mythology and the ballet suite "Swan Lake.
"SwanSong" is a requiem dedicated to the warriors who fought to reclaim their homeland, a masterpiece that only LOVEBITES could complete.

I was never really into metal. However, I was shocked by the high musicality and performance technique of "Swan Song" and became a fan of LOVEBITES.
I am always posting this text in the hope that many people will better understand this masterpiece.

@@ahodori-dl5hz I've been a metal head for well over 55 years, and it's mainly because metal has some of the best musicians in the world. I'm also a big fan of classical, and other music genre's with super talented musicians.
This song is an emotional roller coaster.
Each stage takes it to higher level than the previous.
Wave after wave, it's awesome. The composition and musicianship are the best!
How many people on the planet could do what Miyako just did in this song? Perhaps a dozen? Probably less?
I consider it a privilege to be able to experience her talent.

LOVEBITES was formed in 2016 by Miho(Ba) and Haruna(Dr), members of the band "DESTROSE", which went on hiatus in 2015.
The girls made their major label debut in 2017 (March 24) with "THE LOVEBITES EP".
On 18 June 2018, LOVEBITES won 'BEST NEW BAND' at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods 2018 awards organised by the British metal magazine METAL HAMMER.
On 4 August, LOVEBITES performed on the W.E.T stage at WACKEN OPEN AIR 2018, one of the world's largest annual metal festivals in Germany, with the 10,000 capacity venue almost full.
"Bloodstack open air 2018(Aug. 10)" also participated.
On August 20,2018, LOVEBITES announced that it has partnered with X-ray Touring, one of the largest players in the UK booking agent industry.
LOVEBITES toured the Netherlands, Germany, France and UK from November 13-21, 2018.
Asami (Vo) of LOVEBITES appeared as a guest on stage at Halestorm "Download Japan 2019(March 21)", singing alongside "Lzzy" Hale on Halestorm's 'Love Bites', which gave the band their name.
I participated in "dowload Festival 2019(June 15)".

The remaining girls organised an audition for a new bassist from around the world and recruited a new bassist called Fami(Ba).
Fami is a five-string bassist who can dance, sing and play and has 678,000 CZcams subscribers.

best way to compare Miho and Fami is this live song compared to the live when Miho did it The Awakening/Hammer of Wrath. I noticed Fami and Midori do the same thing during Miyako's solo that Miho and Midori did.

Every on stage move they did at Knockin’ at Heavens Gate was the same as they did at FOAK. The raising of the guitars, Fami and Midori playing off each other during Miyako’s solo, Fami/Miho coming up front when the guitars drop out, all of that was the same. What makes this big for Fami is that it’s the first song of the set of the biggest show she’s ever played, which is why you saw all of them a lot more interactive. Miyako was getting the crowd going from the start, as well as after her solo.
The best way to compare Miho and Fami is by tone and sound of the bass, not physical talent. Miho’s sound, while not exactly thin, sounds a lot like Frank Bello (Anthrax) or Steve Harris (Iron Maiden), while Fami’s sound is beefy and thick, like Geezer Butler (Black Sabbath) with fuzz/distortion, or Rob Trujillo.
This is a metal masterpiece, plain and simple. This was the Miyako Show.

Hands down, Miyako is the GOAT. Whether it be performing a piano recital in Tokyo Hall, shredding the guitar with Lovebites (or 21g, or A Drop of Joker, or Sonic Lover Reckless), being what I assume to be an amazing mother, or arranging/composing much of Lovebites catalogue, Miyako can do it all!

The problem with listening to Lovebites as a reactor is you deprive yourself of enjoying a phenomenal catalogue. There are just too many great songs and wonderful moments with the ladies to wait and discover them in drips and drabs. You can literally listen to one song repeatedly and discover something wonderful and beautiful you missed before. Now imagine that times their 50 or so songs. Even just know, I noticed something new with Haruna's accents, and I've probably hear this song over a hundred times. Keep at it though, definitely worth every minute.

My favorite band in the world. The talent, the beauty of their songs. Any one of their live DVD performances you can literally pick out any one of them to listen to, because the sound is so good, and listen just to them, and be amazed at their skill and what you're hearing. Never gets old. I really enjoyed your reaction. This is one of their masterpieces to be sure, along with Frozen Serenade, but I love it when they go hard into the paint too, with something like Thunder Vengeance or Break the Wall. Just my favorite band. They pulled inspiration from all different places in the history of metal, play it flawlessly and make it their own, and put Asami in there and create perfection. I subscribed in case you check out some more form them (recommended, and I hope you do!).

Every time a reactor mentions the singer having such a powerful voice I keep remembering that she (Asami) is only 4'-10" tall and still has that booming vocal ability! And the tallest at 5'-2" is Miyako, piano player/guitarist! The drummer (Haruna) is killing it and only 4'-9"! They all wear heals except Haruna! They are so awesome to me and I love they have such passion in their playing!

The great achievement of Lovebites is that they brought beauty to heavy metal and I'm not talking of their personal beauty (which there is), I'm talking of musical beauty. They are so heavy and at the same time their music is light like a bird, it really lifts me up every single time I hear them and sometimes I want to cry for joy.
I have to admit that I am not a huge Lovebites fan.
I just never heard a song that stuck with me, until now. I really like this one. The melody is beautiful and I absolutely love the guitars. The "Piano Sandwich Song" might just be the song that gets me into them ❤😂
I'd suggest one of the live "Edge Of The World" performances. Starts as a beautiful ballad then slowly progresses into more classic heavy metal near the end. (turn on closed captions, too, the lyrics are worth following)
And "Frozen Serenade" live is another of their songs that you might like. In my opinion, it is a masterpiece. Classical Piano, Spanish Guitar and even ballet in a Power Metal song. What makes you emotional, bro, might be the overwhelming touch of this special kind of interpreting music in certain a female way, this "artistic natural force" - classical & metal. . . - everything is getting an unknown depth and width we as normally male audience are used to experience . . .
Not only are the songs and performances wonderful, but by coincidence, the lyrics overlap with the Russian-Ukrainian war, making it even more sentimental.
