    I use the foam sheets to cut my top because they are softer than cardboard and hold their shape. Also cut a longer X

    For people who are having trouble, try loosening up the 2nd fold after you put them in the jar. They have to be in there loosely, or they hold onto each other too tightly and tear. Try using a smaller stack of tissues as well, just to get the hang of it. You can bump up the stack size a little each time you reload it until you figure out what works for you.

    Works for the first 2 tissues or so and then they just tear. I’ve tried 3 different brands and all do the same. I think I’ll just go back to boxes.

    My Kleenex brand tissue box isn't the one where you can pull it through the slot on top. It pulls open down along the side and the tissues aren't together like some of the others, they just sit on top of each other. Do you have any ideas on how to make that work?

      @Cam Lynn I think she uses craft foam for the dust barrier rather than fabric. I also use a "pleather" now which is thicker and it works well too.

      maybe use less tissue in the Jar? The other option is to purchase the tissues that come in round cylinder. They are called Kleenex Perfect Fit. They are pricey, but will work well. www.kleenex.com/en-us/products/facial-tissues/trusted-care/perfect-fit

    I have the half pint size mason jars. Will this work with that size? I got scotties tissues from the dollar tree. Will that matter?

    • @forsophiedesigns8786
      @forsophiedesigns8786  Před 6 lety +1

      I think that the half pint would work well too, even using up to a half inch thick bundle of tissues like in this jar (there is a lot of extra room in there, it is the mouth opening that limits what can be stuffed into the jar). I use tissues from the dollar tree all the time in my jars, as long as they are the pop up style they should work just fine.Let me know how your half pint jar turns out!Heather

      @@MakeupByAnshika you need to use a "pop up" style tissue like kleenex brand. For example, puffs tissues won't work because they don't "pop up" through the box. Does this make sense?
