@@philiphunn194 Definitely didn't expect to love Lower Decks as much as I did. But it's such a loving parody with a lot of heart while at the same time also being a really good Star Trek show to boot.
Just love that, no matter when, where or what species is involved, whenever 'mistress of the winter constellation' is mentioned everyone perks up in either astonishment, fear, respect or bit of everything.
0:58 Now that you mention it, I would love to see what Noel Wells would look like with green Orion makeup and the same haircut as D'Vana Tendi. She is already adorable in the animation. I think D'Vana Tendi would still be adorable if Noel Wells played her in live-action. 😉
Does anyone else hope that there will be another crossover episode of some sort which the whole ship and crew on Lower Decks somehow gets sucked into a portal with Strange New Worlds by some sort of stupid move like a rogue Q or time traveler that also some how brings in the Jeri Ryan's Enterprise which all three ships have to work together to stop this rogue Q or some kind of time traveler?
I don't think that'll be as possible since unlike the voice actors for Boimler, Mariner, Tendi, and Rutherford, half the actors don't really look the same as their animated counterparts (mainly Shaxs and Ransom).
Well i most certainly do and considering the success this episode had im sure its very possible although it might not be done the same way in fact it would be so cool if there is a next time for it to be Reversed where the SNW crew crosses over into the LD universe ❤❤
Shame the VAs don't all match their characters. I'd love to see Shax cause mayhem in some fight with the Enterprise crew thinking "noted, all security officers in the future are fucking crazy."
The four Starfleet personnel in here are all time travelers. Also pointless observation: there's one thing I've realized, the horonium used to return back to the future is the same horonium that activated to drag Boimler to the past, meaning they had enough juice for more trips.
You can tell this probably happens in the latest season of Lower Decks, because Ransom at that point is real buddies with Boimler, if not a chummy mentor
definitely happens in the interim between seasons 3 and 4 of Lower Decks. hell, in the trailer for season 4 that was released yesterday, Mariner says to Boimler "this is nothing compared to that thing with Pike that we can't talk about."

They should do the animated series version of Star Trek: Strange New World because Star Trek: Lower Deck is becoming successful so it wouldn't hurt to do another animated series version of Star Trek.

Boimler is going to be the best damn Admiral starfleet has ever seen. Look at this kids Arc so far..... and he's an Ensign!
I always assumed Mariner would become captain like her mom, with Boimler as her commander aka shenanigan minder.
I'm going to bet that he is going to mature some what. Remember this is 2380 who knows where he'll be in 20 years if he stays in Starfleet.
Personally I wouldn't mind seeing a live action series set in the Picard era Just so we can see where those 2 and the others do wind up
Mariner has the chops to be a captain. That's been stated over and over that everyone in her class expected her to be the 1st 1 to make it instead of Ramsey.
Her issue among others is that frankly she doesn't wanna deal with the mickey mouse BS that goes along with the job.
Remember her quote. ;" You know what ? I do get off on breaking protocol. I'm good it's always space machines exploring strange new worlds and kicking butt. Protocol is for people who need to be told what to do which I don't "
In other words mariner is Kirk like . Because everybody knows James Kirk broke protocol every damn chance he got.
The problem is You can't do that in that era of Starfleet.
@@louistaplin4665 Well, that, or she has another reason for wanting to avoid responsibility at all costs. Something that even she might not entirely understand.
Obviously they'll both be captaining their own ships in the future! From there they'll go farther into Star Trek history
1:56 "NO!" Pike is so done with time travelers.
"Because he sleeps face down like a baby!"
Lower decks has some of the best crew dialog
I just finished this episode, I haven’t watched Lower Decks but this crossover has sold me on giving it a try once SNW is done this season.
Lol I'm the opposite, this made interested in watching snw after season 4 of Ld, my only gribe with this cross over, no live action dolphin officer's
Lower Decks is wonderful. It's got a genuine, sincere love for the franchise amongst all the slapstick comedy antics - the amount of deep-cut references in its jokes is crazy.
@@philiphunn194 Definitely didn't expect to love Lower Decks as much as I did. But it's such a loving parody with a lot of heart while at the same time also being a really good Star Trek show to boot.
The love between these series is great 😊.
Just love that, no matter when, where or what species is involved, whenever 'mistress of the winter constellation' is mentioned everyone perks up in either astonishment, fear, respect or bit of everything.
Mariner and Boimler are so much more charismatic and funny in real life than in animation.
not much subtly you can convey with a line for a mouth
0:58 Now that you mention it, I would love to see what Noel Wells would look like with green Orion makeup and the same haircut as D'Vana Tendi. She is already adorable in the animation. I think D'Vana Tendi would still be adorable if Noel Wells played her in live-action. 😉
That's going to be a hellava hangover in the morning.
As a Long Term Trekkie, I loved this episode reminded me of Mud & Tribbles, the Funny side of Trek..
This episode made me really want "lower decks" in live action.
Have you ever drank alcohol so strong that you feel 2 dimensional?
Nope, but is that a thing?

