- “Our clients are total urbanites. They love city living,” says designer Emilia Wisniewski of Studio 1NINE1. Making a condo in the heart of downtown Toronto feel family friendly for an urban couple with two young children is a balancing act. See how Emilia designed a serene, hotel-like space by installing new wall panelling, custom shelving and replacing the kitchen stone and hardware. Meanwhile, the kid-friendly condo features a dedicated playroom and a pretty nursery in shades of dusty mauve.

Another question...you talked about wallpaper in the foyer and then a texture on the wall behind the TV in the living room. Do you have a link for those?
Most interesting part of this design is the walnut used here and there, and the wallpaperin the bathrooms..everything else, Basic

I love her design. Very minimalistic yet a touch of class. However, I hate shower curtains with all my heart. A nice shower frame would have been better in the ensuite bathroom.

Love the work done here. A question though - why so many of these western apartments open into the kitchen as the first room from the front door? Why would you want not-so-familiar people entering your house to see what is being cooked?
The kitchen just inside the front door is a STUPID North American thing. I can think of nothing worse than tracking in the dirty outside right into the kitchen.
...and you forgot to instal the canopy on the "canopy bed"

Back to the boring stuff of this channel presented as it was the most vibrant and exciting.
You need to be careful about how you criticize. I know two young families that, because of budget constraints and other considerations, have recently installed flooring similar, if not the same, as the "terrible grey flooring" you describe, and they feel pretty good about it. I love rich and luxurious design, but not at the expense of dissing those who can't afford it but do their best to upgrade their older or builder-basic homes.
Open shelving right near the kitchen stove is a big mistake. The bed canopy would keep me awake at night.

There is not a big difference between before and after especially the kitchen. It is just different furniture. It is just a refresh. She is giving a link only to the furniture and accessories, there is no link to the materials she used because there is none.
very nice and comfortable.. however, the major thing is the budget.
Vegan "leather" is the best. Looks nicer, wears longer, and best of all no one was killed for the product!!!

The bed is horrible. Lots of open shelf for some horrendous show pc, with no practical storage. Genius.,..lol.
