@@khujogoodiezone1 Realer than it's EVER gonna get, Brother Khujo. Let me please tell you: Soul Food is a top 10 rap album of all time for me. And I'm from Brooklyn, NY (Where yall thought we wasn't down with you. NOT TRUE. Just some clowns at the source awards don't speak for us all) and I been in this hip hop thing since 1987 When I seen the Runs house video and went crazy as a little boy. Maybe even top 7. And your verse on "fighting" is one of the greatest of all time. And get this: "Fighting" is one of the GOAT rap songs (My personal favorite from Soul Food). I think that verse is one of the REALEST and most personal verses for those that could have understood what you were talking about and the stress and pain you put forward in that one (Bushwick Bill's mind playing tricks on me being the GOAT!!!!) was something else. The words you brothers spoke on that album was gospel, man. I truly appreciate the timeless art you shared with the world. And I meant every word I just said. I humbly thank you, Sir.
I left a comment on the last interview with B High and Khujo Goodie appreciated what i had to say. Like i said in my last comment a year or two ago. me and my college homies met him at the Backbone video shot at the West End Mall parking lot and he was cool and down to earth and approached us we was like damn what up Khujo like we personal knew him and he was dropping gems on us back in 2001 the same he speaking now. i was 18 years old at the time and now im 37 and remembered everything he told to us about keeping faith and don't get backtracked on life. foreal foreal i was excited because i always been a big fan of the whole Dungeon Family and i was putting dudes in my high school (Woodlawn High School) in Birmingham, AL on Goodie Mob hell they called me and my three homies the goodie mob dudes. they called me Gipp bc my voice deep and foreal foreal my homeboy son middle name is Khujo due to Khujo Goodie and im dead ass serious. 100

My big brothers saved my life back then and don't even know it. I used to sing my heart out in churches in Alabama, but my heart was hurting. People didn't know how depressed I was because I hide it behind a smile and tried to make them laugh. Their music was one of the things I could listen to and help get me through. The real Soul Food is what they gave us. The power of the tongue can build or destroy.
His work on that album, PERIOD. When I was a child, I thought like one. His flow wasn't "pretty" and it could be MISTAKEN that he was off beat. But listening to Soul Food as an adult (Although I still enjoyed it as a young'n) is a whole nother experience, and it's truly iconic and music that has and will NEVER AGE. They lyrics, flow, beats and overall direction of this album is ridiculous. I won't get into who's who and comparisons with other amazing Artists, but you better believe Soul Food is up there, and Khujo's performance on it is one of the most underrated hip hop secrets.
