- Here's what you need to know as an F1 content creator in terms of accreditation and access. This year was my third consecutive time at COTA for the F1 US Grand Prix. All three years I've had different passes and accreditations and worked with the different F1 teams, the promoter, sponsors and media.

@2:17 - also, working photographers receive media passes - whether they are working for photo agencies such as Getty, or local/national/international publications. I've worked with both international publications as well as photo agencies. Certain criteria is also required - not just anyone who has a camera is granted accreditation. Additionally, a "Still Photography" sticker is required to be placed on the camera in order to be able to have track access - also required is a Media Photographer tabbard allowing one to access the track's service road to be able to photograph safely from the track.
Thank you so much for sharing! As someone who has attended races for a while I’ve always wondered this!
This makes me so happy to hear. Thank you for taking the time to stop by and share this
EVERYTHING you ever wanted to know about paddock passes and FIA accreditation
Super helpful and thank you for breaking down one of the topics that is a challenge to obtain detailed information on!
Your videos are so interesting to watch and you do a very good job of presenting all of the information in a way that is easy to understand and I was engaged the whole time ! Please upload more xx
A great video, & it for sure is a little complicated 😅😅 i guess for the hardcore fan that has followed the sport for years & that can "buy" you accsess would be the Paddock Club :)
Great video!! Do you know the difference between all the accreditations colors or Journalist Paddock vs Journalist PitLane?
Loved the content, and the nail job is 🔥❤🔥
Informative video, do you have any advice you’d give on content that might cause problems if a fan wanted to make a vlog of their experience at an F1 event? Would you say limit on track footage?
As a fan filming from 'fan access' you should be able to post whatever you want. I've seen so many fan and influencer vlogs with on-track footage and they seem to have been absolutely fine. But it's murky waters for sure so to be on the safe side I would say focus more on everything beyond the on-track stuff.
Are these accreditations different for other series?
Yes and no. The different levels are similar - media accreditation (especially for other FIA series), paddock access and hospitality exists is most series (but not all) but how you get these credentials and how hard/easy it is varies quite a bit.
Do you get access to paddock with media accreditation?
yes you get access to the media center and the Paddock, not paddock hospitality
@@tonicowan-brown thank you! Do you get access to the pit lane or that’s separate?
I simply chatted my way into the Mexico GP in '88. Times have changed haha
