@@dieptrieu6564 Meg flourishing on her own doesn't mean that she won't miss her family or not have any problems. The whole point is that Meg is capable on her own. She could move out and live by herself, but still visit her family from time to time. She easily handled the problem with the scammer all by herself too.

The crazy thing is it’s pretty easy to become a naturalized Russian. The marriage is official, so all Meg has to do is wait 5 years and apply for citizenship. Becoming a US citizen even through a marriage visa is much more difficult. My dad didn’t get fully naturalized until I was and so a lot of my early childhood was full of immigration meetings, getting asked questions, sessions with lawyers, waiting on documents, and so on. All the marriage visa let you do is get you into the country with it on record that you are married to an American. You don’t have permissions to stay permanently, it doesn’t offer any immediate past citizenship, you can’t even work with it. So then you have to separately and in sequence apply for your work for permit, and then your permanent residency, and then your citizenship. Keep in mind all of these not only have lotteries to quarters, but you can also be denied for any reason at all up to, including they just felt like denying you. The rules are complicated and unforgiving. And the whole process is slow and expensive.

All that right next to graves that have long collapsed and are overgrown with weeds, the wooden crosses long rotten and turned to dust. No Russian cemetery looks like the one in this episode, but I couldn't care less because the authors got everything else right. Brilliant piece. 👍👍

There was a flaw with the cemetery, this is how graves in the USA may look, in Russia there are quite a few graves in which Orthodox crosses with a fence made of stone, wood or metal (fence) stand in place of the tombstones (grave fencing is standard).

@@xenyadominguez8209 The only death story I know from when I was in Russia, some idiots let their daughter out with their dog who got killed by it. This was around when I was 6, the dog was "put down" aka killed.
There were many strays though, maybe because of that. Heared it is quite dangerous, like going through a heroin strait in LA to the school.
Maybe you heared stories of dogs getting killed for football world cups. Brazil, Russia and SA had those stray dog killings en masse.
The reason why there are as many strays is because the trash dumps are open. In the warm regions they would stink the whole area if not covered. In Russia, because it is cold, the smell does not spread as much and the trash does not rot as fast. So people dont care as much. The smell is contained within around 10-20 meters in the winter even if the trash cans are open. The strays use trash to survive and keep reproducing.
The regualtions are getting stricter, so as far as I know, strays are getting rarer and such incidents are getting fewer as well.
These are just some of the reasons...

@@mariano98ify Yes we did, they added a last minute twist where it turned out that he was an ass so that they had an excuse to return Meg back to the status quo. It was a less than 10 second scene where he turned out to be using her and they could have easily cut it out and nothing would be wrong.
