- Khujo stopped by Hot 1079 to chop it up with B High about his new single "Blame It On Me". During the convo Khujo talked about creating southern classic "Soul Food" with the Goodie Mob and Organized Noize. He also discussed overcoming the loss of part of his leg in a car accident, 2pac playing "Hit Em Up" for the Goodie, and more. Side Note- That really is Khujo in the comments talking to the people! Make sure yall subscribe to his page for the latest on what he got goin on 1000
Man Soul Food resignated so much with us cats in the DC area too. I remember fall 95 I was bumping that Soul Food joint and Raekwon's first joint interchangeably. Years later I put Soul Food on in the car driving out of town with then my girlfriend who was from Tampa. Pumped it up and we both began reciting the album line for line. It was like "What you know bout Goodie?" "Shoot what YOU know bout Goodie?" Never forgot that day. This year we celebrated 14 years of marriage and Soul Food is still one of our favorite albums.
congratulation on your 14yr anni, my wife and I came up on our 19th this year; keep the faith and stay in there!!! Thanks for supporting us man, this means a lot!

Beautiful
Yup congrats!!
realest story ever
I feel you. "Soul Food" was such a great album. It didn't just have dope beats. It was heartwarming. It was the sound of niggas in the ghetto struggling, but without violence against one another. The song "Guess Who?" reminds me of my mom, especially Cee-Lo's verse. My mother passed last year and I can't hear that song without crying.
Cell Therapy is one of the greatest songs and beats of all time
Soul Food helped save my life. In 1994-1995, I was 15 yrs old going to Anniston High School in Anniston Alabama. Southerplayalisticadillacmusic and Soul Food was the soundtrack to my life. SALUTE
BoomBox256 dirty South
BoomBox256 Yes boy Soul food was water in the dessert
Boombox256 I feel you on that it helped me get councious
BoomBox256 I was at Cobb Elementary in the Dope as well when I first heard this album and I still listen to it to this day. Timeless music
I was in 10th grade in 1994. I feel the same way.
I was a 19 knucklehead when Soul Food dropped. I was in my first year in the Air Force and about to lose my career because I couldn't stay out of the streets. The timing was perfect because it inspired me to get it together. I cut out the negative influences and went on to have a successful 20 year career. To this day I say it is one of the most important albums ever created. Salute!
Praise Yah everything worked out for you, a lot of people can't say that!!
Sixfigas Salute Bruh! This album blessed me.
@@khujogoodiezone1 you have no idea how many y'all done touched with that Soul Food album. That's why I constantly say that y'all should do a commemorative book on the album (with lyrics and all).

Damn!! That's some shit
i remember my cousin was going to college at Morehouse and when he came home (Bham,AL) for Thanksgiving in 1995 he was bumping that Goodie Mobb Soul Food album and i was like mane this fye and them boys southern and from our next door cousins in Atlanta i bought that CD the next day at the old school music store Camelot Records and been hooked on the Dunegon Family ever since i hearld Player's Ball single from the KAST when i was 11 years old back in 1993. i might not be from Atlanta but our culture and ways in Birmingham was kinda the same as our cousins from tha A. So i went to college at Morris Brown and actually met Khujio at Backbone video shoot (5 deuce 4 Trey) at the West End Mall parking lot and he gave me and my homies Bible verses to read and post in our dorm room back in 2000 and spit some real life stuff to us about getting in our books and them chicks going to be there regardless. At they shows in Birmingham 22:00 we embrace them so much they use to come to our summer festival every summer and rock it.

PUT IT OUT!!!! This generation needs it more than ever. I remember being in my early 20’s - COMPLETELY BLOWED- and i heard Fighting for the 1st time. I had no idea what y’all was trying to convey. i literally listened to that song 6-7 times back to back. My mind couldn’t comprehend but my Spirit stood at attention. A seed was planted. Even if you reach ☝🏾ONE, it’d be worth it.
Plant that Seed man.
From the very first note you hear on Soul Food, that keyboard & Cee Lo's voice, my eyes water up. Its one of the greatest albums ever. The depth of each of their verses on all their songs is still so strong, it will never be duplicated. When Outkast & Goodie M.O.B. dropped, we were awe struck. The music they made 20+ yrs ago is still way more relevant than most music out now. So insightful & profound, they changed hip hop forever. Seeing Goodie M.O.B. live @ The Marshall Center (U.S.F.) in 98 is something I'll never forget. I lost my niece earlier that yr, & after that show, I got really emotional. Soul Food was just what my soul needed to heal. I can't thank Khujo Goodie & the rest of the D.F. enough for being the cornerstone of Southern hip hop. God bless yall. Much love & respect.
Man thanks for this comment, touching and heart felt...It was our pleasure to serve the people>..Peace....subscribe to my official youtube page and download new music at khujogoodie.bandcamp.com

Got to thank the brother personally back in the 90s at club112 for helping change my life..they were the first cats I could identify with from the hood that said you can use your head and be intelligent and not have to put a suit or a bow tie..lol..you could be yourself which the hood or the posh life don't let you do..you could be your own man and let your mind shine..changed my life..I went from trapping to rapping..to sitting on the porch laughing with my wife and watching my kids avoid my pitfalls..God is good
Praise Yah for that testimony brother much to you and your family!
Thank you..you truly truly have been used as a vessel for God...never thought the life I have was even possible..but you made believe it was mine and gave me strength the dark times..brother.I speak for so many young black men in the world
