Great video. Have cut trees with chainsaws and have cut one with a crosscut saw. Them guys that did it with a crosscut had to be something else to do that all day long. I have never cut trees for a living just around the house. Cut the one with the crosscut with my mother in law on the other end of the saw. She was the only other one there that knew how to make it work. Stay safe and God bless you'll.

Even though the brand new 572 beat a 20 year old 372, you can't beat a 372 for an all around saw, and a 395 for a bigger saw. Husqvarna 372 XP best saw ever made.

Good stuff man, had a great big what we call here in VA a ironwood tree blow down from neighbors yard into my yard in October of last year when Michael came thru here, tree was 40" at stump, limbed it with a Stihl pole saw, cut limbs with a echo 280e large limbs with a Stihl 391 and trunk with Stihl 660 with 28" bar, this was alot of work for an old man. Really enjoy your videos and can relate to what you do. Keep up the great work. 👍

Do you prefer the operation of one over the other? Since you already own the 372xp, would you "upgrade" to the 572xp if you had to spend your own money?

The 572 is an evolution of the 372 so it's about 200-300 more. Is it more dependable and easy to work on,no way to tell too new. Can't even, get it state side yet. The old 372 pre auto tune is nice and reliable and the average person can work on it without bringing it to the shop.

I'm a Husky guy, however, all the 4 series saws are to be avoided, absolute crap. Unless you're pro, see if you can grab a good used 350 or 365. The 365 will run you more money but it's an ANIMAL of a saw. I haven't tried any of the 5 series saws, they look to be great but when they fail they'll be too technical for most non pros to fix, and they're expensive. Any good used 3 series is where it's at.

CT3 sorry man got away from the you tube a bit. Mans saw's eat well like them both. So I guess its old vs new here which from what I can tell both saws did very well. Granted the 572 will be a great saw just as the 372 was back in the day, never had a 372 but had good saw with the 562xp as the newer ones and they are at least 3 years old. man all that new PPE on you looking good where is the Link for the that helmet? Keep up the good work love you channel... LATER TATER

Now do it with a 32" bar burried. Results will be opposite. 572 is a screamer but lacks the mid range of the 372 once the bar length is bigger.

Great old saw, pulls awesome. Really nice firewood saw, very torquey for a 50+cc saw. They would almost like a leaf blower with that old air injection too.

Why do I see some 372s with low top covers like as if its a 365 while other 372s with high top covers?

Not sure what your grind on your chain is like. But it looks like you are pushing on your saw. The chain should be pulling it's own through the wood.

My GGF was the First Sergeant,26th Georgia, 2nd Corps, ANV. My grandfather was a private in Company A, Georgia Cadets..my family has served this country since before there was a country and I descend from 16 Revolutionary Soldiers, one of which died in the revolution. If i had the choice of buying only one saw (for cutting big timber), i'd go with the Husqvarna 372xp. It's reliable and it has alot of fans all over the world (alot of punch and power for it's size and weight). Sorry, but the new generation has too much electronics in it. ... Greetings from Canada !

I have a 372 xp I have two bars for it a 24 inch and a 28 inch. With a new or sharp chain it can really get the job done . Cut many large hard woods with it hickory , white oak, red oak here in central Ky. Always have to refuel after felling and bucking a large tree and sometimes before. Great saw..