“What the hell is in these things?!”
Be funny if Ransom was transported instead that way he can share scenes of him trying to hit on his actual wife
trying, then getting laid out with one punch(given that Una has displayed Vulcan level strength, if not greater)
@@Graniteheart Ransom is his own great-great-grandpa.
@@CaptainBardielRoswell That Ends Well
@@CaptainBardiel He did do the nasty in the pasty.
Twice would be overdoing it. But a cross over with a different show would be awesome, like Prodigy.
Shame prodigy got canned :(
Aw so the plot goes full circle, that's sweet.
The four Starfleet personnel in here are all time travelers.
Also pointless observation: there's one thing I've realized, the horonium used to return back to the future is the same horonium that activated to drag Boimler to the past, meaning they had enough juice for more trips.
This 2as one if my all time favorite episodes if Star Trek. The cross over was amazing.
2381 according to Boimler's stardate
To get nerdy, based on the stardate this immediately follows the episode Hear All, Trust Nothing in thr third season.
@@giftheck yep, it takes place between the visit to DS9(Hear All, Trust Nothing) and the Peanut Hamper centric episode(A Mathematically Perfect Redemption)
Goddamn I can’t believe this episode was released yesterday.
Best Episode in Season 2 so far !!!
"Cause we are time travellers...as we've been telling, I feel like he doesnt listen"
oh damn
TOS: Those old scientist
Damn thats clever
I spent the whole episode with a stupid grin on my face. 😆
I can't believe I'm going to write this, but could this crossover be an annual tradition? Like the DC crossovers but, y'know, better? I've only seen a few clips and I'm debating signing up for Paramount Plus. Too funny!
m'benga: what the hell are in these things.
😂😂❤❤
Make sense since he's a medical officer lol
This was the absolute best episode. I loved it so much.
I am STILL geeking out over this episode!
WE NEED MORE!
I'd love an episode where Tendi goes back in time and meets her great grandmother. She'd be so disappointed that her family is full of the kinds of criminals her species is stereotyped as.
Was not prepared to have such a crush on Mariner
Ironically, this episode made me want a live action lower decks series.
I want to see a fanfic about Pike's crew visiting the future and meeting the USS Cerritos
I watched this episode while working my way through SNW, and I thought that I'd better watch Lowed Decks - and it is great! 😂
Never forget that the ep ends with Pike and Crew tripping balls off Orion Hurricanes 😂
This is my favorite all-time (any series) ST episode ever.
Best.
Crossover.
EVER!
Best Crossover Episode EVER!😊😊😊
No way, these two were from Lower Decks.... And they are the actual voice actors for the animated version!!
I love the voice actors are in the show it is so cool
This episode was so much fun!
So cool seeing them in live action.
1:06 Okay, see, that ship *totally* belongs to Tendi's great-grandma. No way it doesn't. She's just letting the dude pretend to be the captain in classic Orion fashion. That might even be her standing over on his right by the portal. That's why her nickname is basically the password and from that second on the "captain" is totally 100% cooperative and even throws in some nice gifts.
That was hillarious. Wish I had Paramount. Someday!
Man this is so awesome.
This is damn trippy - as well as being a cool storyline.
The actor for Boimler was the perfect choice, but i feel like Mariner was way too tame.
Yeah, Tawny as Mariner usually sounds like she had an overdose of coffee.
Dude! He's talking about his wife! 😆
I didn't expect the SNW crew to end up animated at the end. This was my favorite episode of Lower Decks.
They should do the animated series version of Star Trek: Strange New World because Star Trek: Lower Deck is becoming successful so it wouldn't hurt to do another animated series version of Star Trek.
I could totally see Brad and Mariner being a captain / first officer combo but I can't figure out who would be better for which.
Honestly, at this point in time, I think Boimler would fit the bill of captain better. Mariner doesn't want big titles, she wouldn't want to climb the ranks as fast, but she would do it to stay besides Boimler.
But hey, things can change in future seasons!
@@ChevaliersEmeraude agreed, based on what we have already seen she should at least be a LtCmdr by now based on years of service, she may very well be the oldest Ensign in the fleet.
Brad would be better suited as Captain cause Mariner would prefer being down where the action is, so she'd probably want to be first officer due to having more leeway.
Borm as captain of science vessel but first officer mariner keeps trying to be as usual anything else
They switch whenever they get bored.
Those 02 are great duos!! Star Trek: Lower Decks & Strange New Worlds
I wish I could give a bigger thumbs up to this episode. It was so hilarious.
I wanna see more of them in later seasons. Hopefully "the cleaner" and the rest of the gang can come back
