Is Formula E the future of motorsports?

Formula E is now in its 10th Season - it feels both very new and an established series. If F1 used to be the R&D laboratory for our road cars, is Formula E now our modern-day R&D as more people turn to EVs and more OEMs are investing in electrification? And is Formula the future of motorsports or just a different kind of racing?

I really loved the last few videos, but keep getting distracted by hand movements.
Anyways, I'm interested if Formula E will go slightly towards EVs like McMurtry Speirling and Rimac Nevera similarly like how F1 had Aston Martin Valkyrie and Mercedes AMG ONE? And also, how can Formula E be enticing for Sim Racers? And lastly, what is Autonomous Racing League?

I think it is but its also a downgrade imo. We have no choice but to use formula e lol its like when losing weight you have no choice but to eat less meat and more lettuce xD
