      @thundercactus Před 5 měsíci +5

@@TrynaLift-zv5st Ukraine has regained substantial amounts of territory this year, while russia has failed miserably in every single counteroffensive they tried to mount. They've lost hundreds of officers and have resorted to conscripting prisoners into front line penal battalions with little or no training, and we can see from satellite imagery that they're pulling large numbers of T54s and T55s out of storage facilities.
The only metric you could possibly be using to justify "winning" is that russia is still hanging onto the halves of 4 provinces by their fingernails.
At the start of the war, russia claimed it would take all of Ukraine including Kyiv, then it claimed it would take 4 eastern provinces, now it's looking like they can only manage to take halves of them. russia keeps moving the goalpost of what they consider "victory" in light of their frequent and seemingly endless failures.
At this point, we wouldn't be surprised if Ukraine manages to liberate Crimea next year.
So the real quesiton is: are you mad that russia is losing? lol

Fun fact. The Malyshev Factory that domestically made some of the parts of the T-84 MBT went Bankrupt in 2021. They also never paid there workers and are still in hot water for violating Workers Rights and Corruption of its owners like the Legendary Kharkiv Tank Factory in late 90s early 2000s.

I think it is very good but it will be like the t-14 armada. It's there but it's not getting produced it's probably the best in the world but no good way to test it because there's only so few that exist. @@thecringeinspector5636 that's the point IF it existed, and IF it adhered to it's claims, it could have been the best tank in theory ( or at least one of the best). The point is that that tank was the EPITOME of the Soviet Tank development. There was always a current gen tank, and also some research and work done in advance for it's next gen improvement. So they had a current T80UD tank at the dissolution of the Soviet Union and they applied all of the available post Soviet advancements to it, and on top of that some better version western thermal sights etc. So that tank was literally the epitome of the Soviet Tank development, the best possible tank that the Soviet Union could have produce over it's 70 years of tank research and development, was released in that tank the T84 BM Oplot . So it's not like it came out of the blue or out of nothing. It had a solid Soviet basis behind it. And the tank in theory was good, however , as I've said in the beginning, if it had existed... It doesn't exist and Ukraine can't produce it without Russia (all of the previous production tanks were made together with Russian cooperation), and their official Russian parts replacement program for Oplot was supposed to be finished in 2025 ( I think that program was called "Bastion" if I'm not mistaken) and for obvious reasons we now know that it's not going to happen. So there's no point even discussing it. Ukraine has 4 of those tanks left. And they are basically only using 1 of them, and the rest 3 are there for spare parts. Cheers

The relatively safer ammo storage configuration of the Abrams is an advantage, however, it only works because the Abrams doesn't carry any dedicated HE/HE-frag rounds; such rounds are far more powerful than the canister and multi-purpose rounds used by the Abrams, but they are also a lot more explosive...
..The detonation of such rounds (not mere propellant cook-off) routinely obliterates the entire tank, and this is why the Abrams doesn't use this round.
HE/HE-frag rounds are particularly useful against fortifications, but they cannot be contained by blast doors or blow-out panels.

It wasnt just that "russian experts left" and ukrainians are idiots who cant make anything, no .. Its that these people in these cities left to russia for jobs.. They went for better paying jobs and many took russian citizenship.
Its why russia invaded they.. In their hubris though all the ukrainians would switch back to being russians just like that.. And to be honest if they invaded in 2014 and ukraines were suddrnly matched to russian wages 60% of ukrainians would have accepted it.
Not saying russia invading is good... But its based on logic.. Russian land russia people ect should be easy right? Haha well didnt work out..
But "ukraine" is a communist creation.
People in ukraine and western and southern russia have never been able to clearly tell eachother as seperate groups.. There is not a clear line "russian" and ukrainian.. Its more.. Somebody slowly feels more or less as you go further east or west.
When russia did that shit in 2014 they lost many factories they had funded in the ukrain to make weapons, ukraine had even a russian ballistic missile factory gunded in denipro.. If it hadnt closed ukraine would have large numbers of rockets similar to iskandr.... And ukraine lost 1000snds of workers, scientists ect who just went to russia to live.

There are, of course, some scenarios that fpv drone would destroy any tank, the crew can, for example, keep hatches opened or there can be other factors. That's why comparing just machines is discussable, because what fights is the system, the battlefield is far away from the popular tank games and tank battles are in fact quite rare.

I was hammering home to someone in chat roulette that the missile cruiser "Ukraine" was the same type as the cruiser "Moscow", they were of the same design, and previously the cruiser "Moscow" was called "Slava". Only, unlike the Ukrainians, the Russians upgraded “Slava”, and it was even on combat duty, but “Ukraine” is still rotting. They were not even able to properly dispose of it.
They have the same idea with tanks, saying they themselves created a unique tank with a unique engine.
And it was the same with the Mriya plane, which was not built individually from scratch by Ukrainians, but at the end of the existence of the USSR, it was built by a society of republics. This thing would only be great if it implemented some stuff from the Yatagan (The Nato variant intended for turkey like you mentioned with your video) with the bustle, Western *good* quality Fire control system and communications suite. Combining the Oplot-M and the Yatagan with the 120mm gun would make this a really great "Good enough" cheaper tank in comparison to it's contemporaries, but not the best...

In fact there are many more tank designs that had already demontrated such an amazing survivability in this conflict. The key factor here is to stay as far away from the frontlines as possible, it's also important to keep production figures low. Oplots maintain 700 km distance and that seems far enough. But there are more impressive numbers out there, french Leclercs, for example, operate as far as 2000 km away, to make sure that russians will never have a chance against them. However some designs are truly in the league of their own - EE-T1 Osório, just two of them produced and 11.000 km distance wins brazilian top spot in your survival rating!

Initially, I think they will look to technology to counter drones flying into them but from what we have seen in this conflict they will need to come up with some sort of change on the exterior of the tanks to stop even small drones from dropping an explosive on top of them. The way they have used small FPV drones along with larger kamikaze drones it will be interesting to see what tank designers come up with.
